sometimes, i’m having a good day, then i’m thinking about the Byers-Hopper family.

Joyce & Hopper had to mourn their daughter.

Jonathan and Will had to watch their sister sacrificing herself, both wishing that they could do something. anything.

Jonathan probably hate himself for being high all the time when they were in California, when he could have bonded with her.

Will probably felt empty, after loosing Jane, who was like his twin.

Every picture of Jane that Jonathan took are either in their bedrooms, living room.. or carefully with them all the time.

Every time they are asked how many siblings they have, Jonathan & Will always answer two.

Oh Jane Hopper-Byers. You were so loved.

with all the plotholes, all the loose threads, and just all of the god awful executions, there is seriously no way this finale got greenlit. i can’t even wrap my head around how bad this was.

all ships aside, let’s talk about the finale’s issues — the ones not revolving around romance:

• the fight with vecna was so underwhelming. SO. underwhelming. we waited for 5 seasons, and THAT was the grand ending? what the fuck. season 3 had a way better one.

• no deaths??? hello??? the insane plot armor must be studied. we were robbed.

• speaking of deaths, eleven’s fakeout sucked. the duffer brothers couldn’t even let one character die. the explanation for her fakeout was ass as well.

• the military plot got so built up just to not do a fucking shit. they could have saved so much time by just not adding them.

• all of the random side characters that got added in, showing promises of a big role, suddenly disappeared. this is why you don’t have a main cast of literally 20+, it’s bound to end badly!

• the epilogue lasted for 1/3 of the episode. that’s not what any fan wishes to see.

• michael wheeler is the character who had the most potential in the history of television, and ended up getting the most poorly written ending. that’s true tragedy right in our faces. all the promises of his character were lies. i grieve what he could have been.

i’m genuinely gonna sob. the show i thought would save me has left me utterly hopeless.

Duffer Brothers just ruined everything with that end.

Where are all the deaths that they promised ?

Mike character is just ruined. I get if Byler isn’t endgame. But we could have got something. An explanation ?? All the freaking signs that we’ve had for 5 seasons for nothing ?

El’s end ?? Just a fake ass death ??

Do they just all go on separate ways. ?

10 years. it’s been out for 10 years. Everything just got ruined in ONE NIGHT.
