COVID-19 and Higher Education
During a time in which our nation and world is being impacted by one virus, it is clear that everyone is struggling to find ways in which to adjust to these changes. As of yesterday, #SyracuseUniversity has moved all classes to online through the end of the month due to the #Coronavirus. Although some students are seeing this as a #BonusSpringBreak, #accessibility pops out as an issue. For some students, leaving campus may mean no internet, computer, email, or class access, leaving them in the dark for their class work, as well as the date in which classes will resume. Additionally, by moving all classes to online forums, the world is truly pushing the envelope on different servers such as #BlackBoard and #Zoom as well as the internet in general. If we were to all work and educate from home on a #lockdown, do we have the ability to #BreakTheInternet?
