((Ok idk if indies do intros but...hey all who see this~ New indie, gameverse, postgame Malva blog here. Multiverse/Multiship, paragraph-style, selective, and super new to indie land.))

Delays [Open]

Malva slunk back in the uncomfortable plastic chair she had now been glued to for 4 hours and 28 minutes. She couldn’t help but count every agonizing minute over her initial departure time she was. She had already wasted her voice haggling with the clueless flight agents, the next available flight was over half a day away, and all of the work that could be completed over her Holocaster or laptop was long since done and refined several times over. For Malva, her options had now been narrowed down to counting minutes or giving another fruitless once-over for any newly available hotel rooms.

Groaning softly under her breath, Malva shuffled around in her hard little seat again, vainly trying to find any secret soft spots.

“Of all the times to have to travel overseas,” she muttered as she looked down at a groggy Lise, “I get to go during one of the busiest times of the year…” Lise tried to talk back, but a yawn interrupted her weak growl. Malva stroked her Pyroar’s long ponytail mane, whispering small, Kalosian words of comfort to her.

An off-tune series of synthesized ‘bongs’ brought the two’s view up to the clock, which had just hit 11:00 pm. “Ugh…” Malva sunk deeper into her chair, rubbing the top of the bridge of her nose slowly. “We should be landing by now.” As if accepting her fate, Malva flicked all of her travel tabs closed and opened up one of those mind-numbing pay-to-play apps. She was far too stubborn to pay for more lives or upgrades, but the market was so saturated with them that she had hours of free play to burn. She hoped she wouldn’t have to use them all, though.

After a few simple minutes, Malva was engrossed enough that she was no longer fighting Lise’s numerous attempts to sit her oversized body on her Trainer’s lap. Nor was Malva aware of the person who had just decided to seat themselves right next to her…
