In a city controlled by crime, Alexia Putellas runs her empire with cold precision. When an outsider accidentally witnesses something they shouldn't, she spares their life and pulls them deep into her world, where trust is dangerous, loyalty is enforced, and nothing under her command is ever truly a choice.

Notes at the end <3
Y/n remained sprawled across the bonnet with one hand gripping the edge of the car while the other hovered uselessly near her mouth for considerably longer than five minutes. Not because she wanted to annoy Alexia any further, although that was tempting, but because her legs still shook lightly.
Her lips tingled, a constant reminder of what happened. Alexia Putellas had kissed her, not once but twice. Alexia had kissed her like she had been holding herself back for too long and finally snapped. Y/n let her head fall back against the bonnet.
She had spent the last two days trying to get a reaction out of Alexia, proof that she was jealous and that beneath all the control there was something less disciplined, something human. But she hadn't properly considered what would happen if she found it.
“Fuck”, Y/n sighed.
The quiet words echoed through the empty garage, and after a couple more minutes, she dragged herself upright slowly. Her legs still felt unsteady when her shoes touched the floor, forcing her to sit back on the bonnet.
Just then, the garage door opened, revealing Misa standing in the doorway. Her eyes moved over Y/n’s flushed face, her rumpled shirt and her messy hair.
Y/n pointed at her, “Don’t”.
“I didn’t say anything”.
“You were thinking loudly”.
Misa pushed off the wall and entered the garage. “You were told five minutes, no?”
“How long has it been?”
“Eight”.
“Shit”.
Misa didn't reply, but just held out a hand. Y/n stared at it, then looked at Misa.
“I can get down myself”.
“Then do it”.
Y/n slid from the bonnet as her knees gave way, causing Misa to catch her arm.
Y/n straightened immediately. “That was the floor”.
“The floor moved?”
“Slightly”.
“Of course”.
Misa released her grip on her arm while Y/n smoothed down her top. Misa watched her another moment.
“What?”
“Nothing”.
“Everyone in this building says nothing when they mean something”.
Misa turned toward the door. “Alexia is waiting”.
“Where?”
“Upstairs”.
“Be specific”.
“Her private office”.
Y/n stopped walking, causing Misa to look back.
Y/n’s stomach tightened. “Her private office?”
“Yes”.
“To continue our discussion”.
Misa’s eyes narrowed faintly. “She said that?”
“Exactly that”.
A pause.
Y/n studied her. “You look concerned”.
“I look normal” Misa looked at Y/n’s mouth again.
Y/n caught it. “Oh, absolutely not”.
Misa turned away. “I said nothing”.
“You were about to”.
“No”.
“You know, for someone who barely speaks, you are incredibly judgemental”.
Misa ignored that comment and continued into the corridor as Y/n followed behind. The hallway seemed longer than before as every guard they passed looked ahead, no one stared or reacted, which meant everyone already knew. Wonderful.
Y/n leaned closer to Misa, “Do people here have nothing more important to do than gossip?”
“They do not gossip”.
Just then, a guard passed them without making eye contact, his eyes finding interest in the floor.
Y/n waited until he was gone. “He knows”.
“He has eyes”.
“What exactly did he see?”
“Alexia leaving the garage”.
“That proves nothing”.
“You leaving eight minutes later, looking like that, proves more”.
Y/n pushed her hair back. “Like what?”
Misa pressed the lift button. “Disorganised”.
Y/n smiled. “That might be the nicest thing you’ve ever said to me”.
The lift opened, and as they both stepped inside, Y/n looked at her reflection in the mirrored wall. Misa had been generous she looked wrecked, her hair had escaped around her face. Her cheeks were still pink. Y/n looked away from herself.
Misa noticed, “You should stop smiling”.
“I'm not smiling”.
“You are”.
“Maybe I'm happy with how I fixed the car”.
“You fix cars every day”.
“Not cars like that”.
Misa said nothing.
Y/n glanced at her. “What?”
“You should be careful”.
The humour left Y/n’s face in the short time she'd known Misa, she knew that she hardly softened her warnings. This one was different, not threatening, almost protective.
“Of Alexia?” Y/n asked.
Misa considered the question. “Of yourself”.
The lift continued upward while Y/n looked at the closed doors.
“That sounds dramatic”.
“It is not”.
“She kissed me, Misa. She did not declare war”.
“For Alexia, the difference may be smaller than you think”.
Y/n turned toward her, Misa’s expression remained serious.
“What does that mean?”
“It means Alexia does not do things halfway”.
“You seem to know an alarming amount about her personal life”.
“I know how she thinks”.
“And how does she think?”
Misa hesitated, “When Alexia wants something temporary, she keeps it temporary.”
The doors opened, Misa stepped out while Y/n stayed inside for a second.
“What does temporary usually look like?”
“Not this”.
The answer came too quickly.
Y/n caught up with her. “What does that mean?”
Misa did not answer.
“Misa”.
“She is waiting”.
“That was not my question”.
Misa stopped outside a large wooden door her hand settled on the handle. For the first time, something almost sympathetic entered her face.
“Alexia does not bring women here”.
Y/n’s pulse shifted. “She brought me here because I witnessed a crime”.
“She does not rearrange security for them”.
“Apparently I’m a threat”.
“She does not cancel meetings for them”.
Y/n blinked. “She cancelled meetings?”
Misa opened the door. “You have already kept her waiting”.
Then she stepped aside. Y/n stared at her, and Misa just stared back. Traitor. Y/n entered, and then the door closed behind her.
Alexia’s office was larger than Y/n expected, one wall was made almost entirely of glass, overlooking the city. The afternoon light had turned grey, clouds gathering over Barcelona again. A desk sat near the windows, shelves lined the opposite wall, holding books, and several objects Y/n suspected were far more valuable than they looked.
Alexia was standing with her back to the door, her suit jacket was removed and resting over the back of her chair. Her sleeves were rolled neatly to her elbows, leaving her arms on full display. Y/n hadn't seen her like that, not relaxed as she wasn't sure if Alexia Putellas even knew how to relax, but less armoured. She was reading something on a tablet or pretending to.
Y/n remained near the door. “You wanted to continue our discussion”.
Alexia did not turn. “You are late”.
“By three minutes”.
“Four”.
“Were you timing me?”
“Yes”.
Y/n smiled despite herself. “Of course you were”.
Alexia placed the tablet down on her desk before turning around, her eyes moved over Y/n, taking in every detail. Her expression remained controlled, but her gaze darkened slightly when it reached Y/n’s mouth.
Alexia walked around the desk. “You disobey simple instructions”.
“I was recovering”.
“From what?”
Y/n stared at her. Alexia’s mouth curved faintly into a smirk, which irritated Y/n, and her first instinct was to look at Alexia’s lips.
Y/n muttered, “You know what”.
“I want to hear you say it”.
There it was, that quiet demand.
Y/n folded her arms. “You kissed me”.
“Yes”.
“Twice”.
“Yes”.
“On a car”.
Alexia’s eyes held hers. “You are very observant”.
Y/n exhaled. “You cannot kiss someone like that and then summon them to your office as if you are reviewing a report”.
“I did not summon you”.
“You gave me a deadline”.
“You needed one”.
“For what?”
“To collect yourself”.
Y/n’s eyes narrowed. “And you didn’t?”
Alexia’s expression did not change, and that was an answer in itself.
Y/n took a step closer. “You did.”
“Did what?”
“Needed to collect yourself”.
“I was perfectly composed”.
“You nearly broke the car”.
“The car is reinforced”.
Y/n laughed, causing Alexia’s gaze to sharpen, but there was no real anger in it now.
Y/n stopped a few feet away. “What were we discussing?”
Alexia leaned back against the edge of the desk.
“The one you began earlier”.
“In the garage?”
“Yes”.
“I remember more kissing than talking”.
Alexia’s eyes dropped to her mouth again this time she did not hide it. Y/n’s breath caught, and the room seemed to become smaller.
Alexia looked up. “You encouraged Jenni”.
“Jenni does not need encouragement”.
“You gave it anyway”.
“Are you still jealous?”
Alexia’s jaw moved. “Do not reduce this to jealousy”.
“What should I call it?”
Alexia said nothing.
Y/n stepped closer. “Possessiveness?”
Alexia’s gaze hardened. “Careful”.
“You already kissed me for saying that”.
“I did not kiss you because you said it”.
“No?”
“No”.
“Then why did you?”
The question changed the atmosphere, Y/n had meant it teasingly. But Alexia did not respond with sarcasm she studied her. Y/n shifted beneath the attention.
“What?” she asked.
Alexia pushed away from the desk. “You want an answer?”
“You dragged me upstairs for a discussion”.
“You have rarely seemed concerned with answers”.
“That's unfair”.
“You ask questions because you enjoy watching people decide how much truth they can afford to give you”.
Y/n’s mouth opened.
Alexia continued. “You provoke because it gives you control”.
“I thought you were the control expert”.
“I am”.
She stepped closer Y/n held her ground, barely.
Alexia’s voice lowered. “You used Jenni to provoke a response”.
“I was flirting before you arrived”.
“You continued because I arrived”.
Y/n had no answer, causing Alexia’s eyes to sharpen with satisfaction. Y/n hated how attractive she found that expression.
“You wanted to know if I cared”, Alexia said.
Y/n’s pulse picked up.
“You seem very confident”.
“You wanted to see if you could make me jealous”.
“And, did I?”
“Yes”.
The directness stopped her. Alexia did not look embarrassed, she did not sound defensive she just stated it the same way she stated everything else. As a fact.
Y/n blinked. “You admit it?”
“I do not lie about my weaknesses".
“Jealousy is a weakness?”
“Anything that affects judgement can become one”.
Y/n watched her. “Do I affect your judgement?”
Alexia did not answer immediately, that hesitation said more than an admission would have.
Y/n’s confidence returned slowly. “So I do”.
Alexia approached until only a narrow space remained between them. “You affect my patience”.
“Obviously”.
“My concentration”.
Y/n’s smile faded.
Alexia continued, “My schedule”.
Y/n thought of Misa’s words, Alexia had cancelled meetings because of her.
“And my decisions”, Alexia finished.
The air left Y/n’s lungs for several seconds she simply looked at her. Alexia didn’t usually mess around. Misa hadn’t exactly phrased it that way, but the meaning was clear if Alexia wanted some sort of distraction, she found it far away from her world. A bar, a hotel anything temporary. She never brought women into this building, let alone rearranged her work for them.
Y/n’s voice came quieter than intended. “That sounds dangerous”.
“It is”.
“For me?”
“For both of us”.
Alexia’s honesty unsettled her more than any threat had, so Y/n glanced toward the windows. Rain had started again, softly at first, thin lines against the glass.
“You could let me go”, she said.
The sentence sounded strange in the room Alexia went still.
Y/n looked back at her, “If I complicate things this much”.
“You already know I cannot”.
“Because I witnessed something?”
“Partly”.
“That is not what you said yesterday”.
“Yesterday was different”.
Y/n didn’t move everything was focused on Alexia standing in front of her with her sleeves rolled up and control still held together somehow. Y/n tried to joke, but nothing came Alexia noticed, and her expression softened by a fraction. Not enough to make her gentle, as Alexia was not gentle, but careful. Her hand lifted but paused before touching Y/n. The hesitation surprised them both.
Y/n looked at it, then at her. “You’re asking permission now?”
Alexia’s eyes sharpened. “I did before.”
“In the garage?”
“You could have stopped me”.
“That’s not the same thing”.
Alexia lowered her hand slightly, but before it could completely fall, Y/n caught her wrist. The movement happened before she could overthink it. Alexia looked down at Y/n’s fingers around her, then back at her face.
“Did I say I wanted you to stop?” Y/n said.
The confession hung between them and Alexia’s gaze changed. Not smug but something deeper, something more dangerous. Y/n released her wrist, allowing Alexia’s hand to rise again and settle against the side of her face. It was surprisingly warm as her thumb brushed along Y/n’s cheek, and before pride could interfere, Y/n leaned into it, not moving her eyes away from Alexia’s.
“You should not look at me like that”, Alexia said quietly.
“Like what?”
“As though you have forgotten what I am”.
“I know exactly what you are”.
“No”.
Alexia’s thumb moved slowly beneath her eye. “You know what I have shown you”.
“Is there a difference?”
“Yes”.
Y/n searched her face. “Are you trying to scare me?”
“I am trying to be honest”.
“That would be a first”.
Alexia’s eyes narrowed.
Y/n smiled faintly. “There she is”.
“You treat everything like a joke”.
“Not everything”.
“No?”
“No”.
Y/n’s eyes dropped to Alexia’s mouth this time, the silence was deliberate. Alexia’s hand tightened slightly against her face, not enough to hurt but enough to hold her attention.
“You are reckless”, Alexia murmured.
“You like that”.
“I tolerate it”.
“You kissed me”.
“That was not tolerance”.
Y/n looked up, the word coming out almost breathless. “No”.
Alexia stepped closer, their bodies nearly touching. Y/n could feel the heat of her without contact, it was unbearable.
“So what was it?” Y/n asked.
Alexia looked at her for a long moment. “An error”.
Y/n froze, causing Alexia’s thumb to stop. Y/n stepped back well she tried to, but Alexia’s hand kept her in place.
Y/n’s expression hardened. “Right”.
“You misunderstand”.
“You called it an error”.
“The lack of control was the error”.
Y/n looked at her.
Alexia’s jaw tightened. “Kissing you was not”.
Alexia’s hand slid slowly from her cheek to the back of her neck, giving her every opportunity to move.
“You are very bad at reassuring people”, Y/n whispered.
“I do not usually need to”.
“No?”
“No”.
“What do you usually do?”
Alexia’s gaze shifted barely. But Y/n caught it, the question had found something.
“What?” Y/n pressed.
“Nothing relevant.”.
“Now you sound like everyone else”.
Alexia’s hand remained at her neck, Y/n could feel the light pressure of her fingers beneath her hair.
“How does this usually work?” Y/n asked.
“It does not”.
“That is clearly not true”.
Alexia’s expression cooled slightly while Y/n studied her. Misa had said Alexia didn't bring women here, that didn't mean there were no women. It meant they stayed elsewhere. Y/n’s curiosity sharpened.
“At bars?” she asked.
Alexia’s eyes narrowed. “Did Misa speak to you?”
“A little”.
“She shouldn't have”.
“She was trying to warn me”.
“Did it work?”
“No”.
“I assumed not”.
Y/n’s mouth twitched. “So?”
“So what?”
“You meet someone at a bar”.
Alexia’s face became perfectly neutral.
Y/n continued. “You decide you want them”.
Alexia remained silent.
“You leave with them”.
“Y/n”.
“And then?”
“They leave”.
The answer was flat. Final.
Y/n’s teasing faded. “When?”
“When we're finished”.
“And you never see them again?”
“Usually”.
“Do they know that?”
“Yes”.
Y/n looked at Alexia there was no shame in her voice, no pride either. Alexia didn't promise more than she intended to give, that would violate everything she believed.
Y/n slowly asked, “Is that what this is?”
Alexia’s hand stilled against her neck. “No”.
The answer came immediately.
Y/n’s heartbeat jumped. “What is it, then?”
“I don't know yet”.
Alexia Putellas admitting uncertainty might have been the most alarming thing Y/n had heard since being kidnapped.
“You don’t know?”
“No”.
“You?”
Alexia’s gaze hardened. “Don't sound so pleased”.
“I am a little”.
“Why?”
“Because you always know”.
“Yes”.
“And now you don’t”.
“I know what I want”.
Y/n’s breath caught. Alexia watched the reaction closely.
“But not what it becomes”, she continued.
Y/n tried to slow her breathing. “What do you want?”
Alexia’s fingers pressed lightly against the back of her neck. “You ask dangerous questions”.
“You keep answering them”.
“Not all of them.”
“Answer this one”.
Alexia leaned closer, her forehead almost touching Y/n’s. The space between their mouths narrowed as Y/n’s eyes fluttered but stayed open. She wanted to see, wanted to catch the exact second Alexia lost the argument with herself. Instead, Alexia stopped close enough for their breath to mix, Y/n felt frustrated enough to scream, and Alexia knew as the faintest smirk appeared.
“You’re enjoying this”, Y/n whispered.
“Immensely”.
“Control freak”.
“Yes”.
“Possessive”.
Alexia’s expression shifted, and Y/n felt the hand at her neck tighten slightly.
“Careful”.
“You like when I say it”.
“No”.
“Liar”.
Alexia’s eyes darkened.
Y/n lifted her chin. “Do you want me?”
Alexia’s composure fractured, not visibly to anyone else, but Y/n was beginning to understand the small signs. The slower breath, the tension in Alexia’s fingers and the way her eyes remained fixed on Y/n’s mouth.
“Yes”.
The word was quiet, absolute, and it made Y/n’s pulse surge. Alexia moved closer, but still did not kiss her.
Y/n could not stand it. “So what are you waiting for?”
“An answer”.
“To what?”
Alexia held her gaze. “Do you want me?”
Y/n went still. She could have joked, could have pushed, could have said maybe and watched Alexia’s frustration return, but something in Alexia’s face stopped her. She was waiting. Actually waiting.
Y/n’s voice softened. “Yes”.
Alexia kissed her. The first kiss in the garage had been anger sharpened into hunger, this was different it was slower, deliberate. Alexia’s hand remained at Y/n’s neck, guiding rather than controlling, while her other settled against Y/n’s waist. Y/n reached for her instinctively her fingers caught the front of Alexia’s shirt. The fabric was smooth beneath her hands. Alexia kissed her as though she had all the time in the world, which was almost cruel. Every movement was precise. She drew back just enough for Y/n to follow without thinking, then kissed her again when she did. Y/n felt Alexia smile against her mouth.
She pulled back. “You did that on purpose.”
“Don't know what you're talking about”, Alexia replied with a playful edge to her usually calm voice.
“You are insufferable”.
“So you keep telling me”.
Y/n tugged her closer by the shirt, and Alexia allowed it. Y/n kissed her first this time. Alexia went still for a fraction of a second, then her arm tightened around Y/n’s waist. The restraint remained, but Y/n could feel everything beneath it: the tension, the hunger, the frustration Alexia had been carrying since breakfast. Y/n’s hand moved into the hair at the back of her head.
Alexia made a quiet sound against her mouth it was small, almost swallowed. It sent warmth through Y/n so quickly she nearly forgot where she was. Alexia broke the kiss her breathing was less controlled now. Only slightly.
“Interesting”, Y/n murmured.
Alexia’s gaze sharpened. “What?”
“You make sounds”.
Alexia stared at her while Y/n smiled. “That might be my new favourite discovery”, she added.
“You shouldn't have said that”.
“Why?”
Alexia spun them around, Y/n’s back meeting the desk as Alexia lifted her slightly so she was flat across it. Y/n already looked like a mess her cheeks were flushed, her lips swollen, and she was slightly out of breath. Alexia pressed her mouth against Y/n’s without warning as she fought for dominance. Just as Y/n was about to slip her tongue into Alexia’s mouth, Alexia pressed her thigh between Y/ns legs, causing a moan to escape her mouth, allowing Alexia to push her tongue into Y/n’s mouth instead.
Y/n allowed her to have control, but the friction of their clothes together was just working her up even more. Y/n reached up in an attempt to unbutton Alexia's shirt, but her hands thumbled pathetically.
Y/n mumbled against Alexia’s mouth. “Off”.
Alexia smirked as she watched Y/n but decided to take pity on her, breaking the kiss just to shrug off her shirt before pulling Y/n’s vest up and over her head and within a minute Y/n was stripped down to just her thong. Alexia’s gaze darkens as she pinned Y/n’s arms above her head and started kissing and biting her way down Y/n’s chest.
“Fuck”, Y/n mumbled as Alexia moved her hand down to where Y/n wanted it most. As soon as Alexia’s hand brushed over it and made contact with the thin layer of her thong, Y/n’s head fell back with a thump. Y/n wanted more, and that much was obviously clear on her face as Alexia began to move her fingers in a small, controlled motion.
“Alexia. Please”, Y/n groaned as she lifted her head to kiss Alexia, who happily complied and kissed back while her fingers increased in pace, causing Y/n to break the kiss, moaning loudly.
“Please”, Y/n repeated, needing more.
Alexia smirked yet again, her words coming out slightly breathless. “Please what, Y/n?”
Y/n glared up, swallowing her pride. “I need you-”. Y/n was cut off by Alexia tugging the thong down her legs and blowing cold air softly on her sensitive core. Before Y/n could get her breath back, Alexia’s tongue flicked out, pressing flat against Y/n’s heat. Y/n let out a strained moan, her hands gripping the edge of the desk now that they were free.
After a minute or so of just straight edging and growing frustration, Alexia finally pushed her tongue into Y/n, easily sinking inside due to how wet she had become.
“Fuck”, Y/n moaned, not at all cautious of how loud she was being, as she let her head fall back again. Y/n started getting close and stuttering, “Ale, G-gonna..” feeling it get closer as Alexia doubled her efforts, forcing Y/n to the edge whose orgasm came quickly and was now cumming on Alexia's tongue. Alexia pulled back to take in her hard work, Y/n looked well and truly wrecked.
After a couple of minutes of recovering, Y/n mumbles, “You could have simply admitted you liked me”.
“Liked?”
The word sounded almost insulting in Alexia’s voice. Y/n’s smile faded. Alexia stared at her for a beat, then her expression softened again.
“I don't cancel operations for people i dont like”, Alexia said.
“Misa said they were meetings”, Y/n mumbled back, not really awake.
“Misa is becoming too talkative”.
“I think she’s worried”.
“She should be”.
“About me?”
“About what I might do”.
Y/n searched her face. “What might you do?”
Alexia did not answer. Y/n lifted a hand and touched Alexia’s jaw, tracing the line gently. Y/n’s thumb kept moving over her cheekbone as Alexia covered Y/n’s hand with her own. Her eyes closed briefly as she pressed Y/n’s palm more firmly against her cheek, the gesture was so unguarded that Y/n stopped breathing. But it lasted only a second. Before they were jolted out of their bubble by the sound of muted gunshots.
Alexia's eyes shot open as the armour returned, and she stepped away, pulling her top back on and buttoning it up in a rush. She returned to the desk and collected her jacket, working through motions almost robotically as she pulled her handgun from her desk drawer and clocked it. She was pulled out of her daze by Y/n’s confused mumble.
“What's happening?” Y/n had managed to push herself up into a sitting position on the desk. And Alexia’s brain didn't know what to do. Y/n, who was usually so sarcastic and cocky, was now just a tired mess, and something was happening in the lower floors of her base that she had no control over currently.
“Don't worry about it”, Alexia replied dismissively as she helped Y/n back into her trousers and top, offering a hand as Y/n got off the desk. Once Y/n was dressed, Alexia tugged her hand, pulling her across the room.
“This way”.
The bookshelf beside the desk slid open at the press of a hidden button.
Y/n blinked, “You’ve got a secret corridor now?”
Alexia didn't answer as another explosion shook the floor beneath them and dust drifted from the ceiling. Y/n lost her footing, her legs were already wobbly from before.
Alexia caught her instantly. “Move”.
They were halfway down the corridor when Misa appeared from the opposite direction, pistol already drawn.
"They breached the loading entrance," she said. "Looks coordinated."
Alexia nodded once, looked at Y/n, then back to Misa.
"Take her".
Y/n frowned. "What?"
"The safe room".
"I'm not-"
Another burst of automatic fire interrupted her much closer. Someone shouted Alexia's name from somewhere beyond the corridor while Misa glanced towards the sound.
"They're pushing upstairs".
Alexia's expression hardened. "I know".
She looked back at Misa.
"Do not leave her".
"I won't".
Alexia released Y/n's wrist and immediately turned towards the sound of the fighting.
Y/n realised what she intended. "No".
Alexia didn't stop.
"Alexia".
Still walking, Y/n reached forward without thinking her fingers wrapped around Alexia's wrist.
Y/n took a shaky breath. "At least try to be safe".
The words came out much softer than she'd intended no sarcasm, just honest concern. Alexia looked at her for a long moment the chaos outside seemed impossibly far away. Finally, Alexia lifted her free hand, and her knuckles brushed lightly against Y/n's cheek.
"I intend to be".
Notes: Sets up the start for the next part quite well. Got halfway through writing it and decided I hated it, so I restarted, but not sure if I even like this version now, but I won't delay it for you. Im really bad at writing smut so sorry about that but hopefully you enjoy it. Thank you for reading.
She drew the pistol from beneath her jacket in one smooth motion. The warmth vanished from her expression in its place stood the woman who ruled Barcelona's underworld, cold, certain, and untouchable.
She looked once more at Y/n, then turned and without another word, sprinted towards the sound of the gunfire.
Y/n watched her disappear around the corner. Only when she was gone did Misa place a gentle but insistent hand on Y/n's shoulder.
"Come on."
Y/n didn't move. Her eyes remained fixed on the empty corridor where Alexia had vanished.
Misa's voice was quieter than usual, "She'll come back."
