@elitethunder
its kind of weird to think about, but
since they’re sort-of-bosses (usually before Giovanni)
if anything
Red actually remembers Jesse and James as being stronger than the average Team Rocket grunt
so to be getting my Red muse back
in addition to Yellow on the 3DS Virtual Boy
i’m also goign to be playing my all time favorite hack, Pokemon Lightning Yellow, now that it’s finally reached it’s 1.0 release and even supports Mega Evolution! Especially since, like, it even has Mega Evolution: which is nice since i HC if she had a key stone, Mega Pidgeot would be Red’s primary mega evolution
so hopefully, expect to see me more here in the upcoming days!
and if you’d like to play it:

enjoy~!

Green sighs, both exasperated and already used to the new nickname. Honestly, his eyes were green for a reason. Perhaps he would make his middle name Blue, in the future when he returned home. His hands folded in front of him, bowing deeply in thanks.
“Thank you for telling me where I am Miss. My name is Green Oak of Pallet Town. I am a Pokemon Professor and Gym Leader of Pallet Town Gym… Or at least… I was, before I somehow ended up here.” Straightening, Green looked her in the eye. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, even under the… well, odd circumstances.”
Here he gives a sheepish smile, and glances curiously her way. “If… you don’t mind terribly much, could you explain who this Blue person is? I’ve been mistaken for him four times today.” He explained with a sheepish smile.
Green Oak...? So, he wasn’t Blue. A cousin? A brother? No, no: Professor Oak would have told her of such a thing... “Would I be mistaken in saying that the esteemed Professor Samuel Oak is your grandfather?”
Gym Leader sounded accurate... but of Pallet Town? She just talked to Blue a few weeks ago, letting him vent how no strong trainers had come to the Vermillion Gym lately...
“Blue is a rival of sorts, to me. We’re friendly enough now, but we were fierce rivals in pursuit of the League Championship. Ultimately, I defeated him shortly after he became the League Champion. He’s been the head of the Vermillion City Gym for a while now... does any of this sound familiar to you? You look just like him, down to a T. Asuka thinks something is off about your scent: if not, I would be assume you were playing a shitty prank on me.”
“Does the name ‘Satoshi Akai’ or ‘Red’ mean anything to you, at all?”
Viola just gulped of course, her Pokemon were no where near strong enough to combat someone like this. Which just left her nothing but a nervous wreck, she couldn’t do anything what so ever really, if anything the only thing she could do, was bide the higher ups some time of course. Depending on what was even going on of course.
“I-I-I’m not that weak….!”She might be a little weak compared to most, more than most really. But she wasn’t completely weak, still no match for the other though, her voice sounded scared, but she had to at least try and stick up for herself.
“Aren’t you, now?”
The Pikachu on Red’s shoulder laughed a bit at the insinuation: a member of some half-baked team trying to talk back to her elite master? H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S!
“Pikaaaaa!”
Returning her eyepatch to it’s proper place, Red let out a low chuckle of her own.
“Indeed, Asuka,” she replied, scratching the electric rodent behind her ears. “Her determination is funny, at best.”
She took a step forward. “Strength comes not from groups, but from individuals. Groups like your Team Magma exist as a result of a union between the weak and unworthy in the hopes that in doing so, you will be strong enough to actualize your goals. Pick you apart one by one and none of you can stand by yourself.”
“You’re afraid of me, little girl. Yet you still haven’t run off: how curious...”
I HAVE PLAYED THIS BEFORE
IT HAS BEEN,,, UPDATED,,, OH MY GOD,,,
since my muse has been really low here
i’m gonna be
playing Pokemon Yellow on the 3DS to hopefully get my Red muse back~
i
am digging this new icon
@elitethunder
“Skipping the Elite Four and coming all the way here? Something tells me either you’re supremely confident or you’re here for some official reason.”
“Only fools would fight the guardians of the castle instead of aiming for the queen.”
She reached into her pocket, reading a letter. “I came to investigate a ‘Team Flare’ but it would seem those weaklings were dealt with. I simply assumed it was you.”
On Red and her brand of “elitism”
I mention in my /about that Red is somewhat of an elitist. Elitism is defined by google as “the advocacy or existence of an elite as a dominating element in a system or society.” while wikipedia gives a slightly more in-depth description as “the belief or attitude that some individuals who form an elite—a select group of people with a certain ancestry, intrinsic quality or worth, high intellect , wealth, specialized training or experience, or other distinctive attributes—are those whose influence or authority is greater than that of others; whose views on a matter are to be taken more seriously or carry more weight; whose views or actions are more likely to be constructive to society as a whole; or whose extraordinary skills, abilities, or wisdom render them especially fit to govern.”
no i’m not going to find more concrete descriptions outside of google and wikipedia you get the gist
Red, however, doesn’t care about things like intellect, wealth, or social status: to her they’re all just meaningless things, as befitting a hermit who spends much of her time in isolation. Her philosophy puts an extreme importance of the bond between trainer and Pokemon. When one becomes stronger, so does the other: that’s what it means to be a Pokemon trainer, mutual growth. A Pokemon will become much stronger with a trainer than it would have been living in the wild, and a trainer grows from fighting alongside and raising those Pokemon.
And what becomes of the strongest of trainers? They become gym leaders, champions, leaders revered by their peers and friends. As such, the definition of “specialized training or experience, or other distinctive attributes ” is a good one to describe Red’s worldview.
Those who are most capable, those who excel above others, those who are elites not by privilege of birth but by privilege of skill and worthiness. While she understands that not all aspects of society revolves around Pokemon, her attitude is much the same: those who are skilled, competent, and more “elite” deserve greater recognition among their peers and deserve to be leaders of their workplaces and the like.
In Pokemon, she respects anyone who makes the effort to raise Pokemon and train together, but she still believes that only a small handful are truly capable of becoming elites and the rest must learn to accept that. Those with skill will prove themselves in time: she did, after all.

“What a sight, a uniform like that.”
She sneered in disgust at the site of the girl’s Team Magma uniform, having made her way past several who wore that uniform. “You should know, numbers don’t give groups like your’s any strength. Team... Magma, right? That’s what you’re call calling yourselves...? It implies strength, but...”
“Worthless, pathetic weaklings, all of you,” she was glaring at the girl with her one remaining eye: a sentiment that her Pikachu was following through. “Did you think you would be strong fighting for these people? That your own weakness, worthlessness would be melted away by the lava? Please...”
“I have a fight to pick with your masters. Get out of my way, weakling.”

“I’m very used to this cold, actually.”
Sinnoh was famous for it’s cold weather, but after all her time on Mt. Silver, such a thing hardly bothered her. She was hardly dressed for the weather, but didn’t seem to mind the snow coming down eitherway. Just her usual schoolgirl’s outfit.
It almost looked funny, the snow accumulating on her head. Because it was.
“Thank you for your concern, but I’m only here to find something.”

“Down, girl.”
Asuka glared up at the ginjika, growling as she retreated to Red’s shoulder. Something was off about her shoulder, and she was determined to find out what.
“She finds something about your sent odd,” Red explained, not botherin with the introduction. “My apologies.”

“Yes, I am the former Champion. Welcome to Mt. Silver.”
The blizzard was a harsh one. The winds bringing the temperature to below zero didn’t help either.
“You are aware, this is the point where idiots tend to die, right?” the girl scolded, looking down at Rosa from the tip of her summit. “That’s a warm jacket, but not enough. You don’t have that much food either, do you?”
She approached the other champion, grabbing her by the hand.
“If you don’t want to die in this weather, you’ll do as I say.”

“Wearing a hat, like some human?” Asuka observed, sneering in disgust. “Dont’ you have any sense of pride?”
