hey fellow lesbians, your lack of attraction to men is beautiful and doesn't need to be downplayed or ignored for the comfort of others. you're allowed to be proud of not being attracted to men!! a lack of attraction to men is a distinct, definitive and important part of lesbianism that is just as important as being attracted to women/sapphics is and it's more than okay to talk about it and find pride in it. figuring out that you're exclusively attracted to women/sapphics is extremely difficult for so many of us, and you deserve to love every part of yourself.
you're not being "exclusionary" or "small-minded" for being yourself, you don't have to "give men a chance" and anyone who says otherwise is a general homophobe and lesbophobe and their opinion means nothing. and if you dated or slept with men before realizing your identity, that doesn't make you ANY less of a lesbian. you are valued and welcomed here.
transfem lesbians, your attraction to sapphics AND your lack of attraction to men are beautiful. you are such an important part of the lesbian community and you are wonderful. i know we live in a world that bases so much of womanhood around involvement with men, and your lack of attraction to and involvement with men does not invalidate your womanhood (or whatever connection to womanhood/girlhood/sapphic identity/etc you have) in any way whatsoever. you do not have to be attracted to men in order to be a woman.
femme and other feminine lesbians, your femininity is wonderful and despite what misogynistic and lesbophobic society says, does not mean that you must be attracted to men. butch, stud, and other masc lesbians, our masculinity is wonderful and does not make us men or the lesbians attracted to us not valid and we are important in lesbianism.
fellow nonbinary lesbians, transmasc, transfem, transneutral, or otherwise, not being a woman or entirely a woman does not make us men, we don't "have" to have a sexuality other than lesbian/be attracted to all genders just because we're nonbinary, lesbians being attracted to us does not invalidate their sexuality because we are included in lesbianism, and our gender doesn't make us any less valid in our lesbianism.
lesbianism is so freeing and i love loving and fucking women and sapphics and dykes and i love not involving men in my romantic or sexual lives. i have so much love for my fellow lesbians, may you be able to celebrate every wonderful part of yourself ❤️
