Seth shrugged in agreement. It wasn’t often he stopped and reevaluated his life like this, (which was probably the reason he lived to carelessly before now) so it was nice to gain some insight on the way Ophelia made choices about hers. “I guess so. Yeah, as long you’re happy, I think that’s what’s important. I mean, my decision was sort of made for me, but in the long run..it’s made me a lot better person. What brought all this on, though?” he smiled, his hand finding hers reassuringly.  

He noticed the uneasy look on Ophelia’s face as the boys began with their rude advances on other customers in the bar. His fingers squeezed hers once more, a friendly gesture, more than anything, and he gave her a look that showed just how annoyed he was by the racket at the back of the bar, too. It was typical immature behavior expected from such a group, but what were they supposed to do about it?  “Just ignore them, they’re just trying to boost their egos. They’ll forget about it soon enough. he murmured,  “Wow, you just about nailed it! You should come work with me already, we’ll be two partners in crime, huh?”

Ophelia ran her hands through her hair as she listened to Seth speak. “& being a good person matters as well, because if you’re a shit person than good things won’t happen to you, & then you won’t be happy. I uh- I’m not really sure what brought this on. I guess the guys are just getting under my skin is all. It’s almost like a game to them, a game they’re good at winning.” Letting out an annoyed sigh, the brunette grabbed her water & took a sip. “Plus, I like talk about life choices. Like, imagine what would happen if we didn’t make the choices we made today?” 

Their voices were louder than anyone else's in the. Their footsteps vibrated even more than the music that was playing in the background. The group of boys made their way closer to where they were sitting, which only made Seth’s squeeze a bit startling. Deciding to ignore the boys, she laughed at how he acted after her failed attempt at understanding cars. “Seriously! You & I would be great. You could yell small wrench & I would know exactly what you were talking about.” 

About to go on, she locked eyes with one of the boys. Her heart sank to her stomach as he walked over, his friends not far behind. “Well look at this- it’s the Virgin Mary & the father of the year. Ophelia, we do know now that you have to have sex in order to have children, & you know his record. Why don’t you just come home with me instead. I promise I have a clean record- plus I know how to use protection.”

Cheating was one thing that Lexi wouldn’t stand for. Cheating with your spouces step sister was something that wouldn’t be tolerated in the slightest. The music that had been flooding her home stopped long enough for her to come out with a single comment. “I’ve met many pricks in my day. But you, sir, are a cactus.” With a roll of her vibrant blue eyes, the blonde walked out of her room, slamming the door behind her. After practically running down the stairs, the blonde grabbed her keys & made her way to her car before feeling someone grab her arm. “This isn’t the time to screw around with me, get the fuck off.”

Aria was sitting at the bar with a friend, waiting for her drink to come. Turning to them, the brunette couldn't help but laugh at the situation that was at hand. “My older sister left her husband at the alter- I’ve spent the past four days doing damage control & all I want is a nice glass of whiskey.” Rolling her eyes at the buzzing coming from her pocket, the brunette turned her phone off. "So what's new with you? I figured we should catch up since I haven't seen you since the wedding- & I didn't want you to think I was ignoring you or anything. I just- I needed you to know that."

It was always a bad idea for Daisy to bring her mother, or anything related to her life back in California, into a conversation. She wasn’t even sure why she still did it. It always ended up the same way. She’d get bummed, and just generally killed the mood. But she wasn’t going to allow that to happen tonight. She couldn’t; especially not after Poppy’s douche bag of a boyfriend stood her up. It was Daisy’s sole intent of the night to make sure that her friend had fun. So she leaned forward, picking up the bottle of wine the two girls were sharing, taking a little bit longer of a swig this than than previous times. There was plenty more wine where this came from, so Daisy wasn’t too worried about drinking a little more of it. It wasn’t long before the blonde’s head began to swim a little. She leaned back against the couch, a little giggle lilting from her lips when Poppy told her she was worth having standards. She looked at her friend, grinning cheesily as she reached up, gently poking her friend in the cheek with her index finger, “You’re too good to me, y'know that? You’re like…my lil’ self-esteem boost.” Finally, Daisy stood up, heading slowly for the kitchen, “It’s official. M'gonna have standard. And m'gonna be a lesbian,” she said confidently, “M'gonna be the best lesbian.”

It was obvious that Daisy was struggling with something, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t concerned. “Hey, are you sure you’re okay? I mean, you should know by now you can tell me anything.” It was Poppy’s nature to worry- it was all she ever really did. She worried about her brother & how he was handling college, she worried about herself about things she would never say out loud, & she worried about friends- Daisy at the top of that list. “You know, if you don’t wanna talk we could always just dance it out or something. That’s what I do when I’m upset, I dance around my apartment in my underwear & usually sing along into my bottle of wine. I say we finish this one off & claim one for ourselves, then dance around.” Smirking at the blonde’s comment, the brunette nodded. “That’s my job. I enjoy being the little self-esteem boost. It’s the most rewarding job anyone can do. & good for you, you go be the best lesbian you can be.”

Savannah became wide eyed as she looked at the girl. Had she really just signed pickle? She shook her head and became slightly frustrated. She was a certified teacher, there was no way she had just signed pickle. “Oh no, no. I don’t like caffeine,” she patted out her dress as she sat in the metal chair outside of the shop. Pulling out her notebook she set it down on the table. “We’re doing Math this time, right?” she signed to the girl before she flipped through her own math notes.

Raising an eyebrow, the fellow blonde just shook her head. “The fact that you just told me you don’t like coffee actually hurts my heart. That’s like saying you don’t cry when you see kittens for adoption. It’s just wrong.” A smirk appeared from the corner of her mouth as she nodded. “Yes, Math. I figured getting ahead for next year would be best, so if you could help me with calculus I would appreciate that highly.”

Grace scrunched her nose and shook her head. “Oh no, he did not do that,” she grabbed the throw pillow next to her and hugged it. “Orange chicken?” the girl asked the other knowing it was something she was allergic to. “Of course, order food. I kind of want pizza,” she told the girl. Grace pretended to flip her hair and giggled. “I know, I’m trying out this new stand up thing, you think I could make it?” she laughed slightly.

Audrey nodded, laughing softly. “Yep. If he had even asked me I could have told him I was allergic to orange, yet that doesn’t even matter because it wasn’t what he wanted. I don’t know, I just know that I’m never going out with him again.” After listening to her stomach growl for a moment, the brunette nodded. “Pizza & fries? I could go for some french fries at this point.” Rolling her eyes, Audrey shook her head. “If it was for an audience of tiny humans, maybe.”

My bed is calling my name, so I’m gonna go curl up in it & sleep. Goodnight to all of you lovely people, I shall be back at some point tomorrow.

Late. Savannah was always late. Not that she didn’t want to be in the places where she needed to be, there would always just be something that caused her to be late. And of all of the days to be late, she was late the her study session with Jane. Running up to the coffee shop where they had planned to meet, Savannah saw the girl and made eye contact with her. Waving at the girl she ran up to the table. “I’m so sorry I’m late. I missed the bus on the way over here and it took twenty minutes for the next one to come,” Savannah spoke as she signed to the girl at the same time. Taking a deep breath in, she looked at the girl with a smile. “You ready?”

Smiling as she watched Savannah in a frenzy, Jane decided to mess with her a bit. “You know, you signed the word pickle, not bus. It’s okay, I forgive you.” It was a natural habit to speak along with signing, though she did hate speaking. That was really the only way Jane could get by, though. It wasn't like everyone in the world was fluent in sign language, or even knew what she was doing when she moved her hands. Taking her seat, the blonde just shrugged her shoulders. “I’m as ready as ready can be. Why don’t you go get yourself a coffee & relax a bit, I promise it’s no big deal, I was running late anyways. & before you freak yourself out more, you did sign bus, I was just messing with you. Just remember that I’ll probably do that to you every time you sign to me, & that I’ll actually make it clear when I’m kidding next time.”

Curled up on her couch, Grace looked up from her book as she heard a banging on the door. She could hear her friend yelling from outside the door and she shook her head. Popping up from the couch, she made her way over and opened the door. “I’m guessing the date didn’t go so hot?” Grace slightly frowned as she pushed the door open for her friend to walk in. “Also next time just walk in, you woke up the baby!” Grace joked with Audrey as she sat back down in her spot.

The moment Audrey walked in, her first reaction was to rip off her shoes & jump onto the couch, lying back in a dramatic pose. “Grace- he ordered my dinner. Do you know how much I hate being told what to eat? A lot. I didn’t even eat because I was allergic- though I wish I had because at least I wouldn’t have had to listen to him. Can we order food? I’ll buy if you just help me decide what I really want in my stomach.” Smirking at the other brunette’s comment, Audrey just rolled her eyes. “You’re a real comedian, Gracie.”

There was nothing Jane hated more than coffee shops. Why she agreed to meet up Savannah at a coffee shop she would never understand- & what she would never understand further was why she was the one to suggest it. Maybe it was her inner college student trying to break free, or maybe it was to get over her hatred of the local coffee shop. Finally near the front, the petite girl couldn’t tell if the barista was speaking to her, or the person in front of her, until she felt a shove from the person behind her. “Alright, sorry,” the girl grumbled, getting on her lip toes to order. Just deciding to nod, Jane made her way up to the counter, pulling out her money. Almost feeling relieved when the cashier looked up at her to say the price of her drink, she handed the man a five & waited for her drink, waiting for Savannah to come before grabbing a table outside.

Sitting out in her front yard, Lennon laid back on the ground, eyes focusing on the sky above her. It was her way of staying grounded- realizing that she was just one small being in such a large universe. Smiling at the tought, the brunette could feel her body buzzing from the bass that was blaring inside. Her brother decided that he wanted to throw a party as a way to kick off the summer, but Lennon wasn’t in the party mood. 

The air around her was crisp, but not too cold, just the way Lennon liked it. The night would have been more enjoyable if she didn’t have to deal with drunks leaving the party, & complete strangers just walking in- making her home theirs as well. Hearing the screen door shut, the brunette’s view of the starry night turned into a familiar face hanging theirs right above her. 

“Do you ever miss who we all used to be?” The question was one that she wasn’t expecting a true answer to- just a brush off followed by some meaningless conversation, but it was still a question Lennon thought about often.

“Of course it is, if you don’t add brown sugar it ruins the entire cookie. I mean, you don’t get all the good stuff in the package. Making it by hand is completely effective.”

i want my muses to have more deep conversations. like reacting to things is cool & putting them on the spot is fun but exploring their mind with the help of another muse & watching your muse discover who they are gradually & dig into the depths of their soul man i need more of this.
