My name is Elder Nelson, and I'm a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! (uh is that in the right order? I don't really know... I genuinely have no clue!)

I uhm, may have joined The LDS Church accidentally.. about 2 years ago when these good-looking guys came knocking at my door, and I gave them my full legal name haha...

BUT NOW IM IN UGANDA, SPREADING THE STORY OF OUR PROHPET JONAS SMITE AND WORDS OF OUR HEAVENLY FATHER!

Guys, I really hope I spelt his name right. I haven't read the actual book yet... haha.... DON'T TELL ANYONE THAT.

I'm 19 years old and come from Sydney, Australia and I've lived there my whole life! Until now, I guess!

I uh, don't know much about being a Mormon... but I guess I am one now so!!

I'm a dancer, and I play the alto and tenor saxophone. I'm really sad I wasn't able to bring my tap shoes or my saxophones to Uganda, but it's alright!

I’m not normally active online, my parents don’t like social media, but since I’m away from them for a while, Sister Hopkins managed to convince me that it would be fun if I helped with her blog, and I didn’t want to shut her down. Seeing as she’s a good friend…

I’d say we’re close, but sometimes it feels like she gets a little shy around me. I’m not sure why, especially considering she’s normally super talkative, I just hope I haven’t done something to intimidate her, I’m told I can come off a little scary to some people.

My first impressions of Uganda:

- The transport is more expensive than Sydney trains.. WOW! I didn't know that could happen! - There's so many cool animals. I saw a giant spider ant fusion thingy... It was chasing me, which is pretty awesome! - The locals were laughing at with me, I think they like me already! - I'm going to be an excellent Mormon missionary!!!!!
