Hello there wonderful world, my name is Elizabeth Mae Rose but you can call me Eliza. I am twenty-two years old and was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Where I attended Columbia University where I studied English and Writing. You may also know me from the books I have written titled 'A New Day, A New Chance'and 'A Smile a Day' And if you keep your eyes out a new one may be coming soon. Don’t think you missed to much Blondie. What’s your novel about?

It is a young adult book about a eighteen year old girl who drops everything to go travel the world. But she leaves behind a guy who secretly loves her but then meets someone else. Pretty typical but if I say any more my manager might kill me.

Well I guess so. I was thinking of giving it a trim sometime soon.

Ah, did you produce anything good? No actually I havent heard anything interesting.

Yeah I think I did. I got a really good start and got a lot of plots and backstories explained.

Damn. Yeah, you should probably go out and get some vitamin D, woman! I can’t really catch you up, but that’s what the episodes are for, right? What have you been writing?

I know, I know...the sun is pretty important to see sometimes. Yeah that is a good point! At least the episodes will be able to keep me up to date if I go into another writers tunnel. I have been writing for my new book, that is hopefully going to end up being a trilogy.

Oh. My . Goodness. Sorry for disappearing like that, I had the craziest writing streak these past couple days and I just couldn’t stop. For some reason this big it of inspiration came and I was able to edit my first three chapters and write four more. 

Either way I think I am finally calmed down a bit and finally realized it may be a good idea to go outside. So anyone want to hang out? Maybe catch me up?

Hello people of Hawaii, I have arrived. It’s Brittany… bitch. I have one important question for you all - has anyone spotted mermaids yet? It’s kind of my life goal and I want mermaid hair for my scrapbook.

I know we all had the premiere party and shit last week, but I’m thinking tomorrow we should do our own thing for our second ep. There won’t be any damn interviewers or anything to kill the mood. What does everyone think?

That sounds like an amazing idea to me. And if cookies are needed in this get together I will totally make them.

Oh please, they should be happy for you. You’re in paradise, after all.

I know I know but I mean I can’t blame them it is hard to be stuck with the cold weather for so many months at a time. But hopefully the pictures will make them feel warmer.

I know the feeling, it’s miserable in New York at the moment and my friends are definitely jealous of my new location at the moment.

I bet especially with that new blizzard that went through. It must have been terrible having everything closed down plus the endless snow.

Ah, the joys of rubbing paradise in everyone else’s face.

I mean it is kind of hard not to when it is so hard not to want to send them endless pictures of how beautiful this place is.

Yeah, it is really nice. I used to carry little notebooks with me, but usually I just write stuff in my phone now, just to get it down. If I’m at home, I’ll put everything on my laptop. Thanks. Yeah, that’s true. I don’t want to limit myself when it comes to writing, but poems are just easier for me to write. Thanks, that’d be really cool. I guess our own rooms would be the best place to not have interruptions, since they’re the most private. But there are probably other places.

Yeah the phone and laptop are very great to have. I have the problem sometimes of keeping things in so many places. But when I have a more solid idea I try and put it on my computer. No problem at all. They just came in last night I can bring one to you if you want. There are a couple that I have found and some of them depend on the time of day. I didn’t think there would be too many quiet places around here but after some exploring I think I found a couple. Of course I will keep it a secret between the people who want the peace. We can’t have just everyone finding them out.

Interview 002 ~ Episode Premiere

Have you been able to get any writing done since you have arrived here?

Of course, it is hard not to want to write in a place as breathtaking as this. Everywhere I go on this island finds a way to spark some sort of inspiration. I have a really good feeling I will be able to get through my book or at least a good rough draft of it before this season is done. And who knows maybe some of the people I will meet will end up being characters in the book or inspiring some of the personalities. Either way I think this island was exactly what I needed to get that extra spark I was looking for. 

Are you excited for your other sister to come to the island? 

Oh yes I am so excited for her to show her face. I love both of my sisters to the moon and back so even though it is just Marley and I now the idea of knowing we will all be together again soon is very exciting to me. 

So we are guessing that you have had the chance to meet some people and get to know them. Has anyone caught your attention? 

Well everyone seems to be great so far, and not so bad looking either. One of the first people that I really got to know was Mason McCarthy and he is a really sweet guy. And I also got to talk to Isabel Lopez also. Along with a lot of other people. I guess what I am meaning to say is that everyone has little things about them that make them stand out. 

Have you met anyone so far with similar interests as you? 

Well I met a fellow writer the other day, Nate Smith. And he seems like a really sweet guy and anyone who admires the beauty of poetry and short stories is a friend of mine. 

Could you possibly find yourself being in a relationship with someone that you met here?

I think that it could be a total possibility. I would hate to say no because I feel like with an experience like this it is so important to stay open minded. So if someone comes by and swoops me off my feet then I can’t wait to see who it is.

So here’s what I’m thinking: we all have a watching party together for the first episode, and then we take it outside and build up a gorgeous big bonfire and drink and laugh so that we don’t all try to fight each other about anything the episode might reveal.

I can make food–if anyone wants to help me or make sure we have other things we need or want for The Island First Episode Extravaganza, just let me know!

I know we are not here to watch television, but there is no way I’m going to miss The 100 when it comes back in like, two days. I’m too invested in that show.

I still need to sit down and watch that show. But I always get so distracted by shows like Game of Thrones and Dexter.

Still can’t believe that I am in paradise with amazing warm weather. All of my friends are getting frustrated with my multiple beach snapchats while they are stuck with the joy of Chicago snow. I would say I miss it but being able to lay around on the beach is so much better then to be bundling up for the snow.
