You ran as fast as your stupid legs could go, but still—you weren't quick enough. Not when Cassandra is right on your tail. Not when your life is in her hands.
You turned a corner, hoping, praying that you'll lose the brunette. But luck wasn't on your side now, was it? It never was.
"Dead end..." You breathed, your heart pounding fast like a rabbit after a chase. Your ears were ringing, you were tired. And Cassandra? She noticed, of course she noticed. "Tired?" She cooed, mocking.
Your legs trembled as your breaths came out in short gasps, your throat felt tight and your lungs were burning. Your body begged for a moment of rest, but can you truly rest when the predator is so close? You could practically smell her—blood, ashes and something much more darker, something ancient like a being that should have never been awoken, she smelled forbidden. A curse on the earth itself.
She was death incarnate.
She drawed closer, and closer, and closer...until—
THUD!
Seems like luck wasn't on her side either when she tripped on a stray sickle, possibly Daniela's. The brunette face planted into the old worn out carpet with a grunt, her sickle falling from her hands with a loud clank.
Your lips pressed into a thin line to stop the laughter from bursting out. But you were too late. You pointed at her and cackled loudly, your face red from laughing before darting away when she lifted her head just enough to send a sharp glare at you. Of course, you just HAD to step on her hand mid-run, it was funny, okay!?
I've had a fanfic I really enjoyed made into a physical book before, and I am happy to say I got a lot better at formatting and chose a better printer... printing provider? Whatever the name is.
The cover and back are unfortunately not completely centered because I didnt account for the inclines 🫠 But it's fiiiine, I can pretend like it's one of those 'rare misprinted edition' type of things (I could have had them quality control but that shit is expensive, so I'd rather take my chances)
Looking forward to add more fanfics to my collection! ...Once they're done. Hopefully ;w;

Thank you sm for this fic, there is not enough of our queen Donna. I'm also very nitpicky when it comes to fics, and I'm happy to say that yours is hitting all the spots I need (especially the slow burn :3). I also really appreciate how you include other characters and their relationships, not just Donna. It feels way sweeter and more genuine that way.
So anyway, your piece of work made me come out of my hiatus shell. It 's really hard for me to go back to drawing after my art school made me kind of hate it? :/
