Birthdays are generally not great for me. We don’t have a great track record. That being said...

33 got off to a great start, thanks to the endless graciousness of one particular angel.

I’m in London to see Nye on my birthday and I had to make a very specific pit stop.

I’m still not quite over this.

Today was a scary day because it was finally time to repot all of my plants. All of them.

First up was the monstera, because I was pretty sure when I got her, there were at least three plants jammed in there.

I was right. Except there were FOUR.

The parlor palm and pilea graduated to bigger pots. My philodendron just got a new soil mixture. My black velvet alocasia and gold dust dracaena remained in their pots, I was honestly too exhausted to deal with them today.

Aaaaand just like that, with another “final” extension, I will make my ACTUAL final return to Manderlay this May.

I’ve been trying to put into words what this installation means to me and how it has impacted the trajectory of my life.

I won’t have to think about it until after May 15, at least.

So I’m seeing Jeremy Strong in Enemy of the People. And then two nights later, I’ll be in London where I was able to snag a last minute ticket to see Sarah Snook in the one-man Picture of Dorian Grey.

I guess Willa really won Succession after all.

There is nothing more rage inducing than having your proposal trashed by the only other woman in the meeting, only for her to praise the SAME EXACT proposal 20 minutes later when “thought of” miraculously by the men.
