Lessons on living in the now:: Sometimes you just need to rearrange your kitchen to cater to your everyday instead of some dinner party that might happen one day. I like the kettle's steam against the old warped window versus the dim fake wood cabinets where it used to be shoved under, and I like the morning blue green glow versus the yellow light of the dark back corner's lantern. The wooden cart has storage for easy access cooking, and I can swoon over my slaved for Le crueset stacked underneath. It seats hardly one. The thick butcher block on top is stained and carved from many meals, and picks up notes of beautiful wear instead of a cheap price tag at the resale shop in this light...which I was going to sand down for sanitary sake..but now I think of the mother/family/young couple it served and how many meals it assisted in. My teacups from past lives glimmer and the delicate designs on them can actually be seen here. I woke up excited to go use this new arrangement today. In my window box I see my little rose has new growth, and my yams an inch taller. The rain drizzles down the brick, and the crevices seem to be alive drinking up. Sometimes you need little things to get you excited and out of bed, a tiny rearrangement for you. You'll be way more fun at that dinner party, you might have one day // #lessons #livinginthenow #mentalhealth #present
