A KNIGHT OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS S01E05 - “In The Name Of The Mother”
Rhaena & Addam
CD: TARGARYZN (hiatus queue)
So I have been seeing people debating if this is Alys or Addam in this scene:
It doesn't look like Alys to me. The clothing looks different and Aemond seems to be looking up, suggesting that the person is either the same height or taller. I haven't seen Gayle next to Ewan but I would assume she is not the same height.
However, I don't think it's Addam either because the hair doesn't look similar. And what throws me off the most is why would Aemond be looking at him with pure devotion in his eye? And say "we'll raise our own throne" to Addam? I love Aemond but he is too arrogant and stuck up to be talking to Addam like this of all people. Especially since they have never met.
So here is my theory - Aemond is seeing his son in a vision in this scene. If Alys and Aemond end up having a child, with how Alys' hair is dark, it's highly unlikely that their son will inherit the silver hair gene.
It would also explain why Aemond is looking at the person with this look of vulnerability. The phrasing of "OUR own throne" would also make more sense if he is talking to his son and believes that his son will be King one day. It would also explain why people can't seem to pinpoint who this person is, as maybe we have never seen this character before.
I am excited for season 3 to see if my theory ends up totally wrong lmao. As I doubt it's true. But I do find it odd that they didn't show the person's face...
The only person I see Aemond speaking this way to is Alys. But if it's not her, then a vision version of his son makes more sense to me. Especially if they're leading Aemond towards going on his own path away from his family and pursue his own ambitions.
Hit the road if you will
