Seriously, for Byakuya, this week's chapter contained THE best WTF-faces I've seen during the entire manga. The entire manga. Because honestly, his chisel-chinned, wide-eyed, and generally-too-pretty faces looked too freaking sexy and entrancing to deliver emotion of terror or surprise properly to the audience.

But ones this week? He's still hot, but...

Even the ever-so-stoic Captain Kuchiki's freaking out.

Yachiru, who had been immersed in rare moments of quietness at her playpenoffice, suddenly shot up 6 feet into the air, “AHHHHH! I just remembered something! How could I have not thought of it before?”

“Our Shinigamis’ play dates with Arrowheads will start again tomorrow! I wonder who Ken-chan is paired up with… I hope he has fun!”

“But I still can’t feel Izurun’s reiatsu…” she sat back down and started tapping her foot against the wooden floorboard.

She finally stopped tapping her foot, stood up again, walked up to a wall, crossed her arms and leaned against the scratchy wallpaper. She looked out the window, twinkling candlelights bright in near pitch-darkness of the night,

“I wonder if Hisa-Hisa knows about Izurun yet… They loved to play with each other…”

After few more seconds of pondering dark thoughts, she snapped up as if electrocuted and blinked furiously at nothing in particular.

“AHHHHHHH!” she squeaked and ran around in a tight circle, fidgetiness getting the best of her,

“SINCE WHEN do I think like that?! Of COURSE we’ll win! As long as Ken-chan’s fighting, we will WIN! Everything will be all right!”

She gave another frustrated yelp, then ran straight to her already-prepared futon and dived head-first into the fluffy pale-yellow pillow.

Of COURSE I want Byaku-kun to win... I'm too attached to let go of him yet, NOOOO--- unless Kubo-sensei gives him THE best death scene yet but next to Ulquiorra's it'll be hard to do

On more of a brighter(depends on your definition of positivity, I guess) note, I'd actually love to see screaming!Byakuya. And when I say screaming, I mean SCREEEEEAMING his head off. Like other victims of that Quincy's spikes.

Captain Kuchiki hasn't lost his complete cool yet - he was still composed when he was versing Tsukishima.

Let's see if this arc his temperamental inner beast lashes out. He was prone to bitch fits as a child! That impulsiveness must be in there still >.>!
