What I know about businesses (specially big ones) is that they plan things carefully and maybe even study it first, they don't put things "in their home page!!" Randomly!!!!, Ps. And there is a heart too OMG!!
Of course anon. There’s no way a big company do stuffs randomly (w/o being planned), especially regarding advertisement because that’s how public gonna see their brand.
A brand might use something that would tell their public that they are supporting certain agenda to look more appealing to public (so they can attract more costumers)
Hats On is a Korean brand, it means their main target is Korean market. And since they just did promotion in China (Shanghai), it means they’re targeting Chinese market too. Yet the thing is Hats On official page is in Korean language (hangul), so it means the website is for Korean costumers only.
Why they’re using KD pict for their page?
And why they added the ‘heart’? Why not adding ‘star’ or any shape that is not a 'heart’ on the pict? (IMO the 'heart' kinda stands out – due to its color and shape that’s a bit disconnected with the rest of the pict, it was added there deliberately, but for what purpose? To ‘sweeten’ the pict? Perhaps the editor is KD shipper too hmmmmm)
Would using KD pict as their main ad make them appear more appealing to public in SK (thus attracting more potential buyers)? Does this mean KD has a big impact (huge popularity) in SK, not only among KD fans but public in general?
Before Hats On, there have been few companies that using KD picts to promote their products, such as Lotte / Pepero, Baskin-Robbins, Ivy League, SPAO, even South Korean Red Cross use KD pict.
(^their shirt has these words: 희망풍차 = windmill of hope(?), perhaps its the Red Cross’ motto)
Anyway, it seems lots of people in SK like KD…. Media outlets, brands/companies (beside S M ofc – shady mofo only ever put these two together in same events twice [in the expand of 5 years; 2012-2016], and there would be at least one e x o member tagging along with them, KD has never been put together; just the two of them w/o other member, in the same event, why S M? Aren’t they just ‘platonic-bro-no-homo’?), and from what I’ve heard KD fanbase in SK is HUGE (they’re gonna held an event together called;카디전 in Feb 2017, idk what exactly is this…), even the nation’s Red Cross … Hm, KD is really adored by many, i wonder why~
