I would love some specific feedback for question number two. It talks about an experience where we collaborate with peers to complete a writing project. I did end up answering this by talking about a writing project that I complete in my specific major classes, which is also a great representation of what my future career will look like. do you think that that is appropriate? Or is this question specifically asking to answer it based on the writing project we have completed in just this course. Because of the professors emphasis on using these skills in our future career I wanted to include that in this specific question especially so I would love to hear what my peers are doing to answer this question specifically. I think what you wrote was appropriate because if she did want us to base it off the writing project she would have added it into the question. I am also writing about my collaborative writing experience outside of this class.

Peer feedback: where can we help? 

I am unsure where to begin for the final assignment. One idea I have is to lay it out as an interview. In my previous post, I mentioned how the instructions I saw said that it’s an essay but shouldn’t be in an essay format. A simple way I was going to go about this was to insert the questions in subheadings, answer the question, and so on. I think this would follow the criteria and would not be in an essay format. Would this be okay to do? Or should it be more formal?

My question was similar to you, I decided for myself to keep it where you insert the questions in subheadings, because it does say to not make it essay format. I think she is more interested in making sure the question is answered than the format.

What are you most proud of with your writing process? 

I’m most proud of my ability to stay organized and adaptable throughout my writing process. I’ve developed a structured approach that helps me break down complex tasks into manageable steps, from brainstorming and outlining to drafting and revising. I’m also proud of my willingness to embrace feedback and make meaningful revisions, seeing it as an opportunity to grow.

What do you like most about your learning?

What I like most about my learning is the sense of growth and discovery that comes with each step forward. The process of learning allows me to refine my skills, challenge my perspectives, and explore areas I might not have considered before. I also appreciate the ability to share what I've learned, it is one of the reasons why I am becoming a special education teacher.

Share an example of your favorite television show or movie - how does that show/movie help you work through this project and understand angry fandom?

The anger from its fandom stems from that sense of being left in the air—when you're deeply invested in a mystery and then denied closure. The anger isn’t just about the cancellation—it’s about the emotional bond and the feeling that you’ve been denied something meaningful. Having that Favorite show makes you know how to feel if that show gets canceled.

Share an example of your experience as a fan of a show that was cancelled.

The I-Land was a great show. The show started with a group of people waking up on a mysterious island with no memory of who they are. But just when the mysteries began to unfold, Netflix pulled the plug after only one season. The finale left so many questions unanswered—what was real? Who could we trust? The cancellation felt horrible. A true "what could have been" moment.

Explain the appeal of long podcasts (20+ minutes), why do audiences listen? How do the creators make choices to engage the audience?

Audiences listen because, unlike shorter formats, podcasts don’t rush through topics. Making them good for complex narratives or discussions, creating a space for thoughtful exploration. Creators can engage the audience more by the podcast host maintaining a conversational tone, sharing personal stories or opinions that make the content feel genuine.

Explain the appeal of long youtube videos (10+ minutes), why do viewers watch? How do the creators make choices to engage the audience?

Viewers watch for 10+ minutes because longer videos allow creators to explore topics in detail, giving more value through reviews, storytelling, or educational content. Viewers seeking in-depth knowledge, behind-the-scenes insights, or a deeper connection with the creator appreciate the richer experience. So that the audience stay engaged the creators ask questions and/or include callouts that make viewers feel involved. This increases retention and encourages engagement.

Write a style rule for creating an Instagram reel - why is this key for the Instagram followers to view the content?

A good rule will be to grab the viewers attention quickly. With most people scrolling quickly, the first 3 seconds determine whether they'll continue watching or move on. A strong opening hooks people emotionally and/or visually, signaling that the content is worth their time. For example, you can use visuals like close-ups, quick transitions, or a caption like "Is this the best burger in NYC?".

Q:post a tip or trick you are offering in your guide that is useful to all of us! 

A: One of the smartest things you can do with your content is to repurpose it. Instead of constantly creating new stuff, look at what you've already put out there and find ways to give it new life. For example, if you wrote a long blog post that got a lot of attention, why not break it up into smaller, more digestible pieces? You could pull out quotes or key takeaways for social media, or even turn it into a video or podcast. This way, you're not reinventing the wheel every time you want to share something new.

I love the slide, the background colors are perfect. They are not too vibrant, they are more subtle. I also like how you included the pictures, its great for people that need visual.
