(One moment, each of the girls were minding their own business, Alani was studying, and Alex and Alissa were doing their jobs as normal. The next moment, all three are somehow outside of a building. They seemed to be in Kalos....at least that's what they thought.)

"WHAT THE HELL!? ALANI?! ALISSA!? WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING HERE!? WHAT HAPPENED!?" - @3rd-augur-of-torren

Alani sighed, "Good to see you too, Alex. Now can you be a tad bit more quiet? People could hear you!" - @alani-holmes

"Agreed, though maybe this place could give us some answers," Alissa motioned to the building in front of the three of them. - @offical-kalosian-champion

(//HAHA YOU FOOL, YOU GET ALL THREE OF THEM AT ONCE/silly.)

The building was tall, and rather old looking. Tall, as in tall. To the west of it, appeared to be a chateau. Or a mansion, whatever it’s called. Connected to the right of it, appeared to be something resembling a church.

There was a short staircase and a platform up to the entrance. There were two male Pyroar standing by the doors into the building. They almost instantly noticed the three, and started roaring and yowling, as if they were some kind of alarm system.

"See Alex! Now we're gonna be found out!" Alissa yelled out. She sighed before taking out one of her Pokéballs and letting out a Shiny Umbreon. The Umbreon immediately went on the offensive after having seen the Pyroar.

Alex not wanting her sister to face the opponent alone lets out a Shiny Alpha Glaceon. The Glaceon went to stand next to the Umbreon, and got ready to attack, but both Pokémon decided to wait until their trainers gave them the command to attack.

Alani just stepped back, not wanting to engage in this battle.

The doors opened. There was this rather short man who stepped out, with blonde hair, pink eyes, and a teal suit. His Sylveon trailed behind him curiously. The Sylveon seemed to light up at the sight of the Glaceon and Umbreon, and clearly wanted to approach, but held back.

❝ Oh, lord… again? ❞ he mumbled to himself, before looking up at them. ❝ Uhm… ah, hello..? Are you guys… trespassing on purpose, or…? I’m assuming this is just like the last one… ❞

He glanced back at the two Pyroar. ❝ Please… do ignore our alarm system… ❞

Before Alex or Alissa could even respond, Alani stepped in front of them. She held her hands in the air, trying to show that at least she meant no harm.

"No, we have no idea on how we arrived here sir. We're really sorry if we're trespassing on private property, and do forgive my....friends, they were just startled by your Pyroar."

The Umbreon and the Glaceon just stared at the Sylveon infront of them.

❝ Well… at least … you aren’t sinister… ❞ he mumbled to himself, glancing back inside. ❝ Do you want to… ah, maybe come inside as you… try and figure out a way to get back? ❞

The Sylveon proudly strutted up to the Umbreon and Glaceon. The man sighed, and mumbled ❝ … Duke… get back here… ❞ but the Sylveon failed to listen.

Alani looked back at her sisters then back at the mysterious man, "Sure!" For her safety, she let out her own Sylveon, a shiny one as well. The Shiny Sylveon immediately went to stand in front of Duke, glaring at it.

"Nymphia, cut it out," Alani demanded.

Nymphia looked upset but went to his trainer, wrapping on of his ribbons around Alani's wrist. The Umbreon and Glaceon followed suit as they both returned to their trainers as well. Alissa and Alex looked at each other then back towards the building. All three alongside their eeveelutions decided to head inside.

❝ it’s pretty cool that… uhm, that you all have… eeveelutions… nevermind… ❞ he mumbled awkwardly, sitting at his desk. ❝ there’s a… uhm, a landline here, if you… wanna call anyone.. ❞ he said, and fixed his glasses.

The sound of heels clacked down the hall. A tall, blonde woman in a tight iridescent silk dress burst through two doors that were beside the desk, with an armful of paperwork, an Incineroar following behind her. ❝ Secretary! ❞ she called out. ❝ I need these done! Now. Before seven PM, ❞ she said firmly, patting him roughly on the head. She turned, glanced at the three, and smiled.

❝ Ah, new recruits. You’re finally doing something right, hm, Secretary? ❞ she said demeaningly, and addressed the three. ❝ Do ignore if it’s a bit… dumb. ❞ She said, gesturing to the man. ❝ You can place the blame on the Lord and his Malamar. Toodles! ❞ she strutted off quickly, clearly busy.

Alissa seemed confused about all of this, "What– no, we're just looking for directions," She turned to face the secretary, "–Did she just call you "it" like you're some sort of object?"

Alani seemed very concerned by this as well. Alex however, didn't seem to understand what was going on. Her Glaceon seemed to notice what was up. The Glaceon went up to Alani, and bended both of his ears down. Alani immediately understood what was happening and walked up to Alex.

"Alex? Can you hear me?"

Alex looked the girl with confusion, "WHAT!? I CAN'T HEAR YOU–"

Alani made a shushing motion to Alex and then turned to Alissa, "Yeah, no I think her hearing aids are dead."

"Seriously?! Now of all times?! Ugh," Alissa looked at the secretary, "Sorry about my friend being so loud, she's deaf."

❝ Ah… yeah, I… I am kind of an object, at least to her and the Lord. And Regent Zethes… especially Zethes… ❞

He looked oddly nervous and timid.

❝ She’s… uhm… her hearing aids are dead? I… do they… need to be charged, or something? Or do they have… like… batteries? I don’t… sorry, I know much about that stuff, sorry… ❞

"No one should treat you like that! You're human just like anyone else! Okay, can we know your name? We can't keep on calling you "the secretary" especially since how these people treat you." Alissa asks. She seems to be very upset about the treat him.

Alani explained, "Well, I think her hearing aids can be recharged. Do you think you have anything that could recharge them? Oh also, thanks! Our eeveelutions were a present by someone close!"

❝ Ah!… we.. well, there’s an outlet just behind the desk here… and i’m pretty sure we have chargers in the storage, if you don’t have one… ❞ he declared, standing up from his chair.

❝ My name? ❞ he seemed almost surprised that they wanted to know his name. ❝ Alistair! Spencer! —Alistair Spencer. Alistair spelt A-L-I-S-T-A-I-R. People get it wrong a lot… to half of Elysium, I’m Alastor, and the other half, I’m Allistar…That’s… uhm, that’s my name. But I’m used to being called Secretary, so I don’t mind if you can’t remember it… ❞

"Alistair Spencer huh? Cool name!" Alissa chuckled a bit, "Yeah I get that, a lot of people spell my name with a Y instead of an I. Well, you know Alex's name, might as well tell you ours. I'm Alissa, and the short one is Alani–"

"HEY!! I AM NOT THAT SHORT!!" Alani exclaimed, she wasn't that short compared to most girl's her age, if anything she was taller than most of them. However, she was still a couple of inches shorter than her sisters.

"Anyway–" Alissa completely ignored Alani's remark, "Could we please borrow a charge for my friend here?"

❝ The short one…? you… all are mighty tall… ❞ Alistair mumbled, standing up. ❝ Yes! I’ll… go get a charger… please wait here… ❞

He hurried off into a hallway, returning a few minutes later with a charger. ❝ I… I got a… USB-C, but… I hope that works… ❞ he mumbles, handing the charger to Alissa.

❝ There’s a… uhm, an outlet by the couch to your left, ❞ he said, pointing to a large black linen couch. ❝ But, there’s also one behind this desk… uhm, do what you want… ❞

"Oh, thanks!" Alissa took the charger out of Alistair's hands and walked up to Alex. She took off both of Alex's hearing aids, which somewhat shocked her because she wasn't expecting Alissa to do that. Alissa then pointed to the hearing aids and held her hand out.

"Huh!? You mean the case?! Here!" Alex exclaimed as she handed Alissa a black, small case meant for her hearing aids. She placed the hearing aids inside the case and went behind the desk where she plugged in the case with the cable.

Alissa sighed, "And now we wait."

Alistair nervously checked the clock.

❝ Do you… have any questions while you wait..? ❞ he asked nervously. His Sylveon sat beside his feet and attempted to calm him down, which only worked for about half of a minute.

[alani-holmes]

"Yeah, can you explain where we are?" Alani asked, Nymphia glared at the other Sylveon as if threatening them. Though, he got distracted, as Alani decided to pet him.

Alex just stood their awkwardly in the corner, trying to understand why they were saying by reading their lips.

Alistair turned a shade of pink. ❝ Ah! Uhm… sorry. You’re in the Church of Elysium Paradise for the Equal Persons official headquarters. We’re a couple kilometres outside of Lumiose City. We’re on the… the de Lys estate. ❞

He nervously looked at the clock again, his Sylveon’s efforts to calm him down doing little to nothing.

❝ I’m… sorry, I’m a little dumb… I should’ve told you that, first thing… ❞

"De Lys, huh.... " Alissa frowned at that, "You're a church? I've certainly have never heard it." This was a bit suspicious, the dehumanizing plus the fact this place was religious wasn't a good sign, but Alissa couldn't be sure yet.

"Hey! You're not dumb! The people who treat you like you're nothing are the dumb ones!!" Alani exclaimed. Nymphia stopped glaring at Alistair's Sylveon and walked up to the man, rubbing himself against his leg.

❝ Ah.. well, we’re more-so an organization than a church… ❞ he mumbled, cracking his knuckles nervously.

❝ Dumb? You can’t call them dumb. You’ll get in a lot of trouble if you talk down to them. Especially Lady Ka’iulani… ❞

He noticed Nymphia rubbing up against his leg. He didn’t say anything, but he exhaled. He calmed down for a split second, before glancing back up at the clock.

❝ Do you… have any other questions? ❞

[alani-holmes]

"Well, they aren't in charge of us, so we can speak out mind!! If they want me to not call them dumb they should treat you better!!!" Alani clenched her fists as she spoke. She was clearly upset about this.

Alissa thought about it for a moment then spoke, "Is there anyone else who is treated like how you are?"

❝ No, you don’t get it. If they hear you calling them dumb to me… uhm, I— I’ll get in trouble. Lots of trouble. And I… gosh. ❞

This time, he looked away from the clock, as if hoping that keeping it out of sight would also keep it out of mind.

❝ The other Secretaries at the other Offices are also… relatively treated as objects, but… uhm… with all the Regents in this building, I… I think I probably have it the worst..? ❞

[alani-holmes]

"That has to be illegal....fine, I won't. Just so that you don't get in trouble," Alani tried to calm herself down a bit, "What does your organization do–"

"Alani– I think Alex disappeared," Alissa interrupted whilst looking for where her sister went.

"What. Oh Shoot."

❝ Disappeared? Disappeared? Like… wandered off? Oh, gosh. Oh, there are a lot of off-limit places in this building to non-members… Like… like Zethes’s floor… and… and all the other floors, but especially Zethes’s… the chateau on the estate is off-limits, too… and the sanctuary— the church part, that is. With the pews and the altar… And the storage room, and the cellar, and… oh, no.. ❞

Alistair began pacing. He looked like he was sure the higher ups would put him down.

[alani-holmes]

"Okay....the good news is that no one will probably be able to find her, so you shouldn't get in trouble. The bad news is that we won't be able to find her either unless she reveals herself," Alani looked worried. She didn't want to explain exactly what Alex could do to a stranger, even if he seemed nice.

❝ What do you mean until she reveals herself?! Regent Zethes and Regent Shiryu are due to return in 10 minutes, we can’t have a person just… walking around… oh, oh lord, oh lord, oh lord, oh lord… ❞

He leaned against his desk and buried his head in his hands.

[alani-holmes]

"She's walking around but, um, how do I say this?" Alani tried to think of a way to get Alistair to calm down without jeopardizing Alex's safety, "No one can see her unless you just happen to have ghost types lingering around this place."

Alissa was pacing in circles but then stopped as she realized something, "..wait, is Glaciere still here?"

She turned around to see that Alex's Glaceon was still there, "Oh good, Glaciere is still here. Do you know where Alex went?" Alissa asked the Fresh Snow Pokémon.

Glaciere just motioned downwards with his nose.

Alissa pinched the bridge of her nose, "...Great. She's down there."

❝ unless we have Ghost types wandering—? ❞ he paused, thinking to himself. ❝ well… I— uhm… I have a Chandelure, but, I don’t… I don’t let it wander… I’m not allowed to have any Pokémon out aside from… ah, aside from Duke…— my Sylveon, that is… ❞

❝ Regent Shiryu could have taken Giratina with them… but… ah, I can’t be certain… they don’t, often… and that creature loves to meander… ❞

He paused. ❝ Down there? Like.. ah, in the ground or… or in the cellar? ❞

"I'm sorry, a Giratina?! What– How!?" Alissa looked completely baffled at that. How did these people get a Giratina!? That shouldn't be possible, right?! Then again Alex did say that she fought most legendaries before, so maybe someone having the literal deity of distortion and anti-matter wasn't too far-fetched.

Alissa sighed, guess she was going to have to explain what Alex could do after all, "Neither. My friend can Shadow Travel. Anything that has a shadow, she can travel between. No one can see her while she's doing that which is why I said that she probably won't be found unless she herself chooses resurface or it has been an hour and she is forced out due to how exhausting shadow travel can be, or at least that's what Alex told us."

[elysitidel]

❝ yes, Regent Shiryu has Giratina… ah, well.. they have for a while, they just haven’t told me why or how. ❞

❝ Shadow Travel…? That’s… unusual… and not the best idea, here… ❞

❝ w… well, we have about… five minutes until Regent Zethes and Regent Shiryu return… ❞ Alistair said, sighing shakily. ❝ Is there… any way to get her out… of that… like, ah… as quick as possible? ❞

"Unfortunately, unless she sees us panicking, which I doubt since she's most likely in another room, I don't think we can...the best we can hope for is that she pops up soon," Alissa sighed.

Alani intervened, "Maybe Alistair could look for Alex while me and Alissa distract these Regents? By you sometime so you don't get in trouble?"

Alistair nodded— anything to get away from Regent Zethes.

❝ Ah… alright! I’ll… go look… ❞

He darted off. The first place he looked inside was the storage room, which was usually pretty dim. He didn’t quite know what he was looking for, but he heard “look panicked” from the girl, and he was usually pretty good at that. ❝ Please… Dear skies, come on, come on… don’t make me check that cellar… ❞

It didn’t take long for the front doors of the building to swing open, revealing one rather average height person with long black-purple hair, a black suit blazer, and a Sinnohian ankle-length skirt. Their most prominent feature was probably the strange gold crown-like accessory on their head, that seemed to intentionally resemble the crest part on Giratina’s head.

Beside them, was this tall, beefy monster of a guy with long, wiry dusty yellow hair, a plain white and grey coat, and grey pants. He was probably around 6’10, and his most prominent feature were these giant clusters of ice consuming a portion of his face and a majority of his right arm.

He zeroed in on the two— Alissa and Alani— and beelined for them. ❝ YOU. Who are YOU. I haven’t seen YOU around here. OR you. ❞ he asked, jabbing them both in the shoulder with his finger.

The shorter Regent merely watched them.

"Ah, I'm Alani, and this is my friend Alissa! We heard about the...Church of Elysium Paradise for the Equal Persons official headquarters, and thought it was interesting so we decided to check it out!" Alani lied, though she tried to be convincing.

Alissa tried to play along, "Yeah! We don't really see churches often, so we thought we could come inside and ask what you guys believe."

Alex seemed not to be in the storage area.

❝ you smell like BULLSHIT, ❞ Declared the boy. He balled up his ice-free fist and got in a stance, before the other Regent stopped him. ❝ I HATE WOMEN, ESPECIALLY THE ONES THAT LIE! ❞

❝ Regent Zethes Harmonia Gropius, don’t make us sedate you again. You are a pain to carry up the stairs. ❞ demanded the person, and Regent Zethes reluctantly released his fist.

❝ I do apologize for Regent Zethes’s erratic behaviour; he is a hybrid, crossed with Kyurem’s DNA. I am Regent Shiryu. ❞

❝ Where the FUCK is that Secretary? I wanna choke something out SO BAD RIGHT NOW! ❞ interrupted Regent Zethes.

Alistair’s anxiety grew with every passing minute. He could hear Regent Zethes’s screaming from the entrance. The next place he checked was the Battle Stadium. There weren’t many shadows in here, no, but… the dark corners were worth checking… right?

Alani tensed up, it looked like she wanted to cry. Alissa tried to calm her down, but Alani just ignored her.

Alissa tried to deescalate the situation, "No, no we're not lying! We're genuinely interested. I haven't seen any Secretary around here, sorry about that." She waved her gloved hands as she hands as she talked, as if trying to wave away the situation.

Alex wasn't there either.

❝ Again, my apologies, he has… issues, with his anger… ❞ said Shiryu.

Regent Zethes looked like he was about to explode. ❝ When I find that Secretary, I’ll SHOW HIM. I’LL MAKE SURE HE WON’T HAVE HANDS TO CALL FOR HELP! AND THEN I’LL RIP HIS HEAD OFF HIS SHOULDERS! ❞

Shiryu sighed, and shook their head. ❝ I would feel bad for it, but I don’t… ❞ they mumbled, as they sent some kind of message on a communicator.

Alistair sighed, and ducked out of the Stadium. He nervously trotted up to the doors to the church (the totally not evil indoctrination room), and opened only one of the double doors. ❝ Please, just be in here… ❞ he mumbled, half to himself, before entering.

The smell of old books filled his nose— likely from the two large, staggering bookshelves. He looked through the dim pews and altar, including the ever-strange dark red throne upon the altar.

"It's alright!" Alissa thought this was in fact, not alright. She thought these people were insane, and this was coming from the person who ruthlessly murdered all of Team Flare! She just had to ope Alistair found Alex soon.

Alex was reading one of the books from one of the two bookshelves when she saw Alistair enter. Alex waved hi and continued to read. She thought the book and the place itself was pretty weird, maybe this place was a cult after all.

Regent Shiryu nodded, while Regent Zethes silently fumed. Well— less than silently, he was snarling, like some Mightyena.

Alistair sighed a huge sigh of relief, before grabbing Alex and leading her out. He looked like he was about to sob. ❝ Oh, thank the Lord I found you… ❞

He quickly led— more-so frantically dragged her —to the entrance. ❝ I— I found her! ❞ Alistair yelped.

Alani and Alissa turned to see Alistair drag Alex to the front. They looked scared for Alistair after hearing the threats towards him.

"Heyyy...looks like you're back!" Alani spoke with both fear and happiness in her voice.

Glaciere walked up to his trainer and barked at her for leaving the group. Although Alex couldn't hear him, she saw that he was upset.

"What else was I suppose to do!?" Alex exclaimed pretty loudly.

Alistair smiled, but that smile was short-lived. Regent Zethes almost instantly noticed his presence in the doorway, and charged at him, screaming;

❝ SECRETARY! FINALLY! SECRETARY! SECRETARY! ❞

Alistair let out a shrill scream and ran down the hall— or tried to, since Zethes almost instantly tackled him.

Shiryu merely watched.

Alissa and Alex just watched, Alissa because she didn't want to get involved and Alex because she didn't understand what was happening. Alani however quickly got even more upset.

"Nymphia!! Get him off of Alistair!!"

The Sylveon let go of Alani and ran at Zethes. He grabbed the Regent with his ribbons hoping to pull him off of Alistair.

Alistair’s own Sylveon, Duke, popped up and aided Nymphia in pulling Regent Zethes off Alistair.

Regent Zethes was gradually pulled off of Alistair, foaming at the mouth, his arms still outstretched towards Alistair’s throat. ❝ SECRETARY! ❞

Alistair got up on his knees, wheezing and coughing, tears pricking his eyes, and his pupils strangely blown, the colour quickly returning to his face. ❝ gyhhk.. shit… ❞

Shiryu sighed and quietly walked off to the storage room.

Alani rushed over to Alistair, "Are you alright! Here let me help you up..."

Alani tried to help Alistair up on his feet. Nymphia was still holding on to Zethes. He looked like he'd go and attack the Regent at any minute. Alissa's eyes followed Shiryu as they went into the storage room.

Alistair breathed and gasped, letting Alani help him up. ❝ Yeah… I’m great. Just… startled me… ❞

Regent Shiryu returned from the storage room with a small syringe. They jabbed it into Regent Zethes’s arm, injected it, pulled it out, and tossed the used needle at Alistair, before walking off with Regent Zethes.

Alistair just barely caught the needle, before sighing with relief, watching Zethes be led off.

Nymphia walked back to his trainer. Alani is still in shock at what happened, "...Does that happen, often?"

Alex was reading her book since she had nothing else to do, and Alissa was making sure Alex didn't wander off again. The other shiny eeveelutions were playing with eachother.

❝ Yeah… ❞ Alistair mumbled awkwardly. ❝ I’m… a bit of a punching bag, to him… ❞

❝ … … do you guys still want those directions home? ❞

Alani thought about it. No one had recognized Alissa, which was strange seeing how they were in Kalos. Maybe this is some weird alternate universe!? Maybe?

"....depends if you know where the nearest Hoopa is..."

❝ Ah! Uhm… Lord Renelus has a Hoopa… ❞ Alistair said, shuffling his feet awkwardly. ❝ Would … would you like me to fetch it from his office? ❞

"OH YES! That would be super helpful! Please!" Alani looked excited at the prospect that they could go home. This place was very creepy, and she wanted to leave. Alani was still a bit startled from being yelled at earlier though Nymphia was trying to calm her down.

Alistair nodded, and walked off. He seemed a little lot in pain— likely from Zethes’s tackling and then strangling him, but…

…

About 8 minutes later, Alistair returned with a Luxury Ball. He seemed rather tired, but released the Hoopa.

❝ you can… command it what to do… where to take you, I… I mean. I’m… rather unfamiliar with these creatures… ❞

❝ I have… uhm… this paperwork to get to… ❞ he said, glancing at the barely touched paperwork Lady Ka’iulani had dropped off on his desk, the while before.
