I want to open up my Sims 4 game but I'm afraid lol I'm not even joking 😂 It's been months and I worry about all the bugs and breaks that were reported. I don't use very many gameplay mods- just the pose player, Tool mod , MCC , the more column mod and an ancient height mod. I should be good with just updating these, right?
Today, I've read so many takes on why people don't reblog, and most of them are right on the money: there's social anxiety. And aesthetic curation. Old muscle memory from platforms that trained us to like things instead of share them. And yet… it doesn't change that this place runs on reblogs. That's not a suggestion, it's just how the machine works.
There's a persistent belief that excellent content rises to the top on its own. It doesn't. Some things go viral fast, but plenty of equally brilliant work disappears unnoticed. Nobody is owed notes and reblogs, but it's obvious: low engagement discourages a lot of people. It drives them to quit or to play it safe so they don't mess up the formula that got them noticed.
Would things get better if people understood how Tumblr works? I know I didn't understand it when I first started. For now, the best I can offer is that charming little paradox: don't care what other people think… on the platform where you post your work for other people to see and do exactly that. Make peace with that contradiction?
And if you can't make peace with it, at least know what you need and why you're here. Validation and appreciation are legitimate reasons. Just be aware that not getting them doesn't mean you aren't worthy of them.
I know that's hard to hear when you've been at it: learning, improving, trying, and still not getting that engagement. I get that those "You, creator, are amazing and wonderful and I love you!" posts can sound like a condescending platitude, even when they're not intended that way, especially coming from people who are wildly popular and don't lack for admiration.
So take it from me: pro flopper, according to some folks' metrics.
When you get the accolades: enjoy them! You earned them!
And when you don't? Don't beat yourself up. Did you love what you shared? Were you excited when you posted it? No one reacted? Their loss. They missed it. Your joy is REAL and doesn't need permission to exist.
Why do I post? Because if I didn't, I wouldn't want to play this game. I'm not going to build honking Venice and not parade around the block. It's compulsive. But once I hit send, I'm off to the next fever dream. The day I come here agonizing over engagement is the day I step away and sort myself out — because there is real sh*t going on in my life that is far, far more serious. This is my happy escapism.
I made a deal with myself before I created my simblr: if a post of mine got one note, it was a raging success. I'd keep going.
Even if that single note had to come from me.
Do it, friend.
It's the one thing you have control over:
Be untameably, ragingly, ridiculously, and unapologetically creative.

Just discovered this beautiful early access game called The Legend of Khiimori! I love an open world and sandbox gameplay and so this game is right up my alley. The game is set in 13th century Mongolia and I play as a courier rider named Naraa.
One review describes the game as: "If you liked RDR2 for the horses and breeding, the hunting and foraging, and the beautiful scenery, this is the game for you." I'll admit I'm not a big horse person so I really don't care about the breeding horses part, but I do love foraging and hunting and of course, riding around a beautiful landscape/vast open world. So far the game is really immersive and relaxing. The developers have created a beautiful world in recreating ancient Mongolia.
It's in early access but honestly nowadays what game isn't and so there are bugs but I have learned to just go with the flow when it comes to early access games.
I plan on firing up my Sims 4 game...eventually lol For now, just enjoying playing InZoi, Coral Island, Starsand Island and now this game.
Hope everyone is doing well.

The L-97 Wakatobi Cabriolet is a sleek medium-sized luxury yacht born from a collaboration between Landgraab Marine and Lesmana Enterprise, blending performance with refined tropical-modern comfort. Designed for adventurous owners who still want premium living at sea, the Wakatobi pairs a fast, agile hull with thoughtfully crafted interiors, offering the latest amenities in a compact yet elegant layout.
With one bedroom and one bathroom, it is perfectly suited for private island hopping, weekend escapes, and stylish coastal cruising without sacrificing speed, comfort, or sophistication.
Honoring the Sea
For its namesake, Landgraab Marine and Lesmana Enterprise chose to honor the beautiful waters of Wakatobi, a place long celebrated for its clear seas, island beauty, and spirit of exploration. The name reflects the yacht’s tropical character and its purpose as a refined vessel for elegant island hopping.
Yacht Specification
Beneath its polished exterior, the L-97 Wakatobi Cabriolet measures 9.7 meters in length with a 3.1-meter beam, giving it a balanced profile that feels both nimble and stable on open water.
Powered by twin 250-hp diesel engines, it can reach speeds of around 32 knots, making it well suited for swift coastal cruising and short inter-island voyages. Much of its decking and interior detailing is crafted from Sulani local Koa wood, adding warmth, character, and a distinctly island-made identity to the yacht.
Altogether, the Wakatobi is designed as a stylish, capable vessel for effortless island hopping and intimate tropical escapes.
Step Inside
Inside, the L-97 Wakatobi Cabriolet continues its tropical-luxury identity with a warm, intimate cabin finished in rich wood tones, soft ambient lighting, and wide panoramic windows that keep the sea always in view. The interior is arranged for comfort and practicality, combining a cozy lounge-dinette, compact galley, and a private sleeping space into one refined living environment. Thoughtfully designed by Lesmana Enterprise, it offers the feeling of a boutique island retreat in the form of a modern cruiser.

Personal Note from OP:
Hello! so good to be back after a long hiatus!
I have been very busy with work, masters degree, and lots of other things in life. However, I'm touched to see how the sims 4 community still actively uses my contents, and decided to share one of my latest build that I have been playing in.
I hope you enjoy the Wakatobi!

Sims 4 .package mods issues with patch 1.122
Hey, Simmers! Yes, modders know that many (not all) .package mod files aren't loading.
We believe it's likely to be an EA-side issue, so I'm not listing any mods broken yet. But go do other stuff for now, or play vanilla.
What if after I turn my mods back on that only four of my mods show up and not the rest - renamed to make this the main thread for th
The Forums thread will get an updated Solutions post when more info is available. I'll also post new info at my Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/posts/153286174 - and at Broken and Updated Mods and CC , both of which are an easy follow for notifications.
Please read this. DO NOT update your game today, unless you are okay to play without mods and cc.
I am avoiding it by going in offline mode. This looks like a mess.
so apparently this update is causing a lot of cc to not appear ingame...? (screenshots by ah00b i won't update 😭)
Didn't I say we'd eventually get to the point where we can't even choose what CC is in our own game anymore? This really feels like the first sign of that. 🥹
@m0n0lithical Friend, your tags! I wonder if you are on to something. Is this some kind of litmus test? Break people's cc and eventually force them to obtain cc only via their bullsh*t store with their stupid pseudo currency...
If you're a creator publishing free CC, you can submit your work to be featured in the new Community tab of my Refreshed Main Menu mod!
It isn't anything overly complex: it displays the CC, some info about it, and a link. But it highlights free community content for PC/Mac players. The content updates automatically, so it changes frequently and new CC can show up often.
Not a creator? You can still help by engaging with this post to spread the word! :)

The passing of Juan Miguel Rios Rivera has sent shockwaves through Del Sol Valley. Known for his signature beats, Juan Rivera gained legendary status among the music scene. C&J Studios was a childhood dream come true, named for himself and his late brother. He's gone on to produce award-winning music, changing the genre of hip hop as we know it. Upon his retirement, his beats were still used and remixed across all genres for decades. He holds ownership of all of his masters, something he said was important to pass down to his children. His son, Carlos Rivera, has since dominated the music scene. He modernized his father's signature sound and has become a star producer in his own right, ushering in a new era of hip hoppers.
When asked, Mr. Rivera says his inspiration was the streets of Bedrock Strait or "The Rock" as he refers to it. He sits back in his chair as the hint of a smile creeps across his lips and tells TIME that the sounds of the wind, the train, the bus, gunshots, fights, kids playing, the cars - everything about his neighborhood he turned into music which carried his career later in life. As he put it: "Making music is easy, if you're listening."
Del Sol Valley has lost a giant, a legend and a musical mastermind.
Details about the funeral services for Mr. Rivera have been kept private by his family and we are all keeping them in our hearts and minds as we collectively navigate this monumental loss.
