Someone was trying so hard to disprove byler on TikTok so I’m just gonna share my response here and tell you guys if I ever get a response or if my comment got deleted

Mike literally said that he was gonna send her back to pennhurst after she helps them find will, and only kept her for that reason (in the beginning) the ily confession was recycled from wills speech, and if it fixed their relationship, why didn’t el not talk to Mike like at all after it? He doesn’t ignore the “core theme” he has a big heart obviously he cares about the people closest to him? Just like how he cared about Will in s2? How he literally lied to el saying that the best day of his life was when he met her even tho he literally only cared about her finding Will, and told Will in s2 that Will saying yes to mike being his friend when they were 5 was the best thing that every happened to him. Their relationship “maturing and not dissolving” could also literally mean that they matured and realized they aren’t a good pair and decided to stay friends because they DO care about each other. And how would it be fan service if Will and mike get together when they literally said something will finally go good for him, and making one of our few lgbtq characters love interest that has been hinted at in the beginning just not happen and Will is just lonely at the end? The conflict of el and mike in s4 would not be pointless seeing that if they mature and have them realize they work well as friends? and if byler doesn’t happen mike is just a poorly written character who’s not a great friend. And how would it help Will to “self accept” that he won’t get Mike? he already felt that way in s4 and he wasn’t happy at all. El on the other hand has been her happiest when she wasn’t with Mike and she was with her friend. and Mike never went after el when she broke up with him? Literally stayed home eating and complaining instead of trying to apologize and acknowledge what he did was wrong, on the other hand with will later that day when Will stormed off because Mike was being a jerk, Mike made Lucas go with him across town in the pouring rain to apologize and own up to his mistakes, and in s4 when he was fighting with el he didn’t own up to his mistakes he literally blamed other people. The end of each episode did not return to mileven? And in s1 yes they said bye to each other and she sacrificed herself for ALL of them? Not just Mike. s2 im not gonna get into that if you’re gonna continue calling us delusional but sure they kiss at the end woo hoo. s3 was horrific but sure they made up, s4 Mike just lied to her and she didn’t talk to him and it was literally the finale? And yes they were really close who wouldn’t be depressed if they watched someone they really care for just “die”, yes mike never stopped waiting for el when she might’ve died (except for the few days that he was at wills comforting him) but he also never stopped trying to find will even after he saw the body. if Will actually would have died Mike would’ve also been depressed, whether he loves will like that or not? So not sure why that’s your argument for mileven. And not saying this makes it canon but noah and millie have both said they ship byler? Noah can say stuff like that more than Finn because Will is canonically gay,, Mike is not yet, there is a whole other season that will determine that.

And yes they were really close who wouldn’t be depressed if they watched someone they really care for just “die”, yes mike never stopped waiting for el when she might’ve died (except for the few days that he was at wills comforting him) but he also never stopped trying to find will even after he saw the body. if Will actually would have died Mike would’ve also been depressed, whether he loves will like that or not? So not sure why that’s your argument for mileven. And not saying this makes it canon but noah and millie have both said they ship byler? Noah can say stuff like that more than Finn because Will is canonically gay,, Mike is not yet, there is a whole other season that will determine that.
