I finished reading the Eisenhorn series quite some time ago and have played through Rogue Trader several times. What’s next? That’s right—learning the basics :).

I think an exciting adventure awaits both me and my eyes.

I finished *Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader* again today, this time with *The Infinite Museion* DLC. Despite the bugs, the DLC turned out great: both the plot and the characters shed new light on the story of the Koronus Expanse. And the addition of a new colony is especially gratifying for my profit-hungry Lord Captain.

But now, there’s an emptiness inside again. Because, alas, I haven’t found anything more compelling than this game yet. The open map, the well-crafted characters, and their personal quests remind me of the *Mass Effect* series—after finishing that, I spent a whole day wondering how to go on living :)

And, of course, there’s one particular character—wielding an Inquisitorial Rosette and a force sword (I'm not pointing fingers, but... ) — who makes it especially hard to let go of this game :)

Well, I suppose it’s finally time to commit to a playthrough on the side of Chaos and wait for the new DLC.

P.S. Owlcat Games, thank you for this endless adventure in the Koronus Expanse that you’ve given us! You are amazing!

«Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader» never ceases to delight with its bugs. I ran into one today: after a grueling excursion to the Museon, the Rogue Trader decided to share a private moment with Heinrix. And after the night they spent together, the clearly impressed Interrogator began to glow and disintegrate into cubes — right there in the Lord Captain's bed. A strange reaction, even for Heinrix, but... okay.

But then, things started going haywire for the Lord Captain and all the companions who had taken part in that ill-fated outing.

And considering the quest was literally like *Groundhog Day*, I’m starting to be plagued by some truly terrifying suspicions...

Hi everyone! I didn't have much content recently and here is the reason. For the last 2.5 months I've been studying anatomy drawing in New Art School, and this is final selection of drawings. Can't wait to apply all the things I've learned to my new arts! 😊

Am I the only one imagining it, or do those dead heretic models in Electrodynamic Cenobium actually resemble Heinrix? It looks like our interrogator is walking among… his own corpses. Creepy...

Update: but it turns out the issue was with identical models. Well, that could have made for an interesting horror story.

I also saved some progress shots this time, maybe someone will find them useful! Random thoughts about my decisions/what works for me personally under the cut.

i don't color b&w, even though it looks like it. I just put the shadows in Hard Light mode on the gray (or any other neutral color) flats so i can concentrate on values only.

after that, i select the layer with shadows and color it separately by hand without any blending modes (best seen on images 4->5). I almost never use gradient maps, with the exception of backgrounds to create a color variation, and the only other blending mode i use for actual *color* is overlay, mostly to highlight warm tones. I don't consider this an optimal way, I just think my style works better with suffering and doing everything manually.

Same with details and backgrounds, I don't use any special brushes for grass/trees/flowers/whatever.

Getting a sketch right is THE single most important thing for me. Bad/rushed/"dirty" sketch could easily turn a 5-hour drawing into a 20-hour one because you will spend those hours fixing some annoying errors which could have been avoided on the sketch stage. I don't like sketching buut i kinda figured out that i better spend a hour more on the sketch than a week on constantly redrawing one part and screaming internally because i was impatient lol

It's not worth it to spend your time on lining/sketching small details. I delete/erase the sketch layer later anyway and adding all those golds and purity seals is much easier and faster when you just focus on form.

Background is rendered simultaneously with the characters to avoid the inconsistency. Same as individual details, I dont do a linear order like fully render face->hair->clothes, but rather render everything at once in small parts. If i ever drop the piece and return to it a month after, this approach avoids the problem of having different parts rendered with different skill levels/styles.

Итак, в свои 30 с хвостиком решила снова взяться за изучение английского. С нуля, ибо мои познания как человека, в школе вынужденного изучать немецкий, ограничивались фильмами и чисто IT- терминологией. Были попытки учить по Dualingo, но как-то не сложилось. И каков успех за 3 недели? Черепашьим шагом, но двигаюсь😅
