those girls who yumeship or ship their female OC with Nagito pmo because it is so blatantly erasing the identity of a gay man but they never listen because “he could be bi!” It really pisses my off because Nagito has shown no signs of attraction to women and is so clearly implied to be gay but they won’t stop erasing the queer aspects of his character.

Feels like that whole Mizitill discourse in the Alien Stage fandom (which I’m not a part of but I have watched it) these people refuses to acknowledge a character queer identity to keep whatever hetslop pairing with no chemistry canon to them, it’s pathetic that they refuse to admit the depth and plot behind the character’s identities as queer people and brush them off as if they don’t matter.

Characters like Nagito and Mizi’s queer identity very much matters to them and their characters and I don’t understand why these people refuse to see that and then when we speak up against them they victimize themselves and act as though they’re the minority.

And all the Nagito ships with canon women characters suck ass anyway, and have shit chemistry, yeah I fucking said it, if they think they can erase a gay man’s identity, then I’m not going to be scared to shit talk their straggotslop ship

#also the fact he just is canonically gay???#i genuinely hate how people ignore gay male characters #he genuinely shows a difference in behavior towards men and women #and people in fandom just ignore it for some reason #some fans see a character thats 'attractive' (twink #)since komaeda is a twink and people find him hot #(i dont get it but its a fact of fandom) but theyll see a character like that and be pissed about if that character is aroace or gay #in komaedas case they deny his homosexuality because they prefer the idea of him in their head much more than the actual him in text #it ties back to how in real life some people just ignore what others identify as because they personally want them #its just a weird sign when people ignore the queerness of a character because they personally find them attractive
