Sudha Reddy wearing custom Manish Malhotra at the Met Gala 2026.
Metal accessories by Kavya Potluri.
Sudha Reddy: 'Hyderabad is not just my origin; it is a language, a rhythm, a way of being. Through this look, I aspired to translate that sensibility into a form that could exist effortlessly on a global stage while remaining deeply rooted in the South Indian imagination.
The Tree of Life, envisioned by Manish Malhotra in collaboration with Mariel Haenn, becomes the central metaphor an unfolding of time, memory and continuity. Drawing from the storytelling traditions of Kalamkari, it is reinterpreted here as something sculptural and alive, where every thread holds a fragment of history.

Trout & Pike on some scraps of blue Lokta, which will soon be added to my miniprint collection. I wanted to see if my Pfeil tool could still be used when in desperate need of professional sharpening and the answer is: it's doing its best. I have a 12/1 and 11/0.5 that have practically ceased to function despite regular attentions with strop and polishing compound, so it's just been me and that red speedball thing against the world for well over a year.
Shoutout to the little brace of new followers I got after my recent lily of the valley print!
This is Doris Pollas, the cofounder of the organisation now known as lgbt+ Denmark which by being founded in 1948 is one of the oldest ongoing queer organisation in the world.
Doris lived in a farm in Jutland as a child. She was always butch and figured out she was a lesbian in her teens. When she heard about a club in copenhagen where boys kissed boys and girls kissed girls she went just some months after and it was through that club she started a paper connecting queer people all up to seventies and co founded lgbt+ Denmark.
She is now 97 years old and wishes for every queer person to have an as loving and accepting family as she did.
I don’t see a lot of older gays from my country, so learning about Doris, a masc lesbian, was really nice.
Doris passed ways last summer, aged 101. Here’s the obituary LGBT+ Danmark wrote for her - in English
