Elktaur angst
It was quiet, ominously so, all you could hear as you walked towards the two figures was gentle sobs leaving the elktaurs mouth, He was again whole, on the floor looking weak. He was not the general anymore, or the nowhere king, he was a being.
Picking up your speed you managed to join them gently gasping at the site of the elktaurs face. He was bruised and exhausted, remnant’s of the nowhere king surrounded him. “This cant be..” at the sound of your voice his head tilted up to meet your gaze.
His eyes widened as his sobs turned into gasps and choked cries, he felt pure guilt and sorrow, yet, he felt happy. His love, his dearest was ok. hurt, but ok. The woman raised her staff back to the ground, watching you with cautious eyes. She shifted her gaze between you two before sighing “I- I’ll give you two a minute.” she muttered walking a bit away, enough for her not to hear anything said.
Gently the elktaurs arms opened up. “my darling please, come to me. Let me hold you, just once more. Just once.” He whispered, his desperation clear.you gently walked over, standing before him, your eyes watering as your legs finally gave out, collapsing into his arms. It felt the same yet, so different. He was now here again, pulling you ever so closer as he used too, and placing delicate kisses onto your head, yet he still had shed blood with these hands, it made you shiver. Yet your arms fell almost naturally around his waist, burying your nose into his neck.
“I am so sorry, when you- when you met me in between worlds again. I was no longer me, neither half’s were me. The king nor the general. You and her both got hurt due to me. my darling, i love you ever so dearly and i love you still, just as much as back then.” he gently tilted your head up places a kiss to your forehead, then your lips.
You felt sobs start to reverberate through your chest.quiet footsteps started to approached from behind you, “It is time, y/n move away from him so I can-“ “I cant let you. Please I beg you, your highness, let us run, we will hide away and wont let anyone near us, please, please dont take him away from me! not again!” you cried curling even closer into him. His arms tightened around you, pulling you into his deer half torso, as if he was protecting you. his face nuzzled into your hair, allowing tears to fall into it “My dear its ok its for-”“No its not! please your highness!”
The Womans eyes closed, a sigh passing through her lips. “If i let you leave, how do i know he wont try this again, How do i know he is not poisoned by malicious intents.” she said as her voice raised. “|if he is i will finish him, alongside myself, you have my word. Please, please just allow us to leave..” you uttered, turning around and falling to your knees in front of her. “he’s all i have left.” she sighed, as she turned around she took one look over her shoulder at you before saying
“fine. you may go. Don’t ever let me see him OR you ever again.”
