How dare you two not subscribe to the Taylor is a saint idea that a lot of people have now.

(this is sarcasm in case anyone can’t tell lol).

But also I third it. You can’t replace any of the three no matter how much people wish or want it to happen and I’d say the band would retire before that happened.

When Zac was injured it became really apparent to me that Hanson’s sound is a combination of all of them.  The songs lost so much character when it wasn’t Zac drumming and I don’t know if that would have ever occurred to me before  seeing it.  So sure.  You could replace Zac and the band would be functional, but would the band be successful?  I argue that the band would lose a lot of character which I believe is a huge part of why so many of us have stuck around for so long.  We came for the music, and stayed for the character.  

Yes Taylor has a unique sound, but they all do.  And it’s the combination that makes Hanson what they are.  For example Tinted Windows hit differently than Hanson even though Taylor was their front man.  

Also, I won’t even get into this the way I want to... but to say that the others aren’t as “original” as Taylor?  If you really watch behind the scenes/studio videos, especially older ones, I’d argue that Zac is actually more original.  Or at least strives to be.  In my observation, he’s the one often pushing the band to try new things and push them out of the box while Taylor argues to pull back into the classic pop hook.
