Collin paid little attention to Austin's pouting, more than aware he wasn't truly upset. “I am the puppy.” Collin said, “But, if that's your way of trying to subtly turn that idea around and ask me to be the one that's begging, yeah, not going to happen.” He shot Austin a look that read 'so don't even try' after, because Collin was sure he could go longer without physical contact than Austin could, no question.
“You mean, a reminder to me to do.” Collin said, half suppressing a smile and half rolling his eyes, “Since I'm normally the one who does.” Which would mostly be because Collin didn't trust Austin to use the right soap, or water, or just generally not mix things he wasn't suppose to and turn everything red. Or more probably orange, since that was the color of Collin's favorite, and thus most frequently worn, hoodie. Though, if Austin really wanted to try laundry, Collin guessed he could oversee the process. Even if the likely hood of it turning into a soap fight was high, it'd be something they could laugh at each other about later.
Moving into the shower, strangely, actually made Collin less embarrassed. Because then Austin couldn't look at all of him at once, but rather only in parts, and while some people might find being cut into just parts as more objectifying, Collin found it to be less so. Maybe because he was more used to it. Though that was to say nothing about the nervousness which was now rising slowly inside him. They'd been fine the first time, more than fine really, but this was different because his body has something of a vague memory of how this was suppose to go. Collin flicked his eyes up to look at Austin's, and found there was a similar sort of thing lurking behind his eyes from when they were in the other room only much more prominent now. Collin wasn't sure how to describe it, it was something possessive, sure, but it was more than that. He hesitated on lust because this seemed a lot more controlled than that word would suggest, and desire seemed too bland to capture the depth of it. Warm, maybe.
Collin stood mostly still as Austin moved in towards him, feeling how soft he was being. Collin hummed at the mention of the water temperature. Sure he'd thought about it, but maybe not in conjunction with Austin's perspective. “It's not that hot.” Collin said, “Just let me relax into it a little first ok? Then you can change the water if you want.” Or rather needed to. Collin wasn't oblivious to the fact that Austin's resting body temperature was higher than at the start of their relationship, he'd been sleeping next to him for the past several months after all, but it didn't change the fact that Collin had just woken up and his body was kind of still lethargic at the moment. “I'll be fine, promise.” Collin said, crossing his arms loosely over Austin's shoulder's and tilting his head down to kiss him.
