From Minister to Magistrate
It was a relief. Stepping down from Salmaâs seat immediately allowed her to breathe easier. Perhaps she would return in time but with the Power of Petition Act passed, Eleanor felt more at ease to settle into the role of Magistrate. She tired of the limelight and gossip about her personal life. It was her hope that a less public role would suit her better and allow her to pursue the peace she desired.
There was still much to settle but she had made arrangements for the Ministerial house of Salma District to continue being used as a dormitory for the orphans of Ascalon Settlement. Their classes and care would continue as normal. The only change is that she would no longer reside there once she found a place of her own.Â
