Elderstar’s fur looks so fluffy; I’d be so tempted to just crawl up and nap on his softness while he’s asleep. Maybe the kits do that and get away with it? I think that would be adorable, hint hint. :3

On some days,, his fur is very soft. A 12/10 napping spot.

On other days,,, a stale rug,,, Not very comfy

Elderkit is named after an elder tree not an old cat. Like his siblings are named after plants too, including Ashfur. (Ash tree)

We are aware! It's a lot more fun to imagine that he was named after age. Especially since the oldest cats in the clan are called elders.

So, is Brambleclaw still the deputy for Elderstar? If so, I can just imagine him thinking “Die, die already! DIE BEFORE I RETIRE! Please, I just wanna be leader!!”

Em and I got a question about this not too long ago, and we decided that Elderstar would choose one of the oldest cats! He chose Cloudtail the legend to be his deputy, and when I personally think of Cloudtail I like to think he’s one of the lazier cats. So they both nap quite often, making them the perfect leader/deputy duo ;)

Elderkit is an actual character! He was born and died offscreen, however he is the kit of Brindleface, Ashfur and Ferncloud’s brother.
