I am from the northern Gaza Strip. When the war started on October 7, 2023, shells began to fall and the sounds of bombing filled the sky.
My family and I were hiding in the house, afraid to go out because of the intense shelling.
After days, they started threatening us with eviction from our house, so we were forced to flee from place to place, finally reaching Rafah in search of shelter and medicine for my elderly parents, but to no avail.
The harsh conditions and polluted environment have caused our health to deteriorate and we have lost weight.
My father's factory and office were destroyed, and we now have no shelter or source of livelihood.

Because of the nature of the fundraisers listed on my blog, I highly recommend focusing on getting the 40k £ needed for evacuation (and if possible a little more for the means to actually survive in Egypt once evacuated) and moving onto another evacuation fundraiser. But if you personally have a lot of money and woild like to see a Palestinian's sustainable business thrive in Egypt and it won't prevent you from donating to other evacuation fundraisers, go for it.
Every donation, no matter the size, will directly contribute my needs—shelter, food, medical assistance, and the hope to start anew after we lost every sources of income in this war at Gaza.

I am deeply discouraged by this genocide, which destroyed everything, including my eco-friendly office and factory, my greatest achievements in Gaza. It took me a long time to build them, and it took years to establish this project. Now, everything is rubble from the occupation's bombardment, and I am now in Rafah.

Have you ever experienced seeing your dream shattered before your eyes and being unable to do anything about it? Have you ever considered living in a tent amidst cold and unclean surroundings, sleeping on sand, with no bathroom or water? Have you thought about living in a place where you can't meet the basic needs of your family and feeling helpless about it?
I am Ahmed from northern Gaza Strip. Throughout my life, I've been working to build a life for me and for my family. I persevered to establish a good source of income. However, when the war starts in the Gaza on October 7, 2023, my family and I had to move from the north to the south of the Gaza amidst bombings and destruction. We were in extreme fear during the displacement, and we found ourselves in a small, inadequate tent. Despite the lack of safety, food, clean water, and the spread of diseases, we were forced to live this difficult life under Bombing, knowing that at any moment, I and my family could lose our lives.
I love my work very much, and I have worked in various fields. My latest accomplishment was building an environmentally friendly paper cup factory. Building this factory was like a dream, but it wasn't easy. It required a big effort, time, and sacrifices. I was proud of being successful in this project, managing the factory with love and dedication, overcoming all challenges I have faced. However, the war on Gaza destroyed everything I owned, Crushing my only source of income into the ground. The dream of my life, which I worked hard to build, was turned into debris by this war, turning years of hard work into Rubble.
My entire life has been scattered, and I'm extremely frustrated and saddened by the ongoing genocide that I witness every day.
Do you understand what it means to be in a position where you’ve been displaced time and time again, just to get to the only supposed safe area that you have been ordered to go to by a force that’s so much stronger than you as an unarmed civilian, just to be told that you can’t be there anymore ? and that is after you have lost everything, like your home, your memories, your friends, family members and loved ones, your job, and everything that you’ve worked so hard in order to achieve…
Amidst these hardships, I see a glimmer of hope, as I haven't given up yet.
