HOW DO YOU MEMORIZE VOCABULARY !
Hello I would like to start a chain where people describe their own methods for committing vocab words into long-term memory. I know that I have a huge problem with this, I’ll create a vocabulary list and master it, then see one word from this list a week later and have no idea what it means. I’m sure that I’m not the only one!
Reblog this and add your method vvv

Ok honestly I don't remember what I was going to say about this or why I took a screenshot but it is funny, so there's that at least
Learning vocab through songs is my favourite method.
at least 10% of my trust issues can be contributed to the way you write an ‘o’ in Russian, but then pronounce it like ‘a’
the way my russian would be so much better at this point if i had queer russian movies or series to watch lmao. if anyone knows anything. please share your wisdom with me 🙏 i don't care if it's text or subtext
Soviet Series Club(tm): Countess de Monsoreau
The Soviet Series Club™ resumes working and immediately plunges into a non-soviet and biggest commitment to date of the Club’s™ history. Countess de Monsoreau, 1998, 26 episodes that will take 3 months to complete.
A massive project subtitled by @grafinyademonsoro that since then gained Spanish and French subtitles on top of it all, the series looks like one of these rare exceptions in the grim Russian 90s that was actually good. Based on the novel of the same name by Dumas, it will take us across the intrigues of the French court, love, betrayals, and other spicy shenanigans.
This series also collects a myriad of actors both of old school and emerging modern Russian cinema. We will see familiar faces such as Yekaterina Vasilyeva (Shirley Holmes), Alexey Gorbunov (nrh Moriarty), Boris Klyuev (soviet Mycroft), as well as old school soviet actors like Yuri Yakovlev and Lev Durov, and then mix them with the new generation such as Alexander Domogarov, Gosha Kutsenko and even Nonna Grishaeva.
If you want to commit to 3 months of French intrigues, no better way to start than on tutturu on Friday, 8th of January at 8pm UK time.
Episodes 9-10 will be the usual Friday 5th of February at the usual time.
for everyone to think that native speaker you are in russian just words put in sentences in any place absolutely
Which russian gamers do you watch? Rec pls! ❤
I’m pretty inconsistent when it comes to sticking to the same person, but the Youtuber I’m watching most now is Александр Рок. He’s pretty calm, and I like his voice. He hasn’t updated in a while, but he has a lot of content to go through.
I’ve just watched Bes Poleznyi’s Thief Playthrough, but I quite liked it. I haven’t really watched his up to date videos. He has a bunch of content on one channel, and he remains active on this channel.
I watch Kuplinov ► Play and TheGideonGames from time to time, although they’re not really my style but they cover a wide range of games.
There’s a better masterpost of a variety of Russian Youtubers [here] and they recommend the following Youtubers:
FROST : While his channel is mostly about gaming (with a variety of genres), he also does vlogs, all with humor. Русский Мясник : Gaming channel that focuses on first person shooters. LeTSPLaySHiK: This channel focuses on Minecraft. SuperEvgexa: Also has a focus on Minecraft. LetsPlayPoRusski : This channel focuses on a game series in a let’s play. Zulin`s v-log: This channel is more like the American let’s plays as it is more serious in the gameplay. perpetuumworld : The genres vary but they tend to be less FPS and more fun games. Прохождения от Глеба ^__^ : This channel focuses on more popular games and has longer let’s plays. Ярик Лапа : He has a focus on Minecraft. RusGameTactics: Tends to focus on a series of a let’s play. Kuplinov ► Play : He plays a variety of games and often has a 16+ warning. JesusAVGN: He plays horror games and is funny.
(Also small disclaimer that I don’t really understand much of what is being said in these videos, so apologies if a Youtuber you watch from the above list says anything offensive)
I also recommend just going on Twitch.TV and sorting through Russian language streamers. You can sort for Russian streamers of a particular game, or just do a search of anyone streaming in Russian.

theres no jury in russia tf
Soviet Movie Club™ kinda still refuses to crawl out of the twilight new year zone mood, with the next film may or may not serving as a counterpoint to that. 12 is back, almost exactly two years later.
One of the two films by The Very Nikita Mikhalkov that are not only my favorites from his works, but also my personal all-time favorites, 12 is a remake of the legendary 12 Angry Men that came out exactly 50 years later, a hello from 2007 to the distant 1957. Gaining a whole extra hour compared to the original film and now standing at hefty 2.5 hours, 12 is an incredible and strong work that, in my opinion at least, surpasses the original by a long shot. Surely made to talk about Russia-specific issues perhaps, surely dated by 2007 in that particular aspect, surely not without faults. But, in my opinion again, it’s a deeply engaging film that was done masterfully, from a brilliant use of the one-room setting to its main selling point, the acting.
And as for the actors, not only is Mikhalkov himself is back with his bestie Adabashyan (aka soviet sir Henry and Barrymore return), the film features Valentin Gaft, Alexey Gorbunov aka nrh Moriarty, Viktor Verzhbitsky aka Zavulon himself, Alexey Petrenko (no affiliation), and legends perhaps unfamiliar to you but to us such as Sergey Makovetsky, Garmash, Stoyanov and even Yefr*mov junior. I may not have any respect for Mikhalkov as everyone else, but my deep admiration of 12 is unbending.
If you want to talk Russia, join us on tutturu this Saturday, 9th January at 8pm UK time.
12 IS A GO!
