Opening today, One Basquiat consists of a single, exceptional painting by Jean-Michel Basquiat, a celebrated artist who was born and raised in Brooklyn. Created in 1982, the year Basquiat took New York by storm, the painting, Untitled, is emblematic of his early success and ranks among the artist’s most powerful paintings. In the single decade of his artistic career, cut short by premature death, he went from writing witty, cryptic aphorisms on the street to becoming an international art star. Untitled is on view now through March 11 thanks to the generous support of Mr. Yusaku Maezawa.
Jean-Michel Basquiat (American, 1960–1988). Untitled, 1982. Acrylic, spray paint, and oilstick on canvas, 721/8 x 681/8 in. (183.2 x 173 cm). Collection of Yusaku Maezawa. © Estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat. Licensed by Artestar, New York

If you are feeling sads, I think Ai WeiWei: Never Sorry is a good movie to watch for survival mechanisms. I think about his absolute determination quite often when I feel like lying on the floor and giving up. It’s on Netflix Instant.

Packaging for The Living Food by Francesc Moret Studio
“Packaging for a vegan cheese firm of THELIVINGFOOD a Bio-Vegan Store. The family of nine cheeses has been designed under three great concepts: Cruelty Free, Quality and Honesty. These concepts are reflected in packs where imperfect geometry is the protagonist. It has been searched the main value of each cheese for a descriptive illustration of this.”
Francesc Moret Studio is a graphic design studio specialized in corporate identity and branding. Fanatics of rational forms where each design narrates a concept and intentions to flee from merely visual forms. Lovers of good living, nature and Wilco.
