i will never be able to enjoy any fic/post/headcanon – however fun it may be written – about bruce being the "mother" of the family. the batkids giving him gifts for mother's day, him having "maternal instincts", etc, etc.

why?

because whether people realize it or not, comparing bruce's relationship with his children to being a "motherly figure", calling him "bat-mom" and generally giving his personality a female character, actively supports the idea that the better parental figure has to be a woman. that bruce being a good parent is motherly, not fatherly.

bruce is a father. he doesn't have to be feminized to be a good one.

call me an overreacter for this, but idc. it's the truth.
