I'll be on tmr! Sorry been busy busy
As the two began to carefully make their way through charcoaled building, Nathan glanced around in the best effort that he could to assist with trying to find some sort of way out of here. “I’ll take anything I can get, so lets see what you can do..” Nathan drifted off, reaching over to the nearest object to lean against and help him move far away from the young Amet as possible. Every inch he moved, Nathan held back and fought through the ounces of pain he was still getting. Even the light burning sensations he was getting from touching the burnt counters and walls.
Eli assessed the situation as much as he could and tried his best to focus, though the bodies around him and the fire slowly engulfing the diner threw him off. Wood, metal and other materials in front of him seemingly blew up into tiny little pieces, but it wasn't where he was aiming at and the young Amet got hit. A huge splinter hit him between his ribs on his right side and stuck there, causing him to cry out in pain. "Fuck.." He groaned loudly before going back to Nathan and helping him walk.. At least he created a new path for them.
Nathan remained silent for a few minutes, both glaring at his siren comment and his explanation about not being able to control his power. As angered as it had made him, Nathan at the same time understood. Thinking back to before he met Aria, knowing exactly how it felt to not control the power you possessed, or even having the lack of knowledge with the entire thing. And from what he seemed like he was able to do, Nathan could really only imagine the struggles he must go through whenever he puts his work into action. “Keep it up, young one, and I’ll force you into stepping through the flames,” he said in a much more serious tone as he began to take himself away from the wall, using Eli as a bit of leverage but keeping his opposite hand against the wall so not all of his weight would be forced onto the younger Amet. “Yeah, we all have our own problems here, but since you seem to be the one with functioning legs between the both of us, you’re going to have to lead the way to the back.”
"Hey, the last part I was being serious." He murmured, letting the man grab his good arm and his waist to keep him upright as he made his way through the fire-y obstacle course that presented itself to them. Eli came to a dead end and turned to go another way, but found that no matter where they went, they were blocked in. "Nathan, you need to move away from me, I'm going to blast our way though this part and something may fall. I don't need you injuring yourself more when we don't know if our partners are on their way out of town or not. You think you can do that?"
Nodding his head to confirm Eli’s question, Nathan gave another quick glance around the room at the destruction before them. He cleared his throat, putting his gaze back over at Eli and examining the injuries he’s suffered. “You don’t need to tell me twice,” he replied with a shake of his head, glancing up and around once more to catch anything he could grab a hold of to help and keep him up. “Not a chance. Even if I somehow managed to find the will, my only objection would be to lure in those bastards in here to suffer alongside with us..” Nathan paused for a second with the attempt to catch his breath.
His mind wandered off for a moment, finding himself thinking back to Brooke with the high hopes that she’d already be on her way out of town. It was only a matter of time until all three of them would be healed and escaping would be a lot easier. “Looks like we’re back on making more explosions. Now’s your time to shine, young one.” His eyes glanced back over at Eli as he pressed his back against the wall, slowly sliding and forcing himself up onto his feet with his hand sticking out for the other Amet to grab onto. “Knowing her, she’s probably already off looking for a way out. Despite everything you may have heard about her, I know she wouldn’t just leave us.”
"You're a siren?" Eli chuckled, even though it caused him pain and made him almost cough up a lung. "Sorry, I just.. Siren's are usually women of the sea who lured sailors with their enchanting and beautiful song and usually made them shipwreck so that they would come to their deaths. Anywho, wasting time here you can tell me all about it later."
In the silence he thought of Grace, wondering what pain she must be in and hating himself for it. He'd never felt what it was like when your partner was hurt, he hoped it wasn't too bad and that she was getting out of town as soon as she could. "But.. It could make the whole infrastructure collapse.. I'm not very good at this. I mean, I could shatter doors out of the way and windows so we could climb out of them but I don't really know how to control it." He replied, grabbing the mans hand with his good arm and hoisting himself up. "I'm not her best fan in the world, but I sincerely hope so. If we get out and she's not there, you could lure her out with your 'song', and I'll make sure nothing gets in her way." He replied, sighing some as he cradled his arm. "I'm not feeling so good.. I'm dizzy and light-headed." He murmured more to himself than the other. "Just.. let's go to the back of the building. Hopefully that wasn't hit as bad as here." Eli replied as he looked around at the charred, lifeless bodies and tried his best not to hurl. He'd killed people before, accidentally, and now he was definitely hating himself for it more than he ever had, but he needed to focus.
At the end of the world, Or the last thing I see. You are never coming home, Never coming home. Could I? Should I? And all the things that you never ever told me, And all the smiles that are never ever, Ever...
With every cough that fell from Nathan’s mouth, his lungs clenched tighter and tighter, making it even more difficult to breathe in the smoke and flames that were quick to engulf the venue. It all happened so quick, his ears still ringing from the sound of the loud explosion as he tried to wave his hand to clear the smoke in front of him for any small amount of sight he could get. Slowly he tried to rise himself from the ground, managing to push off the large chunks of broken wood from the tables and chairs that buried his legs. “Ahh..” Nathan winced in pain trying to move himself, coming to realization immediately that something had been wrong with his legs. With every ounce of strength he could give to stand up, his legs would give out and he’d collapse back down onto his knees, causing him to reach out for whatever was left that didn’t blow away from the explosion for leverage to keep him from falling down completely.
He carefully made his way over towards the direction of the shouting male, nothing but a look of disgust on his face passing by the victims and crisp corpses who suffered in this attack. “Sit yourself up, young Eli,” he spoke out, his voice a little raspy which had been followed by a few more coughs. “Now isn’t the time to give into defeat.” Collapsing back down, Nathan shifted his body to sit down before he reached over to grab onto Eli’s shirt, giving whatever he had left in his body to pull him to the nearest wall to sit him up.
Eli's hooded eyes fell on Nathan as he heard his voice, and he nodded at his words, sitting up as he allowed himself to be pulled by the other amet. "Nathan, right?" He asked before coughing harshly. It felt like his lungs were on fire with every breath he took and with the adrenalin rushing, he wouldn't have known his arm was broken and his head was bleeding badly if he couldn't see his radius protruding out of his arm and the blood wasn't wetting his neck and top.
"We need to get out of here." He murmured, his eyelids getting heavier and heavier. "I can shatter things, but that may cause more harm than good in this situation. Can your power help us out here or are we completely fucked unless we can somehow get to an exit without dying?" Eli paused for a second, furrowing his brow before looking around. "Where's Aria?"
Returning from unconsciousness and still trying to catch her breath, Aria could only account for herself and Nathan. Charred bodies lied around them and it made her nauseous to just see the sight, the smell was a whole other story. “We’ve got to get out of here…” She mumbled to Nathan, trying to see through the smoke and the ash. “See if you can find an exit?” Turning to look for herself, it was the sound of someone yelling that caught her attention. Carefully stepping through some of the rubble, Aria squinted her eyes at an attempt to make out who it was. “Eli, screaming and wasting oxygen isn’t going to get you out of here.” She stated coldly. Grabbing his arm, she pulled him with him to a corner that still had less smoke in it and she began to look at him for injuries. “You’re not healing.” She mumbled quietly, more to herself than to him, dropping his arm. “Neither am I…”
Automatically her hand touched her abdomen where she had been impaled by a piece of wood and she leaned against what was left of the wall. “I’m sure Carter and Grace are on their way out of town…we just have to try not to die before they can get far enough away. And that starts with finding a way out of this…”
Eli looked up as he saw Aria and the state that she was in. He cried out when she grabbed his arm and pulled him to a corner and he cradled it when she let go. It was clearly broken. "They're too close.." He murmured, leaning back against the wall. "I need you to help me get my top off and rip it in half, we need to stop smoke inhalation as much as possible, and I'm only working with one arm here."
He looked down as her hand went to her abdomen and his eyes widened. "I, uh, you could do with some pressure around that.. That's supposed to help with wounds, right?" He asked before fluttering his eyes closed a few times, his hand going up to the back of his head for a moment before his hand pulled away, shaking and covered in blood. "I think I cracked my head open when I fell.. I.. I'm not feeling so great. Fuck, she needs to leave. She needs to get as far away from me as possible. I knew I should never have come here to find her. I should've kept my distance." Eli sighed and looked around. "Are you going to be okay to walk? We need to find a way out or we are going to die, and if they're not far away enough when we do..."
Eli had been sat in a secluded booth at the back of the diner when fire engulfed the place. For a second, he was blinded by the bright lights, he couldn't see anything. When he opened his eyes he was on his back on the floor and fire was surrounding him. He'd seen Aria and that other amet she frequented enter and whilst he was somewhat worried for them, his survival was most important too him... For Grace's health, not his own. "Aria?!" He called, coughing as he did from the smoke. "Nathan?!" It was useless. He had to move or he'd get burned, more so than he already was. The adrenalin was rushing and he didn't know what injuries he had, but he had to move. He was closer to the back than the front, so he decided to attempt to find a back exit, but everywhere he turned, there was fire. "Please.. Fuck, please. Someone else has to be fucking alive in this place?! Answer me!"
If you wanted to watch me getting changed, you could have just asked instead of being a massive creeper.
I want that knife back...
I really wouldn’t put if passed her, but how do I get it back. I think she might be a bit of a psychopath.
We talk to her sweet twin sister who will do anything to put Aria's mistakes right. [he shrugged, looking over at her]
I want that knife back...
It was in my hand…. Before Aria snapped my neck.
Aria might have stolen it then.
I want that knife back...
I need that damn thing.
Where'd you last see it?
A bad boy and a mystery, every teen girl’s wet dream.
That’s what you have alcohol for, tune them out and then knock them over the head with the bottle when it’s empty.
I know right?
Oh I like the way you think.
"Wait for me, wait for me. It's not too late for me. I'll be back in a hurricane."
Somebody's doing something they shouldn't be... Tut, tut, tut.
Give me an example then.
Well if the opinions of others actually matters to you, I think we’ve found your first actual problem.
But then that takes away from the mystery.
Oh it doesn't, none of them do. It just gets tedious hearing the same thing over and over. Like, yeah I've heard this all before, shut up and move on.
"Sure I’ll teach you," she told him nodding softly. "All it takes is some speed and some coordination— in sure you’d get the hang of it in a minute…. You don’t think people understand you," she asked him, only really realizing how offensive she sounded. "— I mean, does anyone ever try… Do you let them?" She had to ask, she had to know if she had a chance of getting somewhere witch them, if she had a chance of knowing what was behind brown eyes, how difficult this would be. Would it all be worth it, if she could hold on long enough to get though? Only time would tell and the two of them had a lot if time. "…. My favorite thing to do… Hm, I don’t even know, I just like hanging out with Dean and Zoe… Rhiannon, exploring town… What about you?"
"No, I don't think people understand me. I think they see the drinking as a choice. I think they think I could just stop in the blink of an eye and not ever crave another drop again. I don't think they think, even for an Amet, that it's an actual addiction and a dependency. Among many other things that they don't and never will understand about me." He answered with a little huff at the end, but he wasn't angry or even annoyed.. He was just stating it how it was. "But yes, I do let people in rarely I guess. It just depends on the person." He sighed before nodding at her favourite things to do, not wanting to comment on her hanging out with Dean and Zoe. "I, um.. I don't really have a favourite thing to do. Not an acceptable one, anyway."
