My drow story started as a little horror short story for my dnd campaign, then became a full on idea for a novel, and now my brain wants it to be a trilogy… I'm only halfway done with the first one!
Anyway, I sketched some posters / mock covers for them 🕸️✨
Made a little bit of progress on the lineart and was instantly tempted to start colouring my girl Maynda.
The one-and-a-half drow PCs' three NPC allies joining the party:
Shrinara is a drow bard from the remote Chiming Court. She was taken to the Navel as a candidate to become a priestess of Lolth, but the PCs helped her get out of that arrangement before she was taken to the trial in the Abyss. Which means she is now on the run.
Rambunk Fumble is a young deep gnome troublemaker from a place literally called Shady Town. He enjoys a bit of "harmless" mayhem* a bit too much for the guard captain's liking and has gone to jail on the regular. He is now on an educational journey aka dangerous mission.
Gnask is a goblin and wandering revolutionary who strives to incite rebellions and end hierarchic injustice… no kings, no gods. Gnask can absorb the innate traits of up to three other creatures, and when I rolled, one of the ones he got was troll regeneration.
*often involving alchemist's fire
Locals of Shady Town
NPCs from my underdark campaign. Near the imposing drow city of Draix’il, there is a community of secretive small folk—deep gnomes, darklings, goblins, kobolds, and such—whose town, built into ancient dwarven tunnels, has a different flavour of edgy aesthetic.
Rakkavix the xvart elder was helpful to the PCs, and Rambunk the gnome has been recruited to the party as an ally.

Started the drow campaign today! Super excited about speedrunning (actually just streamlining) this quadruple mega dungeon I made, and turn it into a manageable and fun adventure!
Turns out the drow society at the centre of the Navelways has bad vibes… but makes for a fun shopping destination lol

Telana (currently Talonia) Echep, drow priestess of Lolth, from Velquesil in the Gossamer Court. She showed up in Sinria and had a talk with Neeril Orlyar, the party's drow ranger/druid, and offered her some of the Sisterhood's lessons.
Always fun when a fully improvised NPC just WORKS.
Ryldz'tes is a drow settlement in my dnd setting, on the outskirts of Blade Court territory, and the home town of one of the player characters.
Really I just wanted to make another panorama, but vertically, and I'm sick rn so my standards for when it's 'good enough' aren't super high.
More Gossamer Memories [ao3], my sapphic drow story, centered around my OCs Maynda and Luadril. I love writing messed up elves in a messed up society underground.

The way I make megadungeon maps such as this Underdark region is heavily inspired by Hollow Knight. I like the vertical-slice-of-an-anthill style, and to make it easier for me to run my adventures, I add details with life and colour to the maps. I know at a glance whether a cave is full of strange fungi or trapped by kobolds.
This map is only partially filled out, because my players didn't explore the whole thing. Some areas are sketched out, but not yet filled in, similar to unvisited areas in the Hollow Knight games.
I've been told to edit my notes so I can publish the adventures set in my "anthill" dungeons, but that's a lot of work. Instead, I've started writing my newer adventures with that possibility in mind, just a little. No promises.
Roth Mellar is a drow city in my dnd setting, and the only truly permanent settlement of the Brooding Court. This court worships an aspect of Lolth depicted as a giant wasp, and Lolth hasn't smited them about it yet, so yay wasp!
The court's other cities relocate once every century or two, swarming to a new location to drain completely of resources.

I also made a sort of joke crew that's just Numerous, i.e. the players all get to make additional (low-level) characters.
