When did you start Arknights? I got on it about a week after global release.

I started in april 2023 after having read Lingering Echoes story which I loved a lot. Tbh I had never planned to play AK back then bc I generally dislike gachas, I wanted to enjoy reading stories without touching the game itself. However when I was skimming through the list of events/banners I realized that taking the initial banner release date and the pattern into consideration, Ebenholz was supposed to appear in the standard HH around June, so if I started 'right now' I would manage to save at least something to be able to pull.

do i even need to say that it was my introduction to 'never pull on standard AK banners ever'?..... (I got Eben and after that I was taking him to every map and forcing him to work off everything I spent on his ass lolol)

I learnt about AK a bit earlier though, when I got commissioned an artwork of an OC wearing Specter's outfit. It got me curious about the game. That was how I came across LE. Ebenholz reminded me of Sound Horizon's Märchen - another favourite character of mine, so I decided to check the story out.
