From Minister to Magistrate

It was a relief. Stepping down from Salma’s seat immediately allowed her to breathe easier. Perhaps she would return in time but with the Power of Petition Act passed, Eleanor felt more at ease to settle into the role of Magistrate. She tired of the limelight and gossip about her personal life. It was her hope that a less public role would suit her better and allow her to pursue the peace she desired.

There was still much to settle but she had made arrangements for the Ministerial house of Salma District to continue being used as a dormitory for the orphans of Ascalon Settlement. Their classes and care would continue as normal. The only change is that she would no longer reside there once she found a place of her own.

The Beetletun Fishing Tourney

Minister Rosalynd Havashem invites you to attend the Beetletun Fishing Tourney. Join in competition at the lake specially stocked for the occasion, or take your children to the pond where they can learn the basics of angling. After the fishing is done, take your catch to the cookout! When: Saturday, December 2nd 3/PST/6EST Where: The Shire of Beetletun Taxi: Rosalynd Havashem

Red: Tourney Waters, Blue: Juniors Pond, Orange: Cookout tables and Entertainment

Tourney: [4pm pst/7pm est] Bring your best angling skills to the Beetletun Lake and try to land the biggest fish! The lake is currently being stocked with Krytan Trout, and Sockeye Salmon along with the natural population of Armored Fish, Crabs, Barracuda and Gulper Fish. Hook the biggest fish and title of Best Angler! Fishing hooks for the tourney will be provided by Cavalli Steel and Smithing, courtesy of Lord Machiavelli Cavalli. OOC: How will the winner be determined? A set of roll charts have been developed to determine the type and size of fish caught by each competitor. In the interest of complete fairness, potential character skill will not be factored in to the amount or size of fish caught. Prizes: 1st Prize: A colored portrait commission from Jillustrates. Examples - 1 2 3 2nd Prize: One Black Lion Ticket choice (current single ticket skins only) 3rd Prize: 5 unindentified dyes The Pond: Let the young ones learn the fine art of casting and catching in our junior stocked pond!

William’s Duel

How dare anyone make Eleanor cry? Young William was outraged. He had found her in tears and drunk beyond coherence in her bedroom during a visit. All he could make out is that it was something concerning this Fernand fellow. She was also adamant in covering up her neck.

Oh no, this would not do at all. It was his duty as one of the last remaining heirs of House Aquitaine to punish those who hurt it. So he went off in search of this ‘Lord Aguillard’.

The Man could be found quite reclused on the docks of Garenhoff.  The oceanic stare seemed particularly bland, bemused.  Sure, the wound upon his jaw from the scuffle days prior was cleanly stitched, but now another welt lay upon his brow with the swelled imprint of a scripted A.  He leaned against the rockface, spine hunched while her idly tooled with one of the knot.  One of the sailors approached the elder Aguillard, speaking up.   “There is a boy here for you, my Lord.  Acquitaine?”  The smooth, Kurzick serration emerged.  A hollow stare slid up over the hill, spotting a young, indignant blonde.  “He looks upset.” “Doesn’t matter.  Send me the kid.”

William wasn’t one for proper introduction. At least not in this case. But it was his first time challenging someone so he wasn’t quite sure how to approach this. He walked right up to Fernand and flung his glove at his face.

“You!” The much younger and clearly reckless man pointed to the Lord Aguillard. “You have upset my mo-sister. I meant sister. She’s definitely my sister.” He cleared his throat and did his best to look intimidating despite his baby face. “She’s crying because of something you did. So I’m here to defend her honour!” Seems he rehearsed that bit by how his voice tried to deepen.

The glove was flung to his face, yet swatted easily away given the purpose he strode forth.  A heavy sigh breathed from his lips, taunt on his tongue.   “You’re a day late and a copper short, kid.  Probably should have had the idea before I fucked her senseless.  Go hope and change your diaper before you try this fight.”

“You… what did you just say about her!? Don’t you touch her again!” Will half stammered and picked up his glove, only to slap Fernand with it. “I challenge you to a duel!”

Immediately, the looming Kurzick took the glove so it would sting against his already raw features.  Wreathing a single arm about the boy’s waist, he attempted to drill persistent digits into the waistband, finding the fabric of his undergarments and hoist the youth up.  If granted, he would keep hoisting until Will levitated, feet danging freely.

This is not how young William imagined this going. He yelped and struggled wildly against the impending wedgie. Yet it dug, Dwayna have mercy, it DUG into his nethers. Somewhere in the process he teared up. “This isn’t a duel!” His voice went high at the end there.

Fernand’s ribs were on fire, each breath which he carried young William, holding him out like a prize of war.  If the boy kicked, or moved at all, Fernand would keep ripping the fabric to split the sacs of of flesh beneath.  Climbing upon the rigging, Fernand took one of the sails and began to tie the rope quite elaborately into the boy’s beltlooop.  Now, it was not just his undergarments wedged into the crack of his ass, but the brutal fabric of his finer attire.  Unless otherwise thwarted, the sail, and William, would raise.

Poor young William was raised on the rope and crossed his arms, resigned to his humiliating fate. Yet he burned for the need to get this Fernand back. So he would plot in silence while the sailors snorted laughter.

Dusting off his palms upon one another, he did not even deign poor William with a glance back, or even a victorious smug.  Unfortunately for the young boy, the crowds about Garenhoff started to gather, the Kurzick not lingering to relish in the easily-gained victory.

Alec showed up… an unfortunate amount of time later. He looked up at the dangling young man and sighed before setting about lowering the sail and freeing him. Before the young man had the time to say anything, he held up a finger to his lips and pulled out a graduation cap from Krytan University. He slapped the hat onto William’s head and rolled his eyes.

“Congratulations, you’ve graduated with honors from idiot academy. What do you have to say for yourself?”

It took poor William awhile to adjust his trousers, groaning in pain as he did so. He spoke in an unnaturally high voice. "I'm going to kill him... He didn't take me seriously and he made her cry. I've never even seen her drunk before either. He has to pay." He was seething when he tore the cap off him and flung it into the ocean. "But first... I think I need a doctor. Who isn't Eleanor... and please don't tell her about this."
