Okay new Doomsday/Secret Wars Loki theory cookingâ
Possible spoilers mentioned, I will be referring to the âleaksâ (only because it seems certain things Marvel have revealed are corroborating these leaks, doesnât mean theyâre true but Iâve based my theory off the slim possibility they are). Please take what Iâm theorising based off a âleakâ by a random person online with a pinch of salt.
So, according to one of the leaks (the one that seems to have some parts possibly âcorroboratedâ at present â todayâs reveal of the TVA set at D23, seemingly pointing to the TVA having been attacked), âDoomsdayâ ends with Doom having resurrected everyone and creating Battleworld, where everyone will live in the false reality with no memory of what life was like before this fact. If this is indeed what occurs, I believe it is very possible that in âSecret Warsâ one person will remember what the universe was like before Doom changed itâŠ
Loki.
Why do I think this is possible?
Well, in season two of âLokiâ, he is given the ability of âtime slippingâ by He Who Remains. Over the series, Loki learns to control this ability, even going so far as being able to pause time. But with every time that he time slipped, Loki was able to remember it when seemingly no one else (except He Who Remains) could. Loki also literally has held the multiverse in his hands, using his magic to keep the branches alive and likely wouldâve had some lingering effect from this.
So, what does this mean for the film?
Well, I think this is perhaps where Loki will become a more major role. I donât think we will see much of him in âDoomsdayâ, and when we do, sadly it wonât be for long or pleasant, I imagine. But in âSecret Warsâ, Loki has the chance here to become âAvenger Primeâ. He may not have the exact same abilities as he did before Doom altered everything (and possibly took Lokiâs powers), but what he does have is his memory and knowledge.
Could it possibly be Loki finally brings the Avengers together for a second time, except this time heâs on the right side? Loki works secretly, doing what he does best. In season two, Loki even had to round up his TVA friendâs variants, having to get them to trust him and help him⊠Possible foreshadowing? (Iâm not saying this was planned at the time of the show being written, but thereâs a possibility of a callback being made). Thereâs also the chance enchantment is used to unlock the teams memories, especially if Sylvie is indeed involved in the film â she unlocked the memories for some of the TVA agents, it would be a good way to utilise that!
So yeah⊠I think (if any part of the leak is true and Iâm not saying it is lol) this would make sense and actually work pretty well. Obviously, at this point, Iâve just written a fanfiction plot lmaoâ

Not a single tear is left in you. Youâve been wrung and now you lie, empty and aching in the bed. Your breath has evened out by now and the salty stains itch on your skin. As if moved by a foreign force, you find yourself heading to the bathroom to freshen up because â while you do avoid looking in the mirror â you realize you must be a mess.
The problem is after. Now what?
You want to help in some way but you know that this is way out of your league. They brought you here to be safe â so that they could do what must be done without you becoming a liability.
As you look hazily around the suite, you hand flexes at your side, recalling the heft of the knife you held as if you would have known how to use it. What good would that have done in a gun fight anyways...no...you need to learn to play this game. Itâs a notion youâve entertained before but you havenât had the chance to act on it and now itâs too late, it seems.
A face flashes for your inner eye: a dark, knowing gaze that had held a promise of safety despite all odds. The concierge. Perhaps â and this is a long shot â perhaps he could be of assistance even if you donât have any of those coins.
Smoothing yourself over, you grab the key and hurry out the suite, not bothering to put on shoes but preferring to move silently instead. The elevator is in use so you take the stairs, each step growing more and more confident. Hopeful.
Then suddenly, youâre in the lobby and the granite is cold under your feet, shocking you back to reality as you see the shapes of a few people loitering in the space. Not faces you recognize and they donât seem to spare you much attention.
Once more full of nerves, you step up to the reception desk, earning the polite attention of the man there.
âWhat can I do for you, miss?â he enunciates calmly and you feel the soothing balm of his confidence willing you to straighten up.
âCould I...â you stop yourself, hearing how fearful you sound despite the theatrics. âWhat if they donât come back?â
He hesitates, though no part of his face hints at dislike or pity. âCome this way, miss.â
Placing a small placard on the smooth surface of the counter, he ushers you around the corner and into the office behind the reception.
Itâs a spacious room with a typewriter on a grand desk and several filing cabinets. Thereâs also a pair of ottomans and it is to one of these he guides you.
âTea?â
His question confuses you. âUh...yes, please.â
It takes a moment or two, but eventually, a thin porcelain cup is filled with aromatic tea, sugar and milk at your disposal, and the concierge joins you. You mimic the way he stirs the sugar into the tea, the soft clink of the little spoons finding a comfortable rhythm for a little while.
âYou asked me a question and I am afraid I have no kind answer,â the man begins. He takes a sip of his tea before continuing: âIn the unlikely, but not impossible, event that none of your partners should return, the room has been covered for the duration of a week during which time I would recommend you made arrangements for the future. Most likely, you would suffer no imminent threat anymore and could be free to leave.â
A rattling is filling the room and it takes a moment before you realize that itâs your hands shaking so much the cup is dancing on the saucer. Forcing your hands to calm, you put down the tea and fold your hands in your lap.
âNo threat?â You echo his words.
A soft nod. âWith Laufeyson and Rogers out of the picture, youâd be â and do pardon the expression â worthless.â As you donât say anything, he carries on. âIf you were to do something reckless now, such as leave the hotel, you would most likely be apprehended by one of the competing Enclaves and use as a bargaining chip.â
This time you nod. Youâd guessed as much. âWould anyone tell me if...?â
âHere at the hotel, we have our means of gathering information. Naturally, I would be obliged to inform you of the nightâs conclusion.â
You canât get yourself to ask if the kind men you love are out there killing everyone in the other Enclaves, but the concierge must have gathered thatâs what youâre thinking about because he explains calmly, as if talking about the weather, how Loki and Steve likely are going for the top of each Enclave. Targets that are highly protected not to mention have their own set of skills, making them formidable matches.
âI canât...I...how...?â you mumble as he finishes.
You legs are trembling too, now. Full of a useless adrenaline that you canât work out of your body.
âI would recommend you return to your room. A nightâs rest would likely do you well and will shorten the time in which you have to wait. Come morning, youâll see everything will have found a new balance.â
Staring at him dumbfounded, you donât know how to make it more obvious that youâll never be able to find rest until your men are back safe. And then the idea of being alone is too harrowing. No, you donât want to go back up to your room and you are just about to say as much when the soft peal of a bell can be heard from the reception.
âPardon me.â
Straightening his vest, the concierge leaves the small office, leaving the door ajar. Maybe itâs on purpose, maybe itâs a coincidence. Either way, it allows you to pick up on the voices of the people he greet and you go stock still with fear.
You recognize them from earlier that night: one male and one female, the latter with a heavy accent.
âAs per our long, trusted policies, we do not disclose any names of guests or visitors,â you can hear the answer faintly.
There seems to be some sort of discussion, but you canât pick up anything else from where youâre sitting. Youâve half decided to try to sneak closer when a door at the other end of the office opens â you hadnât even noticed it there â and a rotund lady fabulous â50ies outfit bustles through with a note in her hand. Spotting you, she winks at you before joining the concierge out of sight.
A moment passes. The male voice growls something and his accomplice shouts something in Russian.
Then silence.
Thereâs a faint breeze of night air before that too fades, preceding the winking woman and the concierge as they come back to the office.
âThank you, Linda,â the dark man smiles softly.
He sits down once more, taking a sip of his tea and apparently finding it an adequate temperature because he drinks some more.
âThey were looking for me,â you guess.
âThey were. But you are safe here.â
âThank you.â
He smiles, putting down the cup. âBesides...they have more urgent matters to tend to.â
âRomanova?â
An eyebrow arches. âPresumably still alive...the same cannot be said for Odinson and Stark.â
You donât know whether to laugh or to cry. All blood drains from your head, making you slump back in your seat at the knowledge of what Steve and Loki have done. You knew that was their plan. You had assumed they were capable. Hearing the proof, however, is quite different.
âCome, miss, I think it is time we get you back up,â the concierge decides as he stands up himself and offers you an arm.
Summary: All you wanted was to reach your room in time before a blackout would hit the elevators in the Avengers tower - but unfortunately you're not the only one with this mission...

A quick workout - that was all you had intended to do on this evening, followed by binge-watching this new series together with the girls.
Unfortunately, had fate a twisted sense of humor. Namely, getting you in precarious situations...
Blindly, you reached for the next best piece of clothing you could find - not caring in that moment if it was yours or one of the others. All you cared about was getting up to your floor ASAP. Once you were dressed in nothing but a green t-shirt, grey shorts and fluffy socks, you threw the other shit in your gym bag, switched on your phone flashlight and raced for the door and elevator. Still working, you realised in sheer relief and pressed the button. It took a long second before the elevator arrived and the steel doors slid open. Not even caring to give the insides a proper look, you stepped into the elevator and pressed the button of your floor. As the steel doors slid shut again and the engines rumbled to life, you sighed in relief. But then...
You had just finished showering in the gym's small locker room in the Avengers tower as the power went suddenly off, followed by a blaring alarm noise which caused you to almost jump out of your skin.
"Power off. Restarting program started," announced Jarvis. "Oh no, for real now?!" You exclaimed and hopped out of the stall; already wrapped in your fluffy towel.
Quickly drying yourself off, you knew that this was a race against the time now. Due to Tony's installed security system, every time when there was a blackout, Jarvis restarted the whole system - which was according to Tony important. The problem about it? The process shut down several devices inside the compound such as TV's, light, Thor's beloved toaster... and most times even the elevators. That's why you really had to hurry up. Unless you'd have to most likely spend the night at the gym - and you rather preferred your bed, honestly.
"Making a run for your floor as well, huh?"
The sudden voice coming from behind you managed to startle you once again. Whipping around, you found none other than Loki leaning casually against the elevator wall; hands stuffed in the pockets of his sweatpants and a small smirk on his lips.
Ugh.
You swallowed. Why did it had to be Loki? You asked yourself. Since the God was deemed to be redeemed on earth and to pay the price of his actions, you harboured a crush on Thor's little brother. How could you not? The black-haired trickster was beyond handsome.
"Well... Yes, obviously," you said; adding a small, nervous laugh. "Just like you, I reckon." "Positive, darling."
"I-I, uh, I-" You stammered while the God just kept smiling mischievously at you. You took a deep breath and squeezed your eyes shut for a moment; getting yourself together again. "S-Sorry, I didn't mean to. I-I was at the gym and showered when the blackout suddenly happened. I just... reached for the first thing I could find and-" You cut off your own sentence once more. This time because the elevator suddenly stuttered; light flickering above you.
His oceanic blue eyes roamed your figure, before another smile tugged at the corners of his lips. "May I ask why are you wearing my t-shirt?"
You blinked at his words. His t-shirt? "Your t-shirt? I don't-" Then you noticed it. The too big fabric hugging your upper body. The colour. Emerald green. The faint smell of his signature cologne. His smell. Fuck. You were wearing his t-shirt...
Oh.Uh.
The sudden movement 'caused you to lose your balance and of course stumble right into Loki - who caught you easily with his strong arms. "Careful, little Midgardian," he said while still steadying you as the elevator came entirely to an halt; sealing your fate.
You were stuck.
In an elevator.
With Loki.
Your crush.
Wearing his t-shirt.
Fuck.
Yeah, great... The emergency light..., you thought. That wasn't helping you in this situation. You were still stuck in a very tight space with the man you had the hots for. Great.
You took a few steps back again - even though a part inside you wanted nothing more to stay in his embrace.
"Well... Looks like we are going to spent the next few hours together in here," Loki stated and casually pressed the emergency button; signalling Tony that someone was stuck. Not the first time. "At least the emergency light is still on."
"How, uh, long do you think this is going to take?" "I am afraid I do not have an answer to that question, darling. These..." Loki gestured around. "... Midgardian steel boxes are not my expertise. It appears to me that all we can do is wait until either Jarvis gets the systems running once again or for Mr. Know-it-all to get us out of here." You nodded; taking a deep, shaky breath.
The problem? Lying to Loki? The trickster God? Bad idea.
Tight spaces usually weren't a problem for you - but with Loki it was as you discovered.
"Are you alright, little Midgardian? Claustrophobia?" You shook your head; trying to keep your cool around him - as you usually tried to. "No, I'm okay." The God raised an confused eyebrow. "No? What is it then, darling? Forgive me for my boldness but you do not quite seem to be alright." "Nothing. I am alright," you stated; not just lying to Loki but also to yourself.
Deep oceanic blues flickered over your entire frame; noticing the way your body language seemed to be all shy and flustered around him - and Loki being Loki, he could look right through you.
"Understandable, darling..." He spoke in a raspy voice; so close now that you could feel his breath on your skin; inhale his cologne with every breath you took and feel the warmth radiating off his skin - and it was intoxicating. You felt like you were drowning in Loki. His smell. His presence. His eyes.
A mischievous, boyish smile tugged at the corner of his lip.
"Oh, I see." You blinked. "S-See... what?" "It is because of me, isn't it?" He asked; voice deeper than before - and it sent a shiver down your spine. "Is my presence intimidating you?" The God continued; and took slow, almost dangerous steps closer - causing you to instinctively back up. Not very far, though. Tight space. You hit the steel wall of the elevator within two steps. Shit.
"Face to face with the God of Mischief, Prince of Asgard and rightful heir to the throne of Jotunheim." Loki placed both his hands strategically above your head against the steel wall. "It is quite a lot," he whispered with a wink. 'Smug idiot' - that was what you wanted to say, but instead all you did was exhale a shaky breath which unfortunately sounded distinctively like a moan.
Oops.
The little sound you made caused another mischievous smirk to dart across the God's face. "Ohhh," he breathed - and it was probably the hottest thing you had ever heard. So hot and intimidating that your knees almost buckled and gave in underneath you. "You like it, do you, darling?"
Who were you to lie to him? It was obvious to Loki anyway. He could look right through you.
You nodded; another shaky breath paving its way past your lips. "Well..." Loki started; eyes flickering from your eyes to your mouth and back. "That makes two of us, little Midgardian."
Oh my gosh. You could've sworn you were close to combusting.
That was it. The moment you gave in. To this situation. To him. The adrenaline sent a rush of courage through your body - otherwise you had probably never dared to do what you did next. You stood on your tiptoes and just... kissed him. Hot, heavy, open-mouthed. Nothing innocent about the kiss you shared - and the God happily reciprocated. Teeth clacking, lips colliding.
With laboured breathing, the God pulled back to lick his lips and smirk at you. Skilled, elegant hands now tugged gently at the hem of your - his - t-shirt. "I should take back what belongs to me," he spoke in a raspy voice.
"Y-You should," you answered without thinking. Loki smirked once more. But just as his delicate fingers wanted to work his piece of clothing off your body, the steel doors of the elevator suddenly opened. A little slow and wistful, but nevertheless. Within seconds, Loki's hands were miles away from you and the bubble of tension bursted.
Tony stood in the doorway in full Iron Man armour - except the helmet. Funnily enough, it appeared that you had stopped right at a floor. The man's eyes wandered from you to Loki. "Did I... interrupt something?" Unlike you, the God had quickly regained composure again and was once more casually leaning against the wall. "Nothing but conversation," he started and elegantly pushed himself off the wall. "You should've waited longer to rescue us in order to interrupt something." He winked at you. "I hope we get to finish what we started, darling," Loki whispered into your ear then and just strutted past you and Tony to leave the elevator.
Tony blinked in confusion and shook his head, while you were still shaken up. "You okay, Y/N/N? Quite creepy to get trapped in an elevator with Reindeer Games if you ask me..." You nodded and straightened Loki's t-shirt; trying to get yourself together again. "Mhm... Creepy..." You said rather absentmindedly; staring after the God with his words still echoing in your mind.
Alright, I donât feel like I have the energy right now to be directly confrontational about this, but I have to rant about it somewhere or my head is going to literally explode. For those who donât want to go directly to the post, a summary:
âFirstly, itâs important to remember that Loki is the Trickster God. Heâs a liar and a manipulator, and deception and intrigue is essentially his superpower. That means every word he says is suspect, and his every act has to be questioned. Thereâs no doubt that his heartbreak in that crucial scene is real; it fits perfectly with Lokiâs entire character arc, including in scenes that neither Thor nor Odin witnessed. But that doesnât mean his suicide attempt was genuine. Itâs entirely possible Loki allowed himself to plummet into Yggdrasil because he knew that he would survive by using the very portals heâd previously used to travel to other realms - in Thor and in various other movies.
According to both Thor and Thor: The Dark World, the Bifrost is not the only way to travel between the Realms. Loki is aware of secret portals that bind the Nine Realms together; he was able to get Frost Giants from Jotunheim to Asgard without any trouble, and traveled directly to Earth without needing to use the Bifrost. In the second film, Loki even shows one of these mysterious portals to Thor to help him escape Asgard. Itâs possible that Loki survived plunging into Yggdrasil because he sensed the location of a portal, and guided his fall into it. Note that even Odin wouldnât suspect this, simply because he doesnât seem to know about these portals. The Nine Realms plunged into chaos after the destruction of the Bifrost, with Asgard unable to protect them, and Odin watching in anguish because he couldnât do anything about it. Odin was only able to send Thor to Earth in The Avengers by tapping into dark energy, at great personal cost; Asgard needed to rebuild the Bifrost before it could send its armies out to defend the Nine Realms and hold back the encroaching darkness.â - Screen Rant article, âHow Loki Really Survived The End Of Thorâ
Iâm sorry, but the amount of bias required to actually believe Loki fell into the wormhole with the intention of surviving and evading punishment on Asgard is ridiculous. The article itself assumes this based almost entirely on his reputation for being untrustworthy and self-interested, which is not even a reputation the Loki of the MCU has earned prior to the events of this movie. I will once again point out that until his breakdown in Thor (2011), Loki was a reliable, loyal, loving member of the royal family.
âAs Odinâs younger son, Loki has always known the throne of Asgard will never belong to him. He has, however, tried his best to be a good brother to Thor and a son Odin could be proud of. When Thor travels to Jötunheim, it is Loki who sends a message to their father to prevent an all-out war. Still, he cannot stop Odin from banishing Thor. When the king falls into the Odinsleep soon after, Loki takes the throne.â
Am I saying he never lies or deceives or manipulates anyone? Of course not. His entire family manipulates people as easily as they breathe. Loki is no exception. But the idea that every single move he makes should be viewed with suspicion and distrust purely because heâs Loki is based on a fundamental misunderstanding of who MCU Loki is as well as a nice heaping dose of double standards. It takes an incredible leap of logic to come to the conclusion that itâs more likely that he intentionally fell into a wormhole that just happened to be positioned in the place where he just happened to be knocked from the Rainbow Bridge, somehow just knowing he would not be killed, than to believe that an emotionally broken young man who is visibly at the end of his rope decided that death was the only way to escape his seemingly endless suffering.
Iâm really not surprised to see such convoluted nonsense from the likes of Screen Rant, but it is never, never, never going to stop baffling and angering me that there are actual fans who genuinely believe letting go of the Gungnir was not a suicide attempt. Baffling because itâs the exact opposite of Occamâs razor and angering because, especially as a person who struggles with suicidal ideation myself, I am damn tired of seeing Lokiâs get ignored and brushed under the carpet as if it either isnât real or doesnât matter.

âMother, these feelings are so foreign, I canât stand them, but at the same time I do,â Loki had come storming into his mothers study with so many things to say. His mind is in turmoil. How was it that heâs only known this omega just short of two months and heâs feeling things heâs never felt. Loki feels a deep connection, further than his brain can comprehend. Heâs never felt any level of caring for anyone other than his mother. Loki wishes he could understand these feelings, they are all so new, heâs never had these feelings for any other omega, even the omegas heâs bedded in the past. So, why is this one so different?
A soft hand places itself on Lokiâs face, âDarling child, breathe, you're only making yourself panic more.â Frigga drops her hand to Lokiâs, âFollow your heart, whether you think you have one or not. You do, so follow it.â Frigga squeezes his hand. âAnything else on your mind?â
Loki pulls away from his mother to sit on a nearby couch, he sighs loudly, âI rode to my garden, I wanted to seek her out.â His head falls back against the couch with his eyes shut, âThere were guards there, they had their hands on her, hurting her. I felt the need to protect her, I couldn't control myself.âÂ
Loki told his mother everything from his night with the fragile omega from the shoes to the way the omega denied the horseback ride to the garden.
âMother, I don't think she has a home. The omega was in my personal garden late at night, she usually is,â Loki sits up to look at his mother. âShe referred to her home as a place⊠she seemed cautious of even mentioning âher placeâ.â
âThen why donât you find out,â Frigga sits closer to Loki. âTry to bring it up in a conversation or⊠you could always read her mind.â
Lokiâs eyes go wide, âI will not do such a thing as read her mind, Iâll just ask.â
âThen ask, child,â Frigga takes a mental note of Lokiâs choice to not read the omega's mind. He would have done the act without second thought at any moment he chose, but he wonât. She knows Loki respects this omega more than heâd like to admit.

Itâs been a little over a week since the alpha and the omega have seen each other. Loki has been busy with his duties as the king and hasn't had time to check up on his omega. Today he finally has the time.
Loki decided to take the foot path to his garden, wanting to enjoy the forest with time, which Loki barely ever had. Loki pushes the heavy garden gates open, the gates squeaking as they open.Â
Loki knew you were here, he could smell your addictive scent, this time your scent is mixed with water lilies. Loki follows your scent, the scent leading him to a small pond in the corner of his garden. You were nowhere to be seen.Â
Until you surfaced from the pond's water. Naked.
âBy the gods!â Loki turns his back immediately, giving the omega privacy. His face flaming with heat as if heâd eaten every hot pepper on Asgard. âOmega, what are you doing!?â His sentence came out in a ragged breath, his eyes shut tightly, not trusting himself to open them.
âJust bathing, that is all,â A splash of water hits Lokiâs legs. âThe water is always so warm.â You splash Loki once more, forcing him to turn. Thankfully you have your chest pressed against the rocks in the water.
âOmega where are your clothes?â His mind is so full of questions and a deep need. He wanted to ask if youâve bathed in his pond before, he decided against asking. He knew the answer deep down, but Loki knew if you confirmed it⊠heâd want to invest his time in catching you naked, again.
You lie your forearms against the rocks, âWell you take your clothes off to bathe.â Your head comes down to lie on your arms, you open your mouth then close it like a fish gasping for the waters. âWell I was on my way here when I tripped⊠I didn't exactly intend to bathe in your pond but when I tripped on a fallen tree, I ripped my dress and may have gotten very dirty when I fell. But the shoes are ok!â Your eyes beamed brightly at Loki.
Loki couldnât hold his smile back at the last part, âAh yes at least the shoes are alright, but are you?â He bends at the waist so he's face to face with you, arms behind his back, a way to keep his hands from scouring yours for more cuts and bruises.Â
You push up from the rocks, your breast on full display, water dripping down from your hairline, down your shoulders and between your delicate soft breasts. âYes I am alright, but I do not have any clothes now.â
Loki watches the omegas every movement, especially the way the omegas nipples harden as the chilled air hits them.Â
It takes more than a moment for Loki to speak, âRight then I can bring you some.â Loki has not a pinch on an idea why this omega is so calm being naked around him, many omegas hide away when naked.
You pull yourself all the way up out of the water, in all your glory, very naked. Loki chokes on the very air he breathes. Your body drips with water, more water follows the one before, down your shoulders, between the valley of your breast, then further down⊠The water drowns in the tuft of hair between your legs.Â
Loki is ready to pounce on you like a lion until he sees you shivering, he canât bear to speak, the only sound that would come out would be a deep groan. He takes his cape off handing it to you.
Your scent becomes sweeter as he hands you his cape.
Alphaâs scent. Mine. You omega side calls, but you have to ignore.
Loki feels more than possessive as you take the cape. His omega wrapped in his scent, his omega smells like him.

Loki comes back almost an hour later, sage green dress robes for the omega in his hands.
His ears perk up when he hears you coming forward, you stand in front of him, his cape wrapped around your shoulders, âI almost thought you wouldnât come back.â You bounce on the heels of your feet to see what he has brought you.
âDonât worry darling omega, I didnât plan on leaving you here bare,â Loki holds the dress by the sleeves. The gown unfolds gracefully, âI hope it fits, you are quite⊠small for an omega so, please bear with my choice.â
âI love it, itâs⊠I love it! Thank you,â you drop Lokiâs cape, the material sliding off your scarred shoulders, and onto the ground. You take the dress from Lokiâs hands. He watches intensely as you slide the sage dress up your naked legs, your mound of hair between your legs, over your breast, and up and over your shoulders. He misses your naked body already.
You notice the dress sagging a fraction where your breast lies, âItâs a little loose.â You frown at Loki.
âThat is because I have to tie the corset in the back, turn omega,â you turn, as he says. Strong hands pull the corset tighter, Lokiâs hands itching to pull the dress down and fu- no he canât.
He ties the corset close, and turns you by your waist, âYou look like the angel you are.â Finally you look down at yourself, soft white lace holds your breast in place, sage corset hugs your waist, lifting your breast, making them more punctuated. The skirt of the dress is an emerald green with gold accents, a slip in the skirt matching the white lace, the dress comes to a stop at the middle of your calves.
A high-pitched excited squeal comes from you, âOh thank you alpha! I love it so. Iâve never had anything this nice!â
Lokiâs heart sinks hearing the last part, why havenât you had anything this nice? Why? âI have one more thing for you, omega.â Loki conjures a matching pair of slippers.
You swear you were about to pass out, âHurry! Put them on me!â And so Loki did.
Loki looks at you like he lost his favorite dagger, âWhat wrong..?â
He sighs deeply wondering if he should ask. He knows he should follow his heart so he does, âWhy were you bathing in my pond? Really..? Do you have a home where you can do such an act, omega?â
You step back from Loki, like his question stung, you do not know what to say. There aren't enough words or actions to tell him. You take another step back, getting ready to run.
Loki watches your every move, he watches you make the decision to run. He wonât let you. Loki surges forward before you can run, his large hands wrap around your biceps. Not enough to hurt, but enough to keep you still, âOmega. Tell me.âÂ
His eyes pierce through you, âWhy does it matter? Iâm fine.â Yanking back seems like a good way to get out of his grip, you fail terribly. Loki holds you, his gaze holds you in place. Your head drops, not wanting to face him.
âIt matters, it matters to me,â Loki emotions flair to protect, to care, to love. He needs to know youâre ok. âYouâre not fine. You were-Â you are still very malnourished. You are beaten and battered with many scars.â His breathing comes in short, ragged breaths. Worried ones. âYou have no home. You have no bed to sleep on do you? You have no bath to bathe in?â
A sob flies from your mouth before you have any say in keeping it contained, your body goes flying towards Lokiâs. You crumble on top of him like a heap of rocks, âNo, No I donât!â
Loki has no other choice, his body weight crumbles to the grassy ground, your body cradled into his. Your arms lace around his waist like a snake constricting its prey.Â
Hands press your head into Lokiâs chest, âYouâre coming back to the palace with me. Youâll be safer there. Youâll get three meals a day. Iâll teach you everything you need to know.â

I thought that Loki would be impressed by Mobius' rage, or that he would be amused. Or that he would immediately start torturing Brad as soon as Mobius got out of the cell.
But no: Loki was stunned by Mobius' reaction.
So, at first, he took steps to stop Mobius before he went too far and escorted him away safely.
Then he followed Mobius to make sure he was okay, asking him over and over without using aggressive tones, despite Mobius trying to downplay it.
Loki saw that Mobius was trying to hide how shaken he was, so he suggested to eat a slice of pie to reassure him down.
Without pressure, he calmed him down until Mobius was ready to open.
And then he reassured him gently.
This shows how much Loki has changed: instead of being overwhelmed by anger and the desire for revenge, he put the well-being of Mobius, a person dear to him, first, without hiding the concern and affection he feels for him. And Mobius, in return, demonstrated that he placed full trust in Loki, expressing his innermost emotions to him.
Looking In A Mirror: Thanos & Odin (and Their Conditional Love)
Loki and Gamora (and Nebula, even Thor) know the weight of a fatherâs disappointment, the consequences and the strain it puts on their relationship. Loki and Gamora are opposites in the fact that Gamora was Thanosâ favourite when it comes to hers and Nebulaâs sibling dynamic, whereas Loki was made to feel like he was a âshadow living in the shade of Thorâs greatnessâ, only ever wanting to be his equal â same as Nebula. However, what is interesting is how the core mechanics of their relationship to their adoptive fatherâs are eerily, tragically, similar.
Whilst Odin and Thanos took Loki and Gamora from their home worlds for differing reasons (Odin taking Loki for political purposes, and Thanos taking Gamora because he saw something in her), they both believe they are owed something from their adopted children because of that fact. Both Odin and Thanos share the notion that they âsavedâ their adopted children from being killed. It is canon that Loki was indeed Laufeyâs bastard son and was seemingly left to die (according to Odin), whereas Gamora had a family, she was loved and cared for. However, both Thanos and Odin⊠were the ones that were creating the bloodshed in their respective home worlds.
Odin and Thanos wholeheartedly believe they âsavedâ their adopted children from worse fates, showing these innocent children an act of mercy when they couldâve âleft them to dieâ. Odin has more credit than Thanos when it comes to the claim, considering he believed Loki had been left for dead by his own, however⊠Both of these men believe that it is now a debt, that they are owed due to the fact they showed them mercy.
Odin and Thanos are both beings with staunch beliefs and bloody pasts, trying to shape the world into what they perceive as âpeaceâ and âorderâ. Both are warlords in differing ways. Odin is All-Father to the Nine Realms, Hela revealing in âThor: Ragnarokâ how he achieved such power through violence and force. Hela even described herself as Odinâs âweaponâ⊠Sound familiar?
Thanos is a tyrant, enacting his own plan to bring order to a universe that has a finite amount of resources through violence and death. He also used his daughters as weapons, through brutal training and punishment to make them the âgreatest warriorsâ in the galaxy.
In the beginning of âThorâ, Odin tells the story of the battle between Jotunheim and Asgard, painting Asgard as the saviours of Earth, preventing the Jotunâs from plunging the realm into an age of ice⊠Itâs safe to assume that the Jotunâs were planning to take over Earth, to inhabit it and colonise⊠But isnât that what Odin and Asgard was doing to the other realms? And when Loki attempts to do the same, to rule over Earth⊠Once again, itâs deemed âa crime against the Nine Realmsâ.
Itâs only acceptable when Asgard, or Odin himself, are the ones enacting such things, being painted in history books as a triumph, protecting and enacting⊠order.
Hela was cast aside, locked away when her âambitions grew too big for Odinâ, after he had instilled such ambitions in her in the first place. Yet, Odin continues to make the same mistakes time and time again with his children. Both Loki and Thor have âdisappointedâ him, when he was the one who raised them and instilled such beliefs and values in them. Thanos often weaponised his own disappointment towards his daughters, especially Nebula.
It isnât a coincidence that both Odin and Thanos see themselves as âsavioursâ. Nor is it coincidence that they both view their children as assets and âthe futureâ. Thanos stated himself he had hoped one day Gamora would take over his throne. Odin had expected Thor to be the one to take his. Itâs, once again, a system. Itâs a system they set up and then are disappointed by when their children object to it â when it fails their agenda. Odin may have changed, âsoftenedâ in his later years, however, he is still as much of a warlord as Thanos.
Both Thanos and Odin wanted to use their children to enact their plans. Odin told Loki that he took him from Jotunheim, thinking he could use him one day as a way to bring peace to the realms. Thanos gave orders to Gamora and Nebula to retrieve stones, to spread his gospel. Both men had an agenda, and they werenât above using their children to push it/succeed in it. And the most nuanced part about all of this, is that both cared for their children. Thanos loved Gamora. Odin loved Loki. It was the wrong kind of love, the type of love that would leave scars, warp their childrenâs perception of themselves and their relationships, but it was a form of love â as messed up and toxic as it was.
But itâs because their definition of love, whether they realised it or not, was conditional.
Itâs no wonder why and how Loki ended up involved with Thanos, as Iâve delved into before, itâs familiar. Itâs the type of dynamic that rides on approval â Loki needed Thanosâ approval to survive, and if he failed, he knew he would be punished.
Odin and Thanos are not identical by any means, however, they share a lot of similarities and common characteristics when it comes to their adopted children and beliefs of order. Their love is conditional, and they believed they are owed a debt by the children they âsavedâ â they will weaponise their disappointment, and use it to punish. Itâs only when itâs too late do they reflect on their actions and how it affected their childrenâŠ
âThey fuck you up, your mum and dad. They may not mean to, but they do. They fill you with the faults they had and add some extra, just for you."
(Yes, Iâm aware the Odin quote is from the deleted scene, but it felt right to include as it has a similar tone for comparison to Thanos and Nebulaâs moment. And obviously, Iâm aware Thanos literally tortured Nebula, whereas Odin never did that to Loki, that isnât what this post is about).
