cant believe i wasnt on the vpyro bullshit sooner. hes so full of rage. hes so jealous. he feels slighted and simultaneously like he deserves it. hes vengeful. he killed avid because he couldnt control himself. he turned shelby because he couldnt control himself. he goaded shelby into killing him because he couldnt control himself. he never laid a finger on her. he wanted to be loved but he pushed everyone away because he expected to be loathed. he hates himself. he died unloved and alone. god

This is like. Semi Celestial Metals neg. I love them so much and they're my mains but in relation to Legs I feel so conflicted about them at the moment. So if that irritates you pls scroll past.

Celestialmetals I need to be so fr rn. I don't think any of them are healthy for tf!legs at this stage of crisis. It's easy to be all talk about sticking together and supporting each other in defiance of the books in concept, but when the shenanigans actually hit it doesn't hold up. When something happens they watch him sit at a distance with apprehension, and don't ever draw him back into the fold. Sausage gets the closest, but he doesn't have the best approach because his perspective can't separate 'Legs' and 'Weapon' and he's far too blasé about violence. There's no backbone about actually ensuring he has people to fall back on. If you have a walking nuclear bomb you claim to call your friend, slowly alienating him due to your own subconscious discomfort about what he MIGHT be able to do surely won't make that MIGHT a DEFINITE.

He breaks down alone. He walks alone. He has a distance none of them challenge or even question. They have no thought for his presence outside of immediate conversation so he's in a constant state of catch-up. He put himself on the line for their lives and is slowly destroying himself, his anxiety for their wellbeing is crushing him and there's simply little reciprocation. It feels like watching him sink into a lake attached to three boulders and he won't cut the line because the tether is love. He's never had anyone so he doesn't understand that loving a person doesn't mean they can't be poison. He's simultaneously staring at their backs as they go and tossing himself in front of them as a shield.

He's forced to go into the crypt, which you know he hates, and affect the wheel, an object he was clearly frightened of, in order to get a crucial ingredient for the cure, without which several of his classmates and friends will die. There's no other option, the teachers are useless, he's abandoned by his only companion at the start, and they have neither the time or the knowledge to figure something else out. He commits to the act, at extreme detriment to himself, and the first thing you're concerned with is criticising that the dragons had to wake? Oh they suffered? Why, he must have never considered such a thing! That definitely wasn't already adding to his emotional agony! It's not like he was the one standing in the crypt when it happened! No, he's just an oblivious oaf, using his eeeevil magic without thought however he desires. You, moral and pure, would NEVER do such a thing, because you would clearly be handed a clean and kind solution where all is happy and good.

Like why the hell did the most reassuring person seem to be MEGII??? She's awesome and incredible, but they're hardly close! And they only talked alone for like two seconds! Her roots are scared of him! WHY did her concern feel so much more genuine?

It just feels like watching a self fulfilling prophecy that they swore to deny! 'You're not your books' yet your concern flees you when he has to use his magic. His actions staved off their deaths, AT HIS OWN EXPENSE, yet he sits and takes vilification for being incapable of making it perfect. He vilifies himself and they just stare at him instead of denying it! His suffering is second rung to their anxiety about his magic and he's becoming a scapegoat without them even realising it. How is he supposed to overcome the precarious danger of the Iron Soul when the rug keeps getting pulled out from under him? There's no safety net, no solid supporter, just people who uhm and ahh and let him take far too much blame.

I adore CelestialMetals but I'm reaching the point of killing them with my mind. This collection of personalities is NAWT what tf!Legs needs.

Short description:

An animatic to Running On A Treadmill by Oingo Boingo. The animatic shows Jay from Ninjago experiencing manipulation from the Administration, particularly Donovan, as omens such as a sickly wolf and a silhouette of his past self loom between scenes.

Long description:

An animatic to Running On A Treadmill by Oingo Boingo. The first shot, to the lyrics "you've got me so I'm running round and round in circles" shows Jay from Ninjago in a button-up shirt being pulled by the arm, before cutting to a faceless wolf turning in a circle.

The next line "you've got me so I can't see my own face" shows a man in a suit with eyes obscured by glare across his glasses, until he ducks down and holds out a piece of paper. The paper is revealed to be a photograph of him and Jay, however he is holding it so that his thumb is covering Jay's face.

The next shot with is to the lyrics "you've got me so I feel I've been like this forever". Jay is shown with his arms cross as three images fall into place behind him: himself in a tattered blouse, himself in a ninja gi, with his back turned, and a non-descript briefcase.

"You've got me so I'm crazy with disgrace" shows Jay turning around before the camera pans to the wolf now lying still on the ground.

During the instrumental, a security camera is shown panning. Then, a faceless Jay with a device held up toward him, which flashes with identification before spinning into a chair with a helmet-like machine above it. Lastly, a document is shown being signed.

To the lyrics "I know what's on your mind, but it's not what you think it is", Jay is first shown with a thought bubble portraying a human girl. A speech bubble bursts the thought, showing an anthropomorphic eel instead, before sliding to show that the speech belongs to Donovan. The scene then repeats, with a thought of Cole being replaced by Donovan himself.

Finally, to "I'm running on a treadmill after you, I'm running on a treadmill now", Jay is shown standing next to five star-like sparks. When he reaches out to them, the raise above him, and a sixth appears behind his back. As the lyrics repeat, the spark behind Jay turns into a silhouette of his past self, and the two circle around each other, before Jay is thrown into an office chair, alone.
