Hello, Galaxy
Now that I appear to have followers (how did that happen?), a summary post seems appropriate.
- About me: Catholic, scientist (yes, that’s not just a possible combination but quite a common one), female (she/her if you prefer), 29, based in England.
- About the blog: I started this to try to publicise my fanfics a bit more widely. Inspired by others on this site, I eventually branched out into trying my inept hand at art and the odd gifset.
- About my work: I write fanfiction, primarily for Star Wars (all the films, live action TV shows and animations from 2008 onwards, apart from Visions, and a fair amount picked up from Wookieepedia and some fan-compiled online dictionaries) and Transformers (Animated and Prime; I'm planning to include Rescue Bots as well). My main Star Wars series, Lightning Strikes, follows a less-than-conventional Jedi throughout the timeline of the Skywalker Saga, along with the men assigned to her in the Clone Wars; for Transformers, I'm tracking a young, neurodivergent field-tech from Animated Cybertron, assigned to Earth and later transported to the Prime universe by space-bridge nonsense, through the series Not Bugs, Features. I also have another Star Wars series, currently on hold, A Medic’s Guide to the Galaxy, about a nurse in the Resistance, and have written fics for The Witcher and Leigh Bardugo’s Grishaverse novels. Other fandoms - to date, Dune, the Grishaverse and Doctor Who - have strayed in in the form of crossovers, and I scatter references to everything from Hitchhiker’s to the Bible in quite liberally, sometimes without realising it.
I usually publish my stories on AO3 and then share them here, but some have been posted direct to Tumblr (masterlist here).
Art happens occasionally, when I have ideas, time and references. I have about the same natural talent as a GNK droid, but practice is helping - I think. Gifsets have been known to appear, and even the odd video edit - though I have even less practice there.
Asks are always open, and welcome, as is any other form of feedback. (If I take a while to reply, it’s because I’m busy at work and/or struggling to find the right words. Probably the latter.)
Live long and prosper, may the Force be with you, and God bless us all.
