The Most Dangerous Writing App: A website where you have to keep typing or all of your writing will be lost. It helps you keep writing…kind of. You can choose between a time or word count limit!

Evernote: An online website where you can take notes and save the product to your laptop and/or smartphone!

Writer, the Internet Typewriter: It’s just you and your writing, and you can save your product on the website if you create an account.

Wordcounter: A website to help check your word and character count, and shows words you’re using frequently.

Monospace: An Android app for writing on the go when you feel the inspiration, but you don’t have your laptop on you!

Fanfic recommendations 2 (Part 1)

I’m always looking for recommendations so I thought I’ll make my own list:

Something to talk about by @SpiraledIntoThisRabbithole: Currently in progress, have at it with best friends Ballet Dancer Tessa and Hockey Player Scott who, oh surprise, are really dense about their feelings. They do adidas campaigns together.

Currently under construction by @pumpkinpasties: Scott has to move in with Tessa what makes them realize that feelings are a thing. They become parents of cats and are pros at domesticity. In progress.

It had to be you by @pumpkinpasties: When Harry meet Sally AU, currently in progress. Achingly cute, with a weapo cameo.

What’s Love Got to Do With It? by @jackpotgirl : AU where Tessa and Scott are best friends competing on a reality tv show. Objetive? Make the nation believe they are a real couple (they are not). Cue messiness, angst and denial of feelings. There’s also a companion fic from Scott’s POV. Both works currently in progress

BALANCE! by @jackpotgirl​: it’s a sequel to BEHAVE!, story of what comes after, featuring family feels and two cute kids. Amazing because it depicts real life with it’s lows and downs (so fluff, angst and smut). Is part of the TOGETHER! universe, and you should read all of it cause is amazing. Work in progress.

I’ll be your home by @carmen_sandiego: Future AU, where Tessa and Scott are still best friends who broke up post TTYCT. Featuring messy feelings and mutual pining. Extra long chapters, promises to be a long one. In progress.

We were partners by @IntoTheVoidAndBeyond6: Warning, this fic will break you. When Scott (who is married to a non Tessa) dies, Tessa starts dreaming about a universe where they are together and happy. Featuring a very lovely widow and pain, so much pain (it has fluff though, I’ll never rec a full angst ride). It will make you form a thousand plot theories.

The Home Sweet Home series, with Coming Home to You and its prequel Wide Eye Dreamers by @pinkgerberdaisies: Tessa and Scott meet when they are kids and become childhood sweethearts then, shit happens. A full ride with angst, fluff and denial. I recommend starting with Coming Home to You (their adult years), and then reading about their teenage drama. Prequel in progress.

Play me a memory by @wishfulwannabe: Bandmates AU! Everything we didn’t know we needed (thanks Emma!). Featuring a really soft Scott and shy feisty Tessa. Work in progress.

Shot at the Night by @riskinghearts: Tessa moves back to her hometown with her twin daughters in tow. There she founds out that her ex best friend Scott is going to be her daughters’ teacher. Featuring: ex single skater Tessa, ex hockey player Scott and two really smart kiddos. Super long read, currently in progress.

The two new additions to the Wild Horses universe, Offstage Lines, a sequel to the original fic with non related chapters and  Everywhere, the AU AU where they keep and raise Katie as their daughter. All of it by the lovely @iwantthemtostay

the long way round by @virtueoso : future fic (six years post Korea). Tessa is living in Paris, and one day she gets an email from Scott, asking for help with one of his ice dance couples back in Montreal. Featuring coach Scott and choreographer Tessa.

Just One Cookbook: recipe site that centers on Japanese cuisine. Lots of different recipes to browse, plenty of inspiration so you’re not just “ramen and sushi” 

This comparing heights page: gives you a visual on height differences between characters

A page on the colors of bruises+healing stages: well just that. there you go. describe your bruises properly

McCormick Science Institute: yes this is a real thing. the site shows off research on spices and gives the history on them. be historically accurate or just indulge in mindless fascination. boost your restaurant au with it

A Glossary of Astronomy Terms: to pepper in that sweet terminology for your astrophysics major college au needs

Cocktail Flow: a site with a variety of cocktails that’s pretty easy to navigate and offers photos of the drinks. You can sort by themes, strengths, type and base. My only real annoyance with this site is that the drinks are sometimes sorted into ~masculine~ and ~feminine~ but ehhhh. It’s great otherwise.

Tie-A-Tie: a site centered around ties, obviously. I stumbled upon it while researching tie fabrics but there’s a lot more to look at. It offers insight into dress code for events, tells you how to tie your ties, and has a section on the often forgotten about tie accessories
