The fabulous Indian architect Bijoy Jain
“Silence has a sound, we hear it resonating within us. This sound connects all living beings. It is the breath of life. It is synchronous in each of us. Silence, time and space are eternal, just like water, air and light, which are our elemental construct. This abundance of sensory phenomena, dreams, memory, imagination, emotions and intuition comes from this reservoir of experiences, anchored in the corners of our eyes, in the soles of our feet, in the lobe of our ears, in the timbre of our voice, in the murmur of our breath and in the palms of our hands.”

Anuradha Thakur
Painter, india
ary artist known for her brightly-coloured compositions depicting indigenous communities. Born in 1960 in Maharashtra, Thakur worked as a social worker for over 20 years before pursuing a career in the arts. She received her training in art from the Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya in Pune.
Thakur’s paintings are inspired by the customs and lives of indigenous communities in India. Regional festivals, dance and music ceremonies, and scenes from everyday life are common themes in her work. A notable characteristic of her paintings is the distinctive use of colours. While the faces and figures in her compositions are painted in black, she uses a starkly contrasting multicoloured palette for the background and details. According to her, her choice of colours is an attempt to signify the liveliness, joy and peacefulness of rural life.
The artist currently lives and works in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra.

Nick Cave & Warren Ellis - We Are Not Alone (La Panthère des Neiges)
Untouched natural landscapes of unique beauty can be found in the remote valleys of the Tibetan highlands. Filmmaker Marie Amiguet accompanies renowned nature photographer Vincent Munier and writer Sylvain Tesson on an adventurous journey in search of the snow leopard, a wild animal that very rarely reveals itself to mankind. The unusual journey of these two sympathetic oddballs becomes a contemplative ode to that sublime wilderness which, like the majestic snow cat, is in danger of disappearing. The score by Warren Ellis and Nick Cave compliments Amiguet's documentary, making it a sensory and decelerating experience. X

My beloved Tibet .
