What Is The Natural Hair Challenge?
There have been a few challenges that have been popping up this year on social media, most notably the #sogonechallenge and #mannequinchallenge. The mannequin challenge is particularly interesting to me, because the song helped Rae Sremmurd’s single “Black Beatles” (which was the song used in a majority of the videos) become the number #1 song in the US.
This proves not only the power of social media but the power of these challenges. But what about a challenge for all the natural beauties out there? I’ve checked hashtags on twitter and instagram, and while there pictures related to tag #naturalhairchallenge, there really isn’t a natural hair challenge in the same manner as the likes of the so gone or mannequin challenges.
That’s why I am creating a new an actual #naturalhairchallenge. Plus since I already made a song about natural hair, it not only makes sense from a marketing/viral point of view, but we will already have a song for the challenge ( as opposed to random songs that have nothing to do with natural hair).
