My theater experience to Backrooms was pretty horrible with a lot of people sitting around me having no basic theater etiquette, istg the guy behind me was explaining lore to his friends even tho the movie was explaining it just fine.

OK SO…. WHY THE HELL IS HAYTHAM IN BLACK?! WHY IS CONNOR IN UNIFORM?!

Ok besties I have a reason. That’s mostly just IN UNIVERSE ideas on how they’d be depicted in the show. But— Haytham being in black and almost in plain is just the fact that the show as a simple style and i just gave up on drawing that damn tricorne. I’m on the belief if anyone were to mention him in history, they’d say he wore dark clothing with some gold. Which in turn, his LK version would be wearing black. (This might be a weak excuse to some but pls) Idk where he’d fit in the show but Connor however—

But why is Connor wearing a uniform?! Mostly because I think contemporaries will mistake him as wearing uniform, walk with me, but they’d say he was a native in uniform while having the white hood, which some people would believe in just to be wearing a modified uniform while he was “in service” hence his semi-accuracy in the show.

Also, i highly doubt people will know they’re related in that universe

Ok, i did some color picking from the show to get it right and ahh the limits of following this simple style😭 I’ll get better once i start actually studying this art style.
