        you know that feeling when you take off wet socks after a long , rainy day and stick yourself in front of the fire ? that’s sort of what the concoction tasted like , and kamala savored every bit of it . constantly screaming classic phrases such as “embiggen!” , “get out of the way!” , and “no , i don’t give boat rides!” took a toll on your throat after a while .       ‘  it kinda reminds me of what my mom used to give me when i was sick when i was a little girl . ’

kamala’s response was barely more than a whisper , as had been the few other words she’d managed to utter out in the past hours . it was supposed to be like every other day in her not-so-ordinary life , stopping crime , kicking butt . today had been different . it’d been a bloodbath , almost quite literally . all it took was one misunderstanding , one underestimation , and multiple civilians had been shot down in cold blood . she would have certainly been among those who had perished had it not been for her healing factor , and even then she had come close to succumbing to her wounds . had it not been for thor ... she didn’t allow herself to think what else could have occurred .
