Not one single word on page in acosf. Over 800 pages. And you want me to believe thats a romance sjm is giving us..lol ok

If you have read more than more romance series you would see the writing on the wall. It says “these two characters are not meant to be romantic!”

Elain deserves better than a man she doesn’t want to speak to, a man she shrink away from.

Sjm is doing a good job writing about how terrible forced marriage is.

Elain is easily one of my favorite characters. The way she is written is so beautifully nuanced and subtle. Her quiet strength and perseverance to rise above the label people have shoved her into all in the name of “protecting” her is perfect. She is so criminally overlooked because shes quiet and unassuming and as a woman I feel that so deeply, even when she was warning them in ACOWAR with her visions that all came to pass everyone but Azriel brushed her off as crazy(why their relationship is so perfect fyi). Her story is going to blow us all away and I for one, cannot wait to watch her haters eat their words. I mean, how insanely interesting is a Seer?? Boring is the last adjective I would use. And her clear set up of choosing love over fate and being a spy with Nuala, Cerridwen and Azriel?? Her upcoming story is one of the most unique and intriguing i have seen in a while.

Elain Archeron is a character whose potential has always felt limitless. Her arc is still unfolding, and there’s a sense of quiet anticipation around her, as though we are only beginning to see the surface of what she can truly become.

Her connection to the tale of Blodeuwedd has always fascinated me: a woman born of flowers, tied to the cycles of love, betrayal, and transformation. Like Blodeuwedd, Elain’s story carries undertones of beauty entwined with destiny, but also the possibility of breaking free from what others have decided for her.

Elain Archeron Week: In Full Bloom

My commission today is based on the Welsh goddess Blodeuwedd, also known as the "Flower Maiden" and the "Owl of Wisdom". Sarah J. Maas labeled a Pinterest photo of Blodeuwedd as Elain years ago so I think her story will be relevant to Elain's character arc!

Blodeuwedd was created from forest flowers with the sole purpose of being a man's wife. Much like Blodeuwedd, Elain has been told she belongs to a man she did not choose. Blodeuwedd went along as the "perfect wife" for a while - compliant, beautiful, and silent. We've seen a similar sentiment pushed on Elain as people insist that she must give her mate a chance despite her discomfort. She must suck up her feelings for his sake until she realizes that they're made for each other.

The cracks against this narrative have been slowly showing as Elain stands up for her right to choose for herself. Blodeuwedd ends up falling in love with a man that isn't the one she was created for and the strength of her story comes from the realization that she has the power to reclaim her agency. I think Elain's story will go down a similar path as she reaches her full potential.

Choosing who she loves, choosing to explore her powers, choosing the role she wants to fit into, defying expectations and the box many people have shoved her into. All of these actions will result in an empowering story perfect for a character like Elain who is often viewed as meek and complacent.

🪻Elain Week Day 4: In Full Bloom🪻

**ACOTAR and Crescent City spoilers **

🌅Elain Archeron- Dusk Personified 🌄

While reading the ACOTAR series, many Elriel shippers noticed the sprinkled dusk court hints associated with Elain. Even before HOFAS was published, it was theorized that Elain might be able to awaken the prison from its long slumber.

Time and time again, Elain has been described using dusk imagery:

~ Her scent is jasmine and honey, reminiscent of the night court (whose ruler is the direct descendant of Theia and Fionn.)

~ Her wardrobe color palette: A variation of pinks, blues, and purples.

~ Elain, glowing like the sun at dawn, and whose smile was as bright as the setting Sun.

Elain, as a character, contains multitudes. She can thrive during daylight hours, baking and gardening, and helping the people of Velaris. But just like flowers, she needs darkness to balance her out. When needed, she’s not afraid to do whatever it takes to protect her loved ones, even if it means traveling through shadows to protect her sister from the King of Hybern.

After HOFAS, Elriel shippers’ theories were even more confirmed. The way Theia nurtured the dusk court and made the island’s heart blossom and bloom, the way Bryce created gardens wherever she walked in Avallen after awakening it, and the way Bryce needed to combine her light and dark powers to awaken the island, reminiscent of Elriel’s description during the Truth-Teller scene, are all possible Easter eggs for a dusk court plot in the upcoming ACOTAR book.

Elain’s journey is full of light and dark imagery, and I can't wait for all the moments to culminate into something epic.

Seeds Planted | Elain Archeron Week

“Nesta started, not having heard her sister approach. She scanned Elain from head to toe, wondering if she’d been taking lessons in stealth either from Azriel or the two half-wraiths she called friends.”

It’s obvious that Sarah is setting up an arc for Elain that involves stealth and secret keeping, especially by making Elain’s friends/trio spies. I can’t wait to hear all the tea that Nuala and Cerridwen are going to spill to Elain (and us) in the next book!

I was so excited to come across @peebakoo ‘s work and immediately had to get in touch with her for this idea. She is the absolute sweetest and I’m so grateful she was able to fit me in for this playful piece of our girls! 💗

The stage is set for Elain’s story and I can’t wait to dive into her book. The white lily symbolizes healing and rebirth and that’s what this piece is all about. I believe Elain’s journey will be one of self-discovery, love, and embracing the new life she now has as Fae. I’m excited to see her flourish and come into her own!

Elain Week // Secret Garden

It’s no secret that for the romance-themed day, it could only be Elriel. The wait for their story has felt endless, but the thought that we know now that a draft of their book is out there in the world gives me the tiniest bit of hope that Elriel will be coming home to us soon. I can’t wait to read their love story 😭🥹
