November Air | Elise and Open
the-baddest-kitty:
Lia had heard about what had happened at the academy last night and had held herself as if she didnât care. The truth was that she was a bit uneasy. Lia was confident in her ability and age to hold off a couple of measly huntersâ same as Natasaâ but it was the unknown that frightened her. Who were they? Were they walking among them? Did Lia give one a lap dance last night? She didnât know and that was the most intimidating part. With the whole town going crazy over it, she needed to get away.·
In the cool air of November in Maine, the most serene place to collect her thoughts was the beach. Being a vampire, the cold didnât affect her whatsoever. She was just grateful for the solitude. Taking another drag of her cigarette, Laelia blew the smoke up towards the sky, breathing the brisk fall air in through her nostrils. She didnât need to breathe at all, nor were the cigarettes a danger to someone like her, but she often found she enjoyed the scents and smells of the world around her. Especially the beach.
A brunette with a beating heart joined her on the sandy dunes, seemingly not noticing the vampire off to the side. She kicked off her shoes and sat down by a log, curled up in a sort of tranquility that Lia didnât really want to interrupt. She remained quiet and let the human have her time. Noticing a small shiver in the other woman, Lia shrugged her useless leather jacket off in a sort of silence that only vampires could grasp. âCold?â The English girl purred, tossing the jacket a few feet over, beside the Latina, while also making her presence known finally.
Elise didnât enjoy the cold weather, not one bit. She had never been the kind of woman to purposely go out into the cold, however for some reason today she couldnât feel the difference in temperature, maybe her body was still in shock to what she has seen earlier that day or maybe she had just been out on the beach side for long enough that she had grown immune, even with how highly unlikely that sounded.Â
The Latina could feel her eyes growing deeper into the darkness that she felt while they were closed, nearly able to allow herself to drift off even, though Elise liked to be somewhat aware of her surroundings and if she allowed herself to fall into a sleep then she would become more vulnerable to whomever decided to pop in than she already was. As soon as the dark haired woman came to communications with her overly relaxed mind, it clued into her senses just how cold she had been all along. She brought her knees closer into her body, hugging them tighter as she kept her brown eyes closed and hidden from the world. Until she felt the thud of something landing beside her.
Her brown eyes opened slowly, the voice spoken was one familiar to her. She looked over to Lia, the two had interacted multiple times now. Elise took the leather jacket in her hand and placed it on her legs, covering them. âFreezing!â she replied with a soft, however mildly intense tone. âThanks blondieâ Elise smiled small up to the Vampire, noticing the smoke between her fingers, a cigarette would be incredibly soothing right now, jealous of Lia in a way for having one with her. Elise met her eyes with the other womanâs âMind if I have a drag?â
