Y'all, I usually don't post cause the idea of social interaction completely terrifies me, but I'm just here venting for a lil bit, I don't really have anyone to vent to as is.
Stardew Valley used to be my comfort game until some not so great people ended up part of my life and I had to take a 2+ year break from it.
So I returned to it this year cause things are honestly kind of hellish right now, I need all the comfy I can get. I put myself together a lil (okay, its way too big) list of mods, excited to mess around with them.
I end up finding an interaction between two of the mods that caught me off guard, so I post on the Nexus mods page, asking if this interaction is intended, and the mod creator replies to me as if I'm stupid.
The rest of their comments to other posters are honestly them being nice & helpful, so I assume that hey, they might just be having a really bad time of things. That's okay, everyone has off days.
I won't be naming names for the mod or the modder cause that would be rude.
I still try and be helpful, I figure out what mods are interacting with one another. Easy enough fix, I disabled the other mod, explained my testing, and basically was going to leave it at that.
But they reply still talking to me like I'm stupid. They put words in my mouth, accusing me of requesting the other mod be supported and I wasn't doing that at all.
After learning it wasn't intended, I just wanted to share the interaction in case someone else encountered it.
I told them that hey, I wasn't asking for support, and wished them a nice day.
They deleted the whole post & reply chain.
It's honestly kinda put a damper on me wanting to play for a bit again, and I almost don't want to interact with their mods in the future, either.
