The boys comment pierced her like a knife, and her small body filled with rage. Ella was absolutely livid. The boy hadn't just said that to her, but her bestfriend and girlfriend as well. “Yeah, sorry my ass.” She giggled at her own silly joke. Valerie smiled as Ella rambled on about her and Brittany. She was happy that her two best friends were happy, especially happy together. She paused, debating on how she’s truthfully been, “I’ve been decent, actually. Tuning into all the school fights, laughing at the people who run their mouths about how you and Britt committed a murder and ran away to hide from it.” She quoted, updating Ella on all of the story’s at school that she’s heard since they left.

Ella laughed at her friends remark. She listened to her, rolling her eyes at what people back home were saying. She smiled, I'm glad you're doing alright." Ella told Valerie in a sincere tone. She laughed again, at what people at home were saying. "Please. If I wanted to kill someone trust me I would have done it long ago, and more than one person."

Valerie smiled as she moved the hair from her eyes and observed her old friend who was standing in-front of her. It’s been a few years since, Britt, Ella and her have hung out in their clique like they used to. It’s been a few years since Valerie has even seen Ella or Brittany. “It’s me. Ella chuckled at Valerie, "I'm really sorry about that Val." She smiled softly, taking a deep breath before talking about Brit, "We're good.. Really.. Good." She trailed off, thinking about Britt, and How happy She makes her. She quickly realized that she was drifting off, and looked silly. She snapped back into reality and turned her attention back to Valerie, "H-how are things with you?" She asked, trying to take the attention off her little moment.

Ella squinted her eyes in disgust, and crossed her arms. As the kid explained he'd been pushed, her brow furrowed, "What, That asshole?" She asked the kid, awaiting a response. The boy shook his head yes, and almost immediately Ella's mouth was going off again. "Hey asshole, Watch where the fuck you're going or i'll kick your fucking ass for you." She told the guy, flipping him off with her left middle finger. She quickly turned her attention back to the boy who'd knocked into her. She took a deep slow breath, "Don't worry about it." She said in a stern voice.

Valerie looked up from the path she was walking upon and took out her headphone and pulled down her hoodie. “Sorry?” She laughed. “Maybe the other person isn’t always the problem, Ella.” She said softly, not raising an ounce of tone, knowing that Ella would realize who she was speaking too as soon as she heard the voice, maybe even as soon as she heard the giggle.

She laughed, Considering it'd been a few years since she'd came across her once hip-to-hip bestfriend. "How long has it been?" She looked at her old friend, admiring how much she'd grown.
