“It’s actually kind of a lot, Eli! You need the good sleeps to be healthy. There’s a reason people go crazy and hallucinate after staying awake for a long time.” Dexter semi-lectured, the concern evident by his facial expressions. It wasn’t like he was trying to be a Debbie Downer, but he was genuinely worried about the other man, “Fine, I’ll give it to you. But you might be if you stay up for mch longer!” A scoff escaped his lips as he listened to him speak, his eyebrows furrowing together, “I feel like whenever people say they don’t like tea, it’s because they just haven’t tried the right one yet. But seriously, be careful dude. I don’t wanna see the coroner rolling you out of the hotel lobby one day. I think I’d be thoroughly sad…” He shook his head, giving him a small smile, “I’m glad you’re good. I worry about you sometimes.”
“I like to think I’m already healthy, and like I said, I don’t need a lot of hours of sleep so I can survive. Look at me, I’m standing right here, better than ever.” He said with a small smile. “Don’t worry, once my shift is over I’ll just go back to my room and cuddle my pillow until I fall asleep, it’s better than nothing.” He said with a nod. “No, I’ve tried tea, I just don’t really like it. And look at you, getting all lame, saying that you would miss me. I know that you would, but I don’t plan on getting fired anytime soon.” He said with a chuckle.
