Spinel was back at his office, the pendant having escaped his grasp, so close to achieving his goal just for the item of his interest to be pulled away from his grasp. It was all quite a blur, one moment he was close to complete victory, those wretched children cornered by his trusty Umbreon, though, that was all for naught as the pendant had escaped his grasp, somehow expelling a strange pokemon whom had led the kids to safety among the other pathetic Volt Tacklers.
Spinel could still remember the glow of the pendant moment before it had escaped his grip, his train of thought interrupted by a quick knock at the door.
“…”
“Excuse me, Sir?”
He perked up at the noise, recognizing it as his trusty subordinate, one that he had just earlier sent to observe and report on the activities of the Rising Volt Tacklers, based on the surveillance provided by his Magneton, but he didn’t expect them to return so soon. After his moment of surprise, he spun his chair, facing away from his monitors and towards the door,
“Come in.”
The door creaked open, as their partner pokemon, an enthusiastic and playful Sylveon, ran inside the room, approaching Spinel’s Umbreon, who was curled up by the foot of Spinel’s chair. At the noise, his Umbreon’s ears perked up, stretching its small body before joining the Sylveon’s side, the two eeveelutions nuzzling each-other in contentment. They followed behind their Sylveon, standing to face Spinel, their demeanor reminiscent of a child when they knew they were in trouble, causing him to sigh in a sense of disappointment and annoyance before questioning,
“What happened this time?”
They tensed at his tone of voice, bracing for the inevitable scolding they were bound to face, after all they’d never get used to the pure, unadulterated disappointment that’d radiate off of him whenever they’d done something wrong.
To be continued… :3

Synopsis: Scaramouche/Wanderer’s thoughts while regaining his memory during the archon quest
TW: SUICIDAL THOUGHTS
First Person POV:
When I agreed to regain my previous memories I never thought It’d be this painful.
I thought It’d make me feel whole again, as if a piece of my life would be revealed to me, making me feel fulfilled, and quenching my curiosity; Instead, it’s suffocating, painful even.
the first betrayal I’ve ever faced, the day I awoke in that cursed domain, abandoned by my creator, my mother. Created as a vessel, abandoned for my humanoid emotions.
Emotions, cursed emotions; the tears I had so gracefully shed, a sign of weakness she’d thought before sealing me away and leaving me to rot.
Why had I awoken?
(Note: this is unfinished so if people want me to I’ll gladly continue. I was really bored during a free period while listening to Mitski and this idea kinda just formed, I hope y’all enjoy this!! Sorry in advance if it’s bad, my writing low key kinda sucks)
Comments and reblogs are extremely appreciated <3
Wanderer is enrolled in Vahumana, the Darshan that focuses on aetiology and social sciences.
Scaramouche is a criminal justice major. (extremely ironic considering his past as the 6th harbinger)
Because of this past, he’d be pretty good at his major, always raising the curve. (people absolutely hate him for that)
Is the absolute worst partner (no offense to him) He’d silently judge you for the way you work, mentally calling you incompetent, and ultimately does the entire project himself.
He has intense anger issues, but an immense amount of self-control that he has to channel to get through his day.
Personally believes that his major is straightforward, the constant essays nothing compared to the paperwork of his past.
Because of his mindset towards the difficulty of his work, he often gets irritated when his colleagues ask questions he considers stupid.
Treats his time at the academia as a pastime, simply because it’s not complex enough for him to really worry about.
(Critiques and opinions are appreciated, please inform me if I have mischaracterized him in anyway <3)
