the spells - champion vampire

i know WILD FLAG is the new it band but before them was mary timony’s and carrie brownstein’s little side project called the spells. as far as i know, they recorded the bat vs. bird EP separately on different coasts. it’s solid.

karaoke fail

tonight I sang "Sunday Girl" by Blondie at karaoke because Mary Timony listed it as her go-to karaoke song, but the version the karaoke bar I go to had didn't have the French interlude that my version of the song has. So, I kind of bopped around looking ridiculous for the last half of the song.
