Mike Schmidt SO headcannons
•First things first, Abigail Schmidt was not one to be messed with, the second you walked through that door and your boyfriend introduced you to her, she gave you a stone cold look and a disinterested 'Hello...' before the girl went back to her drawings.
• Welp, there we go, she hates you, or does she? The next time you see her she talks to you nonstop, wanting to know everything about you; your favourite colour, favourite animal, favourite breed of dog, everything, and you tell her everything.
• The first time you spent the night Abby had been over the moon, immediately demanding that she stay up with you two, but that was shot down quickly by Mike.
•The compromise was that you tuck her in, which ended in her grabbing your hand and whispering very quietly
•"Can you and Mike get married now?"
•You didn't cry, infront of her, but when you returned to the sitting room you almost started sobbing in joy.
She Tolerates Your Existence!:
•She's not your biggest fan when you first meet, a silent glare and cold shoulder was how she was introduced to you.
•Mike had told you that it's just cause she's shy but it still hurt.
•You tried everything to get her to so much as say 'hi' or 'hello' but nope nothing.
•This same game happened everytime you were over until Mike asked you to watch Abby while he went to work.
•Scary stuff, you had watched her favourite show (in silence), ate lunch and dinner (in silence) and you even brushed and braided her hair (she was silent, but you talked about random stuff the whole time).
•Talking to a brick wall was getting annoying however so you finally ask her, "Did I do something to make you not like me?"
•And like that the dam broke, suddenly you were holding a sobbing little girl close to you as she tried to explain that she didn't want to get attached to you incase her aunt Jane took her away, it broke your heart to watch her cry but eventually you got her to calm down and pinkie promised that you would never ever ever leave her.
•The sight Mike walked home to is still his favourite memory, you and Abby curled up in a well crafted blanket fort with crayons and pages scattered everywhere, and in the middle a lovely drawing of you, Mike and Abby with 'My Family' scrawled underneath it.
